WAP should have at least 7 weeks logged at #1 by now, this is ridiculous. The #1 single in the country is #3 because the two songs above it have bundles out the ass and BTS stans somehow have unlimited money.Β And here comes BTS again next week at #1 with Savage Love.... Neither of them have any real bundles, itβs just rabid fans that either donβt realize that chart positions are meaningless to a songβs quality or are on an insane hype train with buying physical (the same people who buys Supreme because they are limited production runs). |

I think banning digital sales is not the solution. If there is demand for the song, it should count towards the Hot 100.
But I still think something needs to be done. A #1 is becoming so easy to achieve nowadays... Sales should be weighed down or streams should be weighed up to accurately reflect what people are actually listening to. There's no way the rabid BTS fans will ever listen to a CD single on a CD player, it's ridiculous.

at this point just ban digital sales or AT LEAST (and more realistically) website sales this should not be happening and billboard is losing itβs credibility every second

Gary's pedanticness here is correct. Both of these statements are true: TROLLZ dropped from #1 to another rank on the Hot 100. Mariah dropped from #1. To me that's two different things, though: a song debuting at #1, more often than not, didn't exist during the previous chart week. (I know, I know, you can get technical about the airplay tracking week). Mariah's drop from #1 to off the Hot 100 entirely is because it had a significant drop in chart points, not because it stopped existing. |

Radio deals and payola are just as bad as mass-buying, but nobody complains about those often illegal practices the same way they do about BTS stans helping their favourite band to fight against the system. Dynamite being the #1 song in the country was historic, and I admire the passion and devotion of the Army.

Also, I removed Billboard's paid/free streaming tiers, downweighted sales, radio and programmed streams and upweighted on-demand streaming. LAST WEEK - OCTOBER 3
