I might be in the minority in regards to this album, but I really think the music drowns out her voice. One example (imo) is Forged in The Fire, which is a good song if not for the music. In fact, only a few songs such as "Looking For A Lighter" and "Small Town Hypocrite" show off her voice.

Haven't commented on this one yet but I absolutely love her and think this is a very solid introduction to a great rising star. The album is a bit back-loaded with many of the best tracks coming later in the sequencing, and there's a few on the album that feel a bit on the filler side for me toward the middle, but it's a strong record. "Small Town Hypocrite" remains immaculate, "Family Tree," "Redhead," and "Just Friends" are all total jams, "Forged in the Fire" and "Meaning Something" are my faves from the previously-unheard material... really enjoy the girl power collaboration on the latter. She's got a fantastic voice and all the makings of being huge in the genre if she could just PLEASE breakout soon. I need her to be successful.

I feel like Just Friends and Redhead are best two songs here. The more rock leaning production on those two songs suits her voice far better than the more pop tinged tracks that fill the rest of the album. Caylee herself is incredibly likable and clearly and incredible vocalist. and lyrically there are a lot of nice moments here but I'm not much into the sound of this album for the most part

Ok after listening to it a lot the last two weeks I like the album a lot, it shows amazing potential in her talent despite some flaws in the overall album. I think the production is a little loud in some places and the album could've dropped a song or two to tighten up the sound. Still really enjoy everything here and am hoping she can stick around and score some hits, I think she's got a good point of view to offer the genre.
My rankings 01. Small Town Hypocrite 02. Redhead 03. Looking For A Lighter 04. Just Like You 05. Family Tree 06. Just Friends 07. Preciatcha 08. Mean Something 09. Forged In The Fire 10. New Level Of Life 11. Sister 12. Gold 13. King Size Bed
