It is kinda weird seeing that Tommorow x Together (TxT) got so high on the chart when Twice and other much bigger kpop groups with US stores didn't. TxT hasn't charted on the Billboard 200 since their debut last year, which was largely fueled by BTS stans because they are under the same company. TxT also doesn't have that big of a US fanbase. Other groups in their "generation" such as Stray Kids and Ateez are more international leaning. TxT's fanbase are mostly based in Korea and Japan. Maybe they advertised it more?

Did Ms. Swift have more limited-edition CDs released or something? folklore wasn't even in HITS' top 20 projection, yet it finishes at No. 10.
Grande's album also ended up higher. And looks like no record low for No. 1 on Top Album Sales. For the record, what is the current low?
Not a bad showing for Ms. Minogue.

Sold more than Ariana on her second week. Crazy stuff!

Taylor's store began shipping vinyl orders but I believe those were included in the week one total, right? but maybe the vinyl orders placed after October 9 (? this was the rule change date iirc) helped with the sales total?

^Could be. I'm sure her hand hasn't recovered from signing all those CDs prior, so it probably wasn't signed albums.

Four albums with more than 10k in pure sales is better than I expected given the earlier projection.

Hope Laroi can follow the career trajectory of Juice, he seems to be a worthy protégé so far

Republic superstar Ariana Grande earns a second consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50 with Positions. Her sixth studio album earns 82k in week two, giving the House of Lipman its 18th chart-topper of the year.
Labelmate Pop Smoke, whose streaming-dominant album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon (Victor Victor) has yet to leave the Top 5 since release, holds firm at #2. A new mixtape from NAV gives Republic three of the Top 5 albums, as Emergency Tsunami (XO) surfs to #5 in its debut week.
Rising Columbia hip-hop talent The Kid LAROI leaps to #3 with a deluxe digital version of his mixtape, F*ck Love (Savage), which adds seven more tracks to the project. The Aussie native’s project posts 52k.
CMA favorite Luke Combs is locked inside the Top 5 three weeks out from the deluxe add-on to his Album of the Year winner, What You See Is What You Get. The River House/Columbia Nashville set repeats at #4 with 36k.
Big batches of vinyl sales increase Taylor Swift and Machine Gun Kelly’s activity. Swift’s folklore (Republic) re-emerges in the Top 10 with a 56% increase, while MGK jumps to #12 with Tickets to My Downfall (Bad Boy/Interscope).
Streeting this week are albums from Columbia’s AC/DC, Epic’s Future & Lil Uzi Vert, Mercury Nashville’s Chris Stapleton, Def Jam’s 2 Chainz, Decca/Sugar’s Andrea Bocelli and RCA’s Pentatonix.
How are you getting ready for the holidays? We put on our winter weight in May, so everything now is extra credit.

Hopefully, Ariana's numbers on the Billboard 200 are closer to 70K than to 60K.

^The HITS number is 82K, so probably closer to 70K. So there it is, with the vinyls boosting folklore. Will it have another good vinyl week thereafter?

^It is getting a red vinyl Target exclusive next Friday. If I'm not mistaken the normal vinyl version would be available the Friday after that.

folklore seems like the perfect sort of album for vinyl lovers, and Taylor always sells very well during the holidays, not to mention that fans so far seem very willing to purchase the album with over 1 million sold already. I expect we’ll see good sales numbers for folklore for the rest of the year.

Another good selling week should be the one that includes the last Record Store Day which is on Black Friday. Folklore being released to vinyl widely then makes sense.

K-Pop continues to show its dominance in the Western music market; Kylie also pulling in for a #2 showing on TAS.

So Folklore sold enough with just one day of vinyls to go to the top ten? Maybe next week it'll sell enough to remain in the 10-15, and with the release of the Target exclusive vinyls remain there for yet another week. The week of Black Friday her team can release vinyls widely and put Folklore on a discount. After that the general sales boost for all albums during the holidays should provide Folklore good sales till the year ends. Releasing a single with an MV in the meantime could help stabilise it.
