Seeing the possibility of "Easy on Me" pulling a "Hello" and be on the YE with only a few weeks is a dΓ©jΓ vu for me as the latter is the reason why my interest for following Hot 100 predictions increased even more
Though I don't think "Easy on Me" would get as high as Top 40 like "Hello" did in 2015

Of the songs that have been released this year I know 100% Easy On Me will make it this week or next week (idk what's more likely) but what about Boyz by Jesy Nelson anyone know where that song may debut or if it debuts at all?!?

^One song in the projection that's unlikely to have the same points in the last four weeks is Girls Want Girls and would likely end up just below both songs.

The way The Weeknd will be joining Santana and Usher and Bieber and Gaga and TLC and The Beatles a remarkable elite of artists who managed to have 2/3 songs on the Year-End top 3. π₯
Also, when you come to think of it, the 2000 and 2021 Year-End charts have a few things in common:
- one artist who had an immensely successful (and critically acclaimed) era the year prior has two songs in the top 3 (Santana and The Weeknd) - one of their songs is among the top 5 biggest Billboard hits of all time ("Smooth" and "Blinding Lights") - however, it was a female artist who took the top spot for both years (Faith Hill and Dua Lipa) - both women had their songs only peaking at #2, but showed longevity is key ("Breathe" and "Levitating")
Just some fun little trivia. Guess I should add this post to "Funny Chart Coincidences" as well. π

Easy On Me did debut at #83 on Spotify with 289k and just 4-5 hours of tracking and the music video is already at 28 million so i would say about 40% of that is from the US. If she gets at least a 5 million full day on spotify and stays around that area she could easily get 700+ points per week and if that is the area sheβll stay at, then top 40 is definitely possible to achieve. Not to mention Apple Music playing into the factor this time around as back in the 2015 it was of course just starting up until Drake popularized it with Views later on.

Hereβs hoping that Drunk survives one more week to make the projected YE cutoff. Itβs still bulleted on Mediabase as of todayβs update, so itβs rather unlikely it will be gone immediately next week, but Iβve seen chart runs like these end unexpectedly before.

The Beatles (in 1964) and Justin Bieber (in 2016) would join them as well

β¨ ππ β¨ Groovy Thank you so much for your comments! I had a feeling there were more people who achieved this feat. Can't believe I forgot about Bieber, being the most recent example. Guess it's still baffling to me "Love Yourself" managed to be the top hit of the year - and I really like the song. It's still a remarkable elite regardless.

Real monkey's paw scenario: Todo De Ti gets locked but so does Drinkin' God I know Chase Rice is easy to bully but this is such an obvious win DBTGA is nowhere near bad enough to make this up for debate

If Levitating didn't resurge then SYT would be YE number 1. To me that's crazy it doesn't even feel as big as any of the last YE number 1s like BL, OTR and even God's Plan. I think it's more about its momentum being spread out a lot. single run, video then Super Bowl then Ari remix, great radio and streaming longevity

After a full day, Easy On Me set the Spotify global record for most streams in a day, got over 50 million streams on YouTube, and took the overwhelming top spot for Spotify and Apple Music in the US, with more than double the streams of the next closest songs. And the top spot on iTunes, just for good measure (idk how many sales though). Itβs insane to me I THAT she can even think about pulling off a second Hello

This is the week that determines whether Drunk (AIDWGH) makes the year end or not. Predictions have it avoiding recurrency but you never know with Billboard. If it survives this week it should put it just over the cutoff.

I wonder where Easy On Me will manage to get to. It was released a week before Hello, which managed to get to #35 in 2015 and #7 in 2016. All of Hello's weeks in 2015 were at #1

All of Hello's weeks in 2015 were at #1 Assuming "Easy on Me" gets the same points as "Hello" in the 3 weeks the latter got at #1 in 2015, it will be around the Top 25 (based on the current predictions from both cedric and PositivityMaster48) but "Easy on Me" has an extra week because of a very early debut, so there is a possibility of a Top 20 YE

I don't think Easy On Me will be remotely comparable to Hello I think it'll be like 110k 70k 60k and finish at like #60

But even then, that would probably put it just below #50. Still very impressive for a 4-week run, but nowhere near the utter domination of Hello, which IIRC had enough points to make the YE on its first tracking week alone.

Having a female pop hit (that's not even a #1) as the top hit of the year is absolutely insane. I'm so rooting for "Levitating".
However, my biggest wish for this year is "Happier Than Ever". I couldn't stand to see one of the hte best singles of the decade get caught between years.
EDIT: Not my typo accidentally being the acronym to the song I was talking about.

Tombstone is still looking like the predicted #100. Currently at #93 and it looks like it's gonna be passed by
Beggin Drunk Take My Breath Happier Than Ever (pleeeeease) If I Didn't Love You Knife Talk Easy On Me
We can hope that it gets bounced by Todo De Ti due to margin of error

It really took almost the entire year for Tequila Little Time and Just About Over You to finally debut on the hot 100. Meanwhile, Adele debuts her new song after it was only available for 5 hours. Absolute insanity,

^Also, Freedom was a Highway and Like a Lady have been out more than six months. Coincidentally, all those four songs had either 10 or 11 weeks in Bubbling Under Hot 100.
