Besides Keith Urban, Olivia Newton-John, Morgan Evans, Sherrie Austin and Kasey Chambers, we are getting a new crop of singers and bands that country radio used to play in the US. Here are some of them being pushed.
Come Midnight by Andrew Farriss Outlaw Country, CMT is pushing him since he is a staple of the history of MTV back in the 1980s as the keyboardist for the Australian rock band I.N.X.S. This is off his debut solo country album. His songs on the album tells more stories like any classic country songs. Andrew Farris is on a major US label that have a based in Australia. He is part of the BBR music group in Australia.
So Long, So Long by The Darlinghurst is already released to country radio. This band reminds me of a mixed of The Band Perry, Little Big Town and the attitude of Mary Chapin-Carpenter.
Shots by Cass Hopetoun is being pushed by Vevo and Youtube as the new crop of country artists for the US.
Money by the Buckleys is being pushed at radio stations across the world including the US.
No Brakes by The Wolfe Brothers is a label mates of Andrew Farriss and with their American counterparts. This song spent several weeks at number 1. They pushed both Morgan Evans and Brad Cox down out of the number 1 spot area.
Give Me Tonight by Brad Cox is a country rocking song that he is as big as Luke Combs. I don't mean chart wise, but large in body appearence which he is like the Luke Combs of Australia.
Highway Number 1 by Adam Harvey if anybody think they heard this song before? I think it was used in one of the travel commercials here in the US a few years back. Yes, Adam wrote this song and recorded it a few years ago, but was not released on an album until now. He does sound like a classic Johnny Cash.
Give Me A Miss by Oh Harlow which they are more like Avenue Beat from Down Under.
Where I Wanna Be by Lee Kernaghan ft. Robby X which I think he is looking to do a US remixed version with a US singer from the US. He released a small hit in the US around 2006, but was more a Texas hit since he toured the US mostly in Texas. Which artist should he get? Parker McCollum, Randall King, Lauren Aliana, Ashley McBryde, Maddie and Tae, Brett Eldredge? Or who do you think he should get?
