Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think either "Diane" or "Dime Store Cowgirl" has ever won a rankdown before! Lemme go check right quick...

You pick the time and the place Don't know how much this hurts I gave him my heart to break Now I know he broke yours first Lyin' right there in my bed While he was lying to you Believing the words that he said How could we be such fools? 2. “Diane” - Cam Total: 365 Average: 17.38 Std Dev: 15.49 (23rd Highest)
I'm just a dime store cowgirl That's all I'm ever gonna be You can take me out of the country But you can't take the country out of me, no 'Cause I'm still the girl from Golden Had to get away so I could grow But it don't matter where I'm goin' I'll still call my hometown home 1. “Dime Store Cowgirl” - Kacey Musgraves Total: 348 Average: 16.57 Std Dev: 12.46 (10th Lowest)

Well damn! I would've liked to see Cam take this but I can't be too upset to see Kacey take it either, and I have to say I wouldn't have pegged either to even be in the Top 2 tbh, so I'll take it! What a rankdown this was! And while I missed the first half of this series, I'm glad I got to participate in the second half. Thanks for hosting tim and I look forward to whatever else is up your sleeve in the future!

Oh, thank God. I thought for sure "Diane" was going to win when it hadn't left by top 5.

Both "Diane" and "Dime Store Cowgirl" remained consistent top contenders with the former being the strongest earlier on in its run. ClevelandRox flexed his muscle yet again as his last minute list ended up pushing "The Blade" out of its crown and allowing Kacey to leap ahead!

Ashley McBryde ”Radioland“ Catch a Friday night game or a Sunday sermon in the cab of a Chevrolet Casey Kasem in an old Panasonic countin' down my Saturday Mixtape Valentine, love cuts like a knife I wanna hold your hand I got my first kiss, I got my first bass all thanks to Radioland
Buy a guitar, learn a couple songs Find some buddies and start a band Get on a bus, try your luck out here in Radioland
Cassadee Pope ”I Wish I Could Break Your Heart“ Well the truth is that I never ever wanna hurt you baby But it'd be nice to know that I could Be strong enough to pull you under, throw you back a little under thunder Even though I never would I wish I could break, I wish I could break your heart
Ashley Monroe ”Hands On You“ I wish I would've laid my hands on you Shown you a thing or two I wish I would've pushed you against the wall Lock the door and bathroom stall, windows and the screen I wish you would've laid your hands on me That kind gon' bring you to your knees I wish I would've let you lay me down 'Cause I wouldn't be here wishing now I wish I would've laid my hands on you
Cam ”Burning House“ I've been sleepwalking, been wondering all night Trying to take what's lost and broke And make it right I've been sleepwalking, too close to the fire But it's the only place that I can hold you tight In this burning house
Kacey Musgraves ”Follow Your Arrow“ So make lots of noise, kiss lots of boys Or kiss lots of girls, if that's something you're into When the straight and narrow gets a little too straight Roll up the joint, or don't Just follow your arrow Wherever it points

Thank you all again for following along tonight as we made our way to crowning Kacey Musgraves as the Queen of Country for the 2010s! I've spent the better part of the day on this lol, so for now I'm going to start winding down for the night. I might come back around tomorrow to post some final thoughts, but until then thanks again y'all!!

"Diane" is incredible. Such a clever song, it should have been a big hit.
Kacey is so talented and I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but "Pageant Material" is my favorite album of hers. "Dime Store Cowgirl" deserves this win, although in the end I was rooting for "Diane".
Anyway, this is my favorite results of a rankdown that I was a part of. 4 of my top5 songs were on the top6 and this is crazy!
Thank you so much @tim for your work, you're very good at this and I love to see all the stats that you post.

A Diane win would've been iconic but still happy for Dime Store Cowgirl! 🤠 I have to be honest here for a moment and admit that I am feeling a tad bit...let's say melancholy that this series is coming to an end! I was running on the treadmill at the gym earlier this afternoon and as I was revisiting some of the songs for this rankdown something just kind of came over me. What started as a bottle of wine kind of night with K.T. Oslin turned into the 80's Ladies of Country and here we are almost two years later coming to the end of the fourth and final series! Maybe you could do a part 2 of sorts with different songs selected by some of these women through the decades? I'd love to see the series continue! 😍 Thanks so much for hosting this and I'm sorry if I threw a big ole wrench in the final results. 😂

I'd love to see the series continue! 😍 Thanks so much for hosting this and I'm sorry if I threw a big ole wrench in the final results. 😂 Sooo....this has crossed my mind actually as I was pondering about doing an all-stars rankdown where I'd take the top ten songs from the 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s and do a rankdown for that. If the interest is there for that I'll certainly consider it! And no worries at all that's what makes these rankdowns fun! Someone's gotta shake things up a little to keep it interesting edit: I think I misread that question, but yes I'd consider that as well! For now I'm ready to take a small break from this series, though, and move on to some other rankdowns I've been itching to do.

I take back what I said about ClevelandRox moving Sara up into the top 10 negating the damage he done because damn Ashley Monroe could've won this with the impeccable "The Blade." </3 If LBTrocks had bothered to submit and stop being a flop then she probably still would've won it.

Before I reveal the final three songs, I'd like to take this moment to thank each and everyone who has participated in and followed along with this series as it really has been a labor of love for me. Thanks for making this a fun and informative experience, tim. When you get to the final reveals and start regretting that you're nearing the end of the journey ... then you know that "you did good". Well done.
