I live in the Bay Area and countless times when Iβm driving and flipping stations , itβs playing on 4 or 5 stations simultaneously. Last time I remember that happening was Halsey βWithout youβ. |

Can anybody explain to me by Mood by 24kgoldn and Iann Dorr is not being allowed to chart on R&B/Hip-Hop songs? It's definitely at least adjacent to that genre, and both of those artists have charted there before. I would definitely argue it's more of a Rap song than recent smashes on that chart like "Falling", "Hot Girl Bummer" and "Roxanne" (which was a #1 on that chart I might add). Truly the only "genre" charts that make any only sort of sense are Pop & Rhythmics songs chart bc they are based only on radio play to those specific audiences so Billboard doesn't have to "define" the genre of every song to determine it's eligibility. I can only guess but Billboard seems more strict on what goes as Hip-Hop compared to what goes as R&B. I do not know if you know but this song does appear on 'Hot Rap Songs' but, just like 'Death Bed' and the Hamilton soundtrack, Billboard does not consider it 'Hip-Hop' enough to chart on the mother chart. And Billboard is also a bit strict on what goes on Hot Rap Songs as 'Sunday Best' and 'Come & Go', even though they do have recognizable 'trap' qualities, are not allowed to chart there. And you do make a good point about radio charts. E.g. look at 'Blinding Lights' and 'Say So' showing their 'true' colors by never making the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. |

It's been stable on Spotify save for some minor losses. It's stable on Apple Music/YouTube and it's gaining quite rapidly on radio. I don't see how it's dropping a bit too quickly save for the second-week drop that most high-debut songs experience. And no, a new Drake album won't be coming out tomorrow (it doesn't seem so, at least). |
