What is the actual definition of a classic? Because I thought it’s supposed to be a song that everyone knows and that the GP continues to listen to for years to come. And I don’t even know a good number of these songs that people are listing... For my definition, I was going more on critical consensus. If I was going by popularity, there would be a lot more crap I'd have to list

The usage of cult in cult classic is different from the actual definition of cult If an artist already has a massive following at the peak of their career, then their work isn't eligible for the status of cult classic. A cult classic is usually for works of art that underperformed, bombed, or were disregarded critically at the time but over the years have gained more admiration. And by the way, something being massively popular doesn't mean they can't be known by people, especially in the age of streaming where you aren't forced to hear everything.

And yeah I probably know 80% of the songs people have been listing and that should be 99-100%

I’m gonna put a bet on it and say Dynamite or WAP will be a bonafide remembered iconic smash. Not on the level as Thank U Next or any of Taylor’s biggest hits but it’ll be remembered

I think Style might end up as a cult classic similar to All Too Well if you can call anything from Taylor a cult classic. Style wasn't as omnipresent as Shake It Off or Blank Space, so I feel like a lot of the general public won't know it. Or maybe some will know it and if you play it they'll be like "oh yeah, I remember that, it's a good song", but if you ask them to list off Taylor songs, they'll probably still come up with Shake It Off, Blank Space and Love Story and forget about Style.
