On the Rocks is Sofia Coppola's next film right? I still need to watch Lost in Translation.

It’s not as bubbly as their usual sound, but I could see it growing on me. Doesn’t feel like a huge hit or anything though.

On the Rocks is Sofia Coppola's next film right? I still need to watch Lost in Translation. Yes! I just watched the trailer and it seems like it'll be a great movie. Apparently Phoenix is behind the entire score of the film. I like this! I agree that it's a bit more subdued than I was expecting, but it's very pleasant. It's almost impossible to connect the musical dots between this and masterpieces like "1901" or "Listzomania," but it's a good song nonetheless.

Since I read the comments before listening to it, this was actually *more* upbeat than I expected. It's not as poppy as something like "Trying To Be Cool" or "J-Boy", but it's still energetic and melodic. I like it anyhow.

Not bad. Not as immediate for as "Ti'Amo", but for starters I'm digging the percussion, but it could use more variation in melody.

This came on the radio today, it's nice as per usual with their other singles.

This is a step up for me in comparison to their material on "Ti Amo" as a mostly found it kind of dull and unimpressive. This is nice to have more upbeat sound, which is what drew me to them originally with their bigger hits in the past. It doesn't however sound that memorable after one listen. Maybe it'll grow on me a bit more with future listens.

Despite being upbeat, this is extremely monotone and boring to me. I don't even see this going top 20

This is really strong...and also not what I was expecting. A bit gloomier, I think, for a Phoenix song. I like how they emerged out from their Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix sound around 2012/13, showing off solid musicianship in the process and continued to do so into the decade.
We'll see if this cracks the alt. top 20 but at least it looks like it'll do quite well on AAA, which is surprising to me in that I don't know if I consider this AAA melodically. But it's Phoenix and this band need to do well somewhere...hopefully multiple places.

Officially outpeaks J-Boy on AAA. Feels weird, though I'm a fan of both.
