Hot Taylor Swift cover? Anyway will this revitalize their career at this point?

Was wondering if “Second Guessing” would get released next, but if this is a strong single it probably makes more sense to move on. Hoping it’s good.

It's catchy, but their protege(Morgan Wallen, HARDY) already do their style better.

I like the instrumentation, but good lord these lyrics are generic.

How do you put this out in 2020 and not be at least a little aware that it's going to read as self-parody?
I mean, it goes down the line checking literally every Bro Country cliche box.

This isn't bad but it's just suuuuper generic. The lyrics are painfully average checkmarks on a list and it just feels like it'll be something that'll come and go with very minimal impact. They really need a home run standout right now to help put them back on top after a few fumbled singles, but I don't see this doing that for them. It might go all the way to the top or close to it by virtue of being inoffensive radio fodder, but this feels like them on auto-pilot and they're currently at a stage where they shouldn't be playing it safe.

I agree with you on the song being generic, but honestly aren’t they just playing with house money at this point? They have two diamond singles in their career and own their publishing/produce their records now. the quality is worse imo even if people didn’t like their old stuff. If you’re saying that they are in danger of becoming irrelevant on radio then I see where you’re coming from ha

People are always so quick to declare their careers dead lol I don’t see this being a big impact single, but it is safe enough for radio. Just lukewarm on this one personally, it’s pleasant but not memorable. A few songs from their recent EP are better IMO, and should have been shelved to release instead of this though.

I was encouraged after "Can't Hide Red" and "Blessings" but now they're back to typical FGL to me. I'd like them a lot better if they did more songs like those, and less songs like these.

Still not in top 10 all-genre iTunes despite already available for a whole day and having radio deal. By comparison, Starting Over hits top 2 all-genre iTunes with album pre-order available.

And...turns out not even a debut in Hot 100 after a full week. Down to below top 50 in country iTunes too.

I will say this song seems probably destined to hit #1 but it is kind of crazy how much FGL has fallen in terms of radio relevancy, as "Simple" fell like a rock once it peaked, "Talk You Out Of It" struggled to a Top 10/15 peak, "Blessings" became their first single to miss the Top 20, and "I Love My Country" like "Simple" just fell so fast once it peaked and was a pretty middle of the road hit and while I do think this song to have a bit more longevity than those 4, it's still a pretty middle of the road hit that is selling about as well as the latest single from Jake Owen who is on the fourth single from his latest album.

If this hits #1 it’ll put them in sole possession of second place all time of #1’s by a duo or group in country airplay history.

Has anybody heard if there is going to be a third single released from Life Rolls On?

Wondering if they are going to release any new singles from the album, because it looks like both of them are focusing on solo projects.

With them on the Chase Rice single I doubt they’re in a rush to get another single out. I also agree with you about them focusing on their solo material. I bet if they announce a tour they’ll send another song to radio.
