"Invisible String" is my least favorite song on the album but I agree that it would be a suitable choice for country radio. The instrumentation and melody remind me so much of Kacey Musgraves‘ style it’s insane.

Billboard Hot 100: #99 (RE) Fake. The real #99 is 21 by Polo G.

Oh jeez. Love Kane Brown but he would absolutely not be able to handle a song of that caliber. i dont like Kane at all but that's the safest choice for me. He got that deep voice, kinda relevant at this moment (although he's all over the place rn with those pop releases). If Universal want to maximize its potential on country radio a.k.a business, i would pick him.

I know I stated this could be Taylor’s first top 40 single since “Red” but my question is did she have any songs chart below the top 40 between this and “Red”.

I doubt they'll do that to Exile. I agree with pushing Invisible String to country after this if they want another single here.

If they were to replace Bon Iver with a country artist, I think I’d like someone like Jimmie Allen, one of the lads from Little Big Town or even Zac Brown. I would’ve said Charles Kelley but let’s be honest, she’s not touching anything Lady A related at the moment. I don’t think she needs a big male artist to get a hit, she’s Taylor Swift! So I’d prefer someone with a great voice
Anyway, hope Betty does well, it’s probably my fave from Folklore.

Moved 49-42* on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week. Currently a few hundred-plus spins out of the top 40 on Mediabase's country chart.
Not sure if it was mentioned- three more adds this week. Come on, country radio, get those spins up.

It's looking like it'll be a hit. Even A-List country names take 4-6 months to peak, or longer.

Do you guys think this release will put her back in contention for Female Vocalist at the 2021 ACM and CMA’s? It would be her first time back in the category since 2014.

jab- yeah, I often see country loaded with bullets, even for songs that have been on the chart for months and months. :) Hopefully more stations will pick up "betty" as the weeks prgoress.

Held at 42* on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week.
Looking at Mediabase's country top 50- why are some tracks ranked out of order?

Held at 42* on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week. Looking at Mediabase's country top 50- why are some tracks ranked out of order? MB's Country Airplay chart is ranked based on a points system with spins weighted by factors like station size and time of day, a formula which we are not privy to its calculation. It differs from other charts where it is based only on spin count, or BB's audience measurement.

Maybe HolidayGuy means the actual published chart versus the Rolling chart?

Maybe HolidayGuy means the actual published chart versus the Rolling chart? Either way, there will be some songs ranked ahead of others with less spins and/or audience. As .indulgecountry mentioned, Mediabase ranks their singles by total points. Spins, audience and where the spins are coming from (market size) go into the point calculations. Billboard ranks their airplay chart purely on audience. Before 2005, Billboard ranked it by total spins (1993-2004).

Thanks- I hasn't noticed that before, in the times I checked. It was confusing, as the songs were out of order by spin counts. And they weren't in order by audience.

This is Taylor’s first top 40 hit on Country Airplay since “Red” in 2013.

She was featured on "Babe," which hit top 20, though, yes, her first solo top 40 airplay hit since then. :) Up 42-39*.

I am 113% here for this to become an actual hit, wow! Very excited to see how country radio treats this one going forward now that it's in the Top 40--it's incredible and beautifully nostalgic to hear NEW solo Taylor on country radio in 2020.

I love this song so much.
It continues to amaze me when you compare the quality of the music the females release to country radio vs the males. It’s like a whole different genre: quality.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS!! It's been so long since she's been at the ACM Awards and I can't wait to see her. This performance is likely going to really help not only album sales (of course), but also betty's run on the country charts.

Don't think this was mentioned, but... "betty" was tied for most added (16) per BDS (billboard) for the Sept. 12 chart. At No. 39, it had an audience of 2.834m (+0.623), with 868 spins (ranked No. 41 in spins).
And, per BDS, it looks like WCTO (Cat Country 96 in Eastern Pa.) added it last week. Not currently ranked in the top 50 at the station.

Betty, I won't make assumptions about how your chart run is going to go, but I think you're gonna smash.
