It's official: Ava Max is not a one hit wonder. Todd won't be talking about her in 2030.

The biggest differences in #1s between Hot 100 & Canadian Hot 100 (latter chart which began only in 2007): *"Wavin' Flag" peaking #1 on Canadian Hot 100, N/A on Hot 100. "Franchise" (2020) peaking #1 on Hot 100, and #16 on Canadian Hot 100. "More" (2010) peaking #1 on Canadian Hot 100, and #15 on Hot 100. "Lonely" (2020) peaking #1 on Canadian Hot 100, and #14 on Hot 100. "Whatever You Like" (2008) peaking #1 on Hot 100, #12 on Canadian Hot 100. "Give Me All Your Luvin'" (2012) peaking #1 on Canadian Hot 100, and #10 on Hot 100. "Savage" (2020) peaking #1 on Hot 100, and #9 on Canadian Hot 100. "Good Time" (2012) peaking #1 on Canadian Hot 100, and #8 on Hot 100. "Black and Yellow" (2011) peaking #1 on Hot 100, #7 on Canadian Hot 100. "Kiss Kiss" (2007) peaking #1 on Hot 100, #6 on Canadian Hot 100. "Bodak Yellow" (2017) peaking #1 on Hot 100, #6 on Canadian Hot 100. "Harlem Shake" (2013) peaking #1 on Hot 100, #6 on Canadian Hot 100. * = the song wasn't released in both territories. All other #1's have peaked atleast top 5 in both countries. i'm very surprised that most of the mass-buying driven #1s like Trollz and Dynamite went top 5 in Canada, since stans usually only prioritize buying in the United States.

As a Canadian, Wavin Flag was huge up here, inescapable. I'm surprised it never charted in the U.S. but it makes sense now.

The biggest differences in #1s between Hot 100 & Canadian Hot 100 (latter chart which began only in 2007): All other #1's have peaked at least top in both territories + “Truth Hurts” (2019), which peaked at #1 on the Hot 100 and #7 on the Canadian Hot 100

The Outfield and Spencer Davis Group Both Jump in Sales & Streams After Members' Deaths By Kevin Rutherford10/27/2020 Click to copy www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9473909/the-outfield-spencer-davis-group-sales-streams-up-tony-lewis/The Outfield Both Tony Lewis, The Outfield’s frontman, and Spencer Davis died Oct. 19. Following the deaths of two of their integral members, U.S. streams and sales of the catalogs of rock bands The Outfield and Spencer Davis Group rise in the streaming and sales tracking week of Oct. 16-22. In all, streams of The Outfield jump 37% to 2.6 million on-demand clicks, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, following the Oct. 19 death of frontman/bassist Tony Lewis. Additionally, the English rockers’ catalog accrued 3,000 digital song downloads, up 451%. “Your Love,” The Outfield’s lone top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the band’s signature song, leads the way, garnering 1.8 million on-demand streams (3 million in all), a 16% boost. The track also sells 2,000 downloads, up 329%. The latter stat allows the song to re-enter the Rock Digital Song Sales survey at No. 6, the single’s highest appearance there and first since January 2015, when it peaked at No. 27. Following “Your Love,” “All the Love in the World” -- The Outfield’s other top 20 on the Hot 100 (No. 19, August 1986) -- earns 157,000 on-demand streams (up 78%), and “Say It Ain’t So,” which marked The Outfield’s first appearance on a Billboard chart when it peaked at No. 18 on the Mainstream Rock Songs airplay tally in October 1985, grabs 132,000 on-demand streams (up 146%). Meanwhile, Spencer Davis Group sees gains after the band's eponymous leader, guitarist Spencer Davis, also died Oct. 19. Fronted by a teenage Steve Winwood before his departure to form Traffic and, later, a formidable solo career, the group’s streams tally 563,000 on-demand listens in the latest tracking week, a jump of 81%, alongside 1,000 digital downloads, a boost of 431%. “Gimme Some Lovin’,” the band’s first of two Hot 100 top 10s in 1967 (No. 7, February 1967), leads the catalog with 315,000 on-demand steams, up 40%, plus 1,000 downloads, leaping 312%. “I’m a Man,” its other top 10 (No. 10, May 1967), follows with 82,000 on-demand streams (up 40%). Davis died Oct. 19 at age 81 due to complications from pneumonia, while Lewis died the same day at 62, with a cause of death not currently known.

On DemandTW LW 2W WOC TITLE PEAK 14 13 20 13 Mood Swings, Pop Smoke Featuring Lil Tjay 7 15 8 1 3 Runnin, 21 Savage & Metro Boomin 1 16 16 24 9 Dynamite, BTS 417 15 17 17 Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat), Jawsh 685 x Jason Derulo 10 For those who say "Dynamite" 's success and longevity was solely based on mass buying, this proves otherwise. Sure, the sales gave it a boost for more weeks at #1, but it would still be BTS's most successful single regardless. Apart from radio callouts, the GP seems to genuinely enjoy the song (and for good reason! 😊)

Apart from radio callouts, the GP seems to genuinely enjoy the song (and for good reason! 😊) Without all the mass buying, it wouldn't have spent up to 4 weeks in the top 10. Yes, it would have been their most successful single because it wouldn't have crashed like the rest usually do, but it wouldn't have been a "hit" either.

It's a great song and getting huge streaming numbers (#4 on global Spotify right now).
