It seems quite disturbing to me that I had just asked onebuffalo about Mac Davis’ biggest country hit “Hooked On Music” several weeks ago and now he’s tragically left us. Mac compiled 5 top 10 singles in the early 80’s with his biggest hit being the #2 peaking “Hooked On Music” in 1981. He was also known for being a writer of some of Elvis Presley’s big pop hits. Although not a prominent star in country music his music did leave a lasting impression on some past and current country stars. Another figure from country music past has left us too soon. Rest In Peace Mac Davis!

They both passed away just matter of hours of each other. They sang together as well. Kenny Rogers sang Tulsa Turnaround with Helen on her show. Both Helen and Mac left a marked on the music world.
