Unfortunately I didn't have a lot to work with in regards to selecting a song to showcase for Faith Hill and had she been the solo vocalist on "Break First" I would've included that. "Come Home" would've been a much safer selection, but I thought the message behind this song fit in better with this rankdown.

Tanya Tucker ”The House That Built Me“ I thought if I could touch this place or feel it This brokenness inside me might start healing Out here it's like I'm someone else Thought that maybe I could find myself
Ma'am If I could walk around, I swear I'll leave Won't take nothing but a memory From the house that built me
Aubrie Sellers ”Light of Day“ It's a long way there and it's a long way home And there ain't no map for the road I'm on Wind won't blow, stars won't shine Been that way for the longest time Looking for something to show me the way Sure gets dark before the light of day
Loretta Lynn ”Coal Miner’s Daughter“ Well a lot of things have changed since a way back then And it's so good to be back home again Not much left but the floor, nothing lives here anymore Except the memory of a coal miner's daughter
Faith Hill ”Come Home“ I get lost in the beauty of everything I see The world ain’t as half as bad as they paint it to be When all the sons, all the daughters stop to take it in Then hopefully the hate subsides and the love can begin It might start now, maybe I’m just dreaming out loud
Danielle Bradbery ”Young in America“ Whoa-oh, oh, oh, ready set go Gotta get out of this small town Whoa-oh, oh, oh, the open road Air to breathe, the sun is shining down Oh whoa, it's you and me in the land of the free So baby, let's run while we're young in America

And there are your bottom five songs! I might swing back around later tonight so that we can get the bottom ten out of the way, but with the grand finale of the Carrie Underwood rankdown taking place I'll likely hold off until tomorrow.

Shocked to see Danielle Bradbery's song this low. I didn't expect her to do like particularly well with "The Heart of Dixie," but bottom 5? Wow. It's a pretty pleasant song, not something I thought was disliked. I gather she would've done better with one of her more recent singles instead though.

And there are your bottom five songs! I might swing back around later tonight so that we can get the bottom ten out of the way, but with the grand finale of the Carrie Underwood rankdown taking place I'll likely hold off until tomorrow. In fact, I was just about to kick the grand finale off within the next hour so stay tuned y'all! As for these reveals, the one I'm most disappointed by is Faith Hill leaving so early with "American Heart." I think this is a wonderful song and it at least deserved Top 30 here. I know Faith and this song in particular have their detractors so I didn't expect too much but I also didn't expect to see her clear down in the bottom 5. Nothing else was too upsetting (well in hindsight I'm also pretty sad to see Danielle in the bottom 5 as well) but I know any minute things will start to get hectic and painful!

A little disappointed Tanya and Dani already went out but the other three I really don't care for. The Loretta song in particular is rough lol

I really love "American Heart." I remember even at the time of its release that that was an UO. Still, I wouldn't have expected either it or Bradbery's song in the bottom 10. I remember being a little disappointed by Bradbery's debut--considering what a great voice she has to work with--simply because of how dull it was for the most part although I appreciated the fairly traditional sound she had then. The only track I truly loved from that album is "Never Like This." "I Will Never Forget You" and "My Day" are alright though.

Two 'heart' songs out in a row lol American Heart feels cheesy and pandering so glad it's bottom 5 even though I thought it would barely escape it. Danielle Bradbery's singing is still very boring and the dull melody did not help The Heart of Dixie much. Definitely want to see Caitlyn Smith sings this instead. Just to Be With You isn't that bad but because the country forum is mostly incompatible with actual rock songs, it's clearly the bottom 5 contender from the start. Loretta Lynn in her 80s sounds much better than Tanya Tucker in her 60s. Oh well. Doesn't help that Mustang Ridge is repetitive af.

Good morning y'all! I'm going to go ahead and reveal the next five songs which will clear out the bottom 10. Here are a few stats for what you can expect to see: - The songs with the 6th and 11th lowest standard deviation will exit along with the 8th and 10th most polarizing songs
- One participant will lose two top ten rankings along with three others
- We see the first of multiple top fives eliminated including a top two ranking
- Seven participants will say goodbye to their last ranked song
- Four of the songs out in the bottom 10 had also spent a few rounds in the bottom 5

Stats for #50:
Our first song to leave in this set got off to a good start as it received its first and only top 10 ranking and even maintained its top 20 status for the next few lists that came in. It unfortunately then got hit with its first of six bottom five rankings including two participants who put this as their last ranked song. It was never able to recover and even dipped back into the bottom five, but it was saved near the end from such a fate thanks in part to a near top 20 ranking.

I was a bit shocked to see how poorly this was received as it's long been a favorite of mine from the previous decade. While this was her only solo Top 30 country hit, she did co-write Jana Kramer's "I Got the Boy" which became a Top 5 hit in 2015. Jamie is currently starring in Netflix's romance drama Sweet Magnolias which premiered in May, 2020.

I will have to check it out! As for the song, I'm gutted to see it out this early because I remember that it seemed to get quite positive feedback upon release, so I never would've expected this out so early. It's such a beautiful song and I'm still a bit sad that she never really did much with country music after it. Given her connections, I figured she very easily could've secured a record deal in Nashville, but maybe she never really desired it. Who knows. Fantastic voice though, and I'm a huge fan of her sister.

Wow, the bottom 5 went pretty well for me but I don't like how this set is going AT ALL. I can't say I'm surprised at either of these last two winding up low given how polarizing the two artists were on Pulse during their times releasing singles to country radio, but I love both of these, especially "Pretender." The JaneDear Girls are a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I absolutely loved their one and only album, and I wish they'd been huge.

The final song to exit the bottom 10 was also a rather polarizing one as it comes in with the 8th highest standard deviation. Two participants lose their first top five ranking while two more lose a top ten (including one who loses their second top 10!). At the other end we have six participants losing a bottom five including not one, not two, but three last place songs.

This took a few listens to grow on me but now I kinda think it's a jam and quite catchy.
