If there is one thing 2020 has really shown me is how Morgan Wallen is as a person, and it makes it so hard to root for him. Between this ignorant statement, the public intoxication/disorderly conduct charges in May of this year, not to mention the SNL garbage with him, just such a bad look that the country music industry just refuses to acknowledge or condemn beyond just "everyone makes a mistake").
Also he had no problem when our current president had super spreading rallies all of the last month. Hypocrites all of them.

Another showcase of immaturity by Morgan Wallen for sure. But what I don't get is how Wallen is getting all the heat for this and no one is talking about the silent imbecile of FGL, who said something WAY more stupid.

Probably because he's the most recognizable name at the moment (I'm willing to bet a lot of people wouldn't know Brian Kelley by name outside of FGL) and the stuff in Alabama last month already left him on thin ice at best with a lot of people.

Bleh, I was becoming a big fan of Morgan but his actions have been a major turn-off. He needs to grow up.

And, maybe they could have concerts if the President I assume they support would have taken this pandemic more seriously. They are missing a very key point right there...

Can we go back and talk about the music video? And I'm about to be a terrible person. LOL {Spoiler}I just couldn't get past the lip work on the lead actress. Fully admitting to laughing when I saw her. WHY do chicks do that?

I got a good laugh listening to the radio this morning when a listener called into my local station saying "Whiskey Glasses" was Morgan Wallen's first #1 (it's "Up Down"). Also this song ("7 Summers") is the Entercom Radio Song of The Week. I have to imagine the album release is the main reason, but this should give this song the boost needed to get into the Top 20 as I feel like this song has not been moving much since "More Than My Hometown" peaked.

No one seems to be talking about this album at all, but I think I'm gonna pick it up today. Based on clips, it sounds remarkably consistent for a 30-track country album!

7 Summers of Coke was robbed of a Grammy nom, esp. if The Box by Roddy Rich got nominated.

Enters the Mediabase Top 20 at #16 gaining 628 spins and over 4 million in audience this week also gaining 6 spots. Top 20 conversions are here and this song finally seems to be taking off like I expected it too once "More Than My Hometown" was done.

Glad this one is kicking it into high gear. It took a few weeks longer for it to get going after radio let go of "Hometown" than I had expected, but I'm happy to see it picking up the pace again. Happy that this one should hit the top of the charts in a couple months so we can move on to single #3 from the new album because man, he has SO many potential smashes on the album and I'm excited to see how this era goes for him because I am anticipating it to be an absolutely massive year for Morgan Wallen.

They’re going to have a TON of options for the next single. “Wasted On You” seems to be connecting the most right now, but I wonder if they’d choose another slower song. If they go uptempo, “Dangerous” is pretty dark catchy and would be a great summertime anthem.

I feel like it's a little underrated just how much radio likes a good short single.. "Hole in the Bottle," for example..

At this rate why not put out another single before "7 Summers" peaks? "Wasted On You" and "Somebody's Problem" are both lighting up sales and streaming. It would be cool to see Wallen push 2 singles at radio again. I'm ready for him to be at Luke Combs level with radio - he burns on me far slower than Luke does.

This song is outstanding. I love the sort of islandy vibe at the start of the song, the overall nostalgic vibe, as well as the soulfulness of the song. About as soulful of a country song as I’ve heard in some time.
The lyrics also flow very well. Lots to love about this song!

I want something a little more upbeat for the next single; what are y'alls picks? I'd say "Dangerous" and "Still Goin Down" would be great upbeat singles while "Somebody's Problem" and "Sand in My Boots" are the obvious ballads off of this.

Wasted on You is this week's Radio.com Country Hit Pick of the Week. Out of all the selections this one makes pretty much no sense since it isn't even a single. Never mind the fact that they have yet to pick a women. Just such bullshit all around.

I hope Somebody's Problem is next. He has so many good options though, so I hope this album can go 6 or 7 singles deep.

“Wasted On You” is one of the songs I really like from his new double album but it is a strange choice to be the Country Hit Pick of the Week.

Kinda cool to see them pick an album cut like that for something a bit unconventional. I am still a bit perturbed that not a single female or female-fronted act has been selected for the promotion though. That's disappointing.
I feel like between it getting some sizable early airplay due to the Radio.com deal and the fact that it blew up as the biggest album cut from the new record (so much so that it already went #1 on the HCS chart), I would be absolutely shocked if "Wasted on You" isn't his next single at country radio. Pretty much everyone is clamoring for that one and it's kinda forced his hand at this point and it would be too good to pass up now.

Pick a damn woman, Radio.com. Female voices won't kill you or your listeners.
It's nice to see a random album track be picked though. I still have yet to hear this song or full album (32 songs for one time is intimidating lol; it was hard for me to sit through Miranda's double album because of the massive length) but I should get on it here soon to have actual thoughts on the album and this "Wasted On You" song.

Radio.com is just their website name (and brand) -- it's really the execs at Entercom who make the picks for their "Country Hit Pick of the Week."
I keep forgetting about it until I see a song shoot up in airplay out of the blue lol.
