I am really enjoying this album. It's a shame that they didn't go with "Til There's Nothing Left" at country radio. I love "Classic," but out of the two "Til There's Nothing Left" is definitely the stronger of the two. Cam's major label debut five years ago was a sweet introduction. This album reaffirms that she's here to stay. It feels more mature, less catering to industry expectations and I'm here for it all. "Girl Like Me" is probably my new favorite. Her voice is angelic.
New favorites:
"Like a Movie" "Changes" "Girl Like Me"

What a stunning album. There's not one dud throughout the entire thing, and every song is magnificent. I was particularly struck by "Like A Movie" and "What Goodbye Means," but Lord above, you can't pick a favorite from this album. I'll say that the title track is probably the weakest link here, but even that song is great.
This is a Best Country Album at the 2022 Grammys in my eyes. It's the best album I've heard in 2020 and "Like A Movie" is definitely the best song of 2020 for me. That'll likely be a hit with me for years to come. It might be early to be this bold, but I'd say this is one of the best albums of all time, and definitely of the 21st century. Stellar record all around; it's an A+ from me.

Amazing album. Many of these songs do sound like all time 'classics' melody and lyric wise.

“Happier For You” is incredible. I’ll have to listen to the rest of the album a few more times to form my opinion, but it’s a good offering from Cam! I don’t know if it’s quite at the level of Untamed, though.

When I listened to it the first time, What Goodbye Means and Happier for You are my favorites. I've been reading Changes a lot on social media from Harry Styles' fans because he wrote that song and he did the whistle.

“Like A Movie” sounds like a great Disney song 👌🏽 That's the vibe I got!! Or at least a movie soundtrack song in general. I hope it gets some kind of exposure in that way down the road.

I found Untamed such a mixed bag. High highs, but a lot of quite hokey, cutesy, corny stuff that wasn't nearly worthy of the artist she became. This certainly is, to me at least.

Yeah, this is so good. I actually went in with lowered expectations as I LOVED "Burning House" but thought her debut album was just kinda OK, and do not love 'Classic' but this is really good.
Favorites: The Otherside Happier For You Diane Girl Like Me Like a Movie Redwood Tree
Classic might be my least favorite? I really think I have an issue with Jack Antonoff, I didn't even know he cowrote that song and I didn't like it from the start, just like a lot of what he does to ruin most of Taylor's stuff.

I’m on listen #4, still developing my complete thoughts. I do think it is EXCELLENT! The Otherside, the song is a JAM. Girl Like Me left me in tears on first listen. I’ll post more thoughts later. Definitely album of the year nom worthy!

Classic might be my least favorite? It's mine too – I don't think it's bad, per se, it just still hasn't grabbed me. But goodness, the rest of the album is great. Glad the stellar "Diane" found a home, and "Forgetting You" is right up there with it.

Ok. Girl came thruuuu!!!
Great album. “Girl Like Me” is the perfect closer. From “Redwood Tree” to the former, it’s a great ride. I’m happy we finally have it in our hands, so to speak, and I’m even happier that it’s good. That being said, I wish there was one country banger, and one haunting type of a song, to make it perfect, but it’s still great, nonetheless. I listened with headphones too, and it made the experience better than watching some of the Youtube videos on my tv.
Out of all the tracks, I’d say “Till Theres Nothing Left” is my least favourite. The lalalas are annoying to me now, I played the heck out of it when it came out. I would have kept it a minimum and sprinkled them throughout the song instead of using it as the main hook/sample/whatever it’s called. LoL

I guess I'll be the outlier here and say this album felt like a letdown compared to Untamed for me. :(
"Forgetting You" and "Changes" were really good, but I felt like the rest of the album just didn't do much for me (sans "Diane" because I barely consider that as this era).

Ive had time to sit with the album and listen a few times and I’ve decided it’s my favourite album released this week.
My favs: The Otherside Like A Movie Girl Like Me
Just below: Forgetting You Diane What Goodbye Means Till There’s Nothing Left (The lalalas bug me, but it’s still a great song) Classic Redwood Tree
“Happier For You” screams Sam Smith, I can see why they didn’t keep, it’s nice but not amazing. “Changes” is decent; I like the verses more than the chorus, not a bad track, just not a favorite.

What's anybody's pick for any potential post-Classic singles. I know jury is out on that one's trajectory, but I'm sure they'll work one more song to radio after it, whatever happens.
I'd go for Changes or Forgetting You (I'm sure Like A Movie would be a popular choice).

I think Girl Like Me is a song with the biggest potential and could really connect and have some big moments in performance slots. The Otherside is the most obvious to me though.

I definitely think Girl Like Me has the most potential to seize the big moments in precisely the moments you say (a bit like Rainbow or Tin Man, albeit less impactfully so...) and The Otherside has the most cross-over potential.

Not surprising it debuted pretty low given the lack of a hit, but it's still sad to see the drop-off from Untamed.

I’m ok with top 20 country album debut. It’s weird times, and she also doesn’t have a big hit behind her. “Burning House” was huge, but I don’t feel like she’s a big name in country yet.
Cam has a lot of potential, and I hope she gets some big performance slots. And I think she should tour (once able) with abig act, at least for another tour, while also doing her own tour.
I agree - “Like A Movie” is the best bet, with the perfect promo, it could soar. “The Otherside” is good too, but not sure how Country radio would embrace it.
Side note: her cover of “Girl Crush” with Alicia Keys was everything. Saw it the other day.

I really enjoy this album. Redwood Tree, Forgetting You, Like A Movie, What Goodbye Means and Girl Like Me are amazing, but I like all the songs. Very solid effort and I am hoping she finds success somehow she is too good to be forgotten.

Really disappointed (although not entirely surprised) at that paltry debut. Really hoping something big happens (I still say "Like a Movie" has timeless classic radio hit written all over it) and brings more recognition to the album because it is FAR too great to go unnoticed.
