Olivia maybe? 3 locks and Traitor /Favoritr Crime/Brutal might hang on Traitor is definitely getting pushed as the 4th single once either of Deja Vu/Good 4 U start to collapse, so it'll make the cut. The other tracks are probably too low to make a meaningful impact at this point, even if they do make it to 20 weeks.

I still can’t believe that people said that JB was completely over during the Changes era. It was really just a minor setback for what would truly come and actual ‘Justice’ to his hitmaking career would follow after. Holy and Lonely were released so far back it didn’t have to tag along on the recent album, but now he has 4 songs that will make the year end list from Justice alone so yeah it’s clear he can still make waves.

The fact that, despite being at #1 for seven weeks, Butter is not bigger than “good 4 u” in any shape or form makes me laugh. The meaning of a #1 hit had been completely lost. One More Night blocked Gangnam Style from #1. Harlem Shake blocked some songs from more weeks at #1. Some album I don’t remember blocked Blackout from #1 on the Billboard 200. This isn’t a new thing. Do you know that if you take out BOMT and her post-Circus singles, Britney Spears has a worse chart history than 21 Savage or Lil Baby? That’s how bad she was blocked in the 2000s. Saying that the meaning of a #1 hit is completely lost is like saying that politics ruined football/soccer. But those weren't decided by twitter cult fanbases. It was by snobby industry labels which I think all of us just grown accustomed to which is shitty as well. Even though I'd be completely shocked if people in the labels didn't start these campaigns to get songs to 1 by BTS, Ariana, Nicki, etc. They have to be in on it too, I think. But yes the charts have kind of been whack for decades its just being so out in the open exploited rather than behind the scenes like it usually is.

I think Bieber will be the one with most YE entries (5) unless Anyone misses the cut.

Got a question for the ones building Year End Predictions themselves, what platform do you use to input new data every week to make it calculate the results by itself? I mean what are you using to build these?

Got a question for the ones building Year End Predictions themselves, what platform do you use to input new data every week to make it calculate the results by itself? I mean what are you using to build these? I copy the source of the Hot 100 page to Notepad++, strip out a couple of enormous line, add a break character at the end of each field, then copy the results to Excel. Here I reformat it to my format for the all-time chart and do my top 10,000 list.
Then I copy the same new data for the week to a separate spreadsheet containing just the current YTD values, re-set the points and use a pivot table to summarize points including bonus points for weeks at #1, #2 or #3. I sort and format those results into the table you see below.

For the week of July 24, 2021, here's where the current top 100 of the year stands by my estimate: Almost certainly, Mood will be dethroned for the #1 spot of the year next week by Levitating. Good 4 U has already surpassed Butter using this criteria. How has Butter's slippage (pun intended) affected where it might end on the year-end chart? Here's my latest prognostication: EST Year end | Song | Artist | YE Est Pts | 1 | Levitating | Dua Lipa ft. Ouch! With that big drop from #1, Butter is no longer expected to reach the year end top ten. Permission to Dance could get to #22, but I think it too will have a steep drop-off. We'll see next week. Blinding Lights is overestimated, since I'm calculating these numbers based on staying in the top 50, not the top 25, but a top 5 finish for last year's #1 song remains a strong possiblity.

At this point, even Save Your Tears is gonna pass drivers license, good 4 u will be on the verge of breaking in the top 10 quite soon.

I just want to congratulate Good 4 U for spending its 9th week at #1. It’s a great song, and it really deserves to be the longest running #1 of the year. As well as the longest running rock song at #1 that I can think of. And it wouldn’t surprise me if it edges out Drivers License by the year’s end, just going off the great staying power it’s had in comparison to the latter.

At this point it seems our Top 4 will be Levitating, Mood, Save Your Tears and Blinding Lights. What the final song in the Top 5 will be is anyone's guess, I'm assuming drivers license but it's seems to be on it's way out, honestly I feel like if good 4 u sticks around long enough it could potentially edge in at #5.
Both LTDO and Peaches could also find a spot, but they also seem to be on their way out. Top 10 is at least guaranteed for both tracks at this point unless something crazy happens.

Years back, I wrote a quiz on sporcle.com called Three Decades of Hits. I tried to identify every act that had at least one song on the Billboard top 100 of the year in at least three different decades. Checking back on the 2020 year end top 100, I just identified a whole slew of acts that have newly qualified for the quiz. They are Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Drake, Lady Gaga, Black-Eyed Peas, Eminem, and Jason Derulo. Mariah Carey added a fourth decade to her résumé and Taylor Swift is likely to join the list when the 2021 year-end chart is official. Time to update the quiz

Sounds like it.
Won't Pink also newly qualify this year as well for the last 3 decades?

Well, according to the TOTC YE building it is one week from clinching a spot on the YE, and if it lasts longer than that it should be able to comfortably make it.

what's the record for an artist with the most year end entries in a single year? and what's the record for a female artist (assuming that a male artist holds the overall record)?

I can't lock in either of these answers, but for overall, I know Lil Wayne in 2008 and Drake in 2018 both got 8. And for women, my best guess is Ashanti's 2002 when she got 6.

The Beatles had 9 in 1964.

If you include his uncredited feature on Sicko Mode, Drake in 2018 is tied with the Beatles in 1964 for the most YE entries in a single year with 9 each.
And FWIW, if the YEs ran from January to December, then Cardi would have the most, as she appears 10 times on the 2018 Jan.-Dec. YE.

I've been waiting for all the updated predictions but it seems most people are busy this week.

I'm concerned too, it looks like it's one of a dozen or so country songs that will fall just short at this point.
