"If You're Gone," the follow-up to Matchbox Twenty's No.1 hit, "Bent" wound up becoming yet another massive record for Rob Thomas and his mates in 2001. It peaked at No.5 on the Hot 100 and at No.1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. I love the instrumentation and Matt Serletic production on it. It's a classy record. One my favourites from their album, "Mad Season."

I liked it but it was way overplayed at the time... took years for me to want to listen to it voluntarily again. I much prefer "Bent" and "Mad Season" as far as singles from this album.
