Brett Eldredge getting a Christmas hit out of all recent country artists is still funny to me.

Also very interesting, AIWFCIY is only 65k ahead of Brenda Lee in the US... this could get interesting! Is there a streaming platform where Brenda is ahead?

Well, each year Brenda Lee doesn't top the chart over Mariah only extends her incoming record for the longest gap between song release and going to #1

True, that was kind of a generalization on my part. A lot of the actors from that series have been largely forgotten.

Yes, they'll go down in the history as the biggest group / movement from the east but you can't pinpoint their western audience, the manipulation tactics like using proxy/vpn, mass buying makes it impossible. Same goes for many kpop bands. Remember when literally unknown & just formed SuperM (with mini album) beat Summer walker for #1 bb (who btw had the highest streaming week for a female r&b artist ever) even industry pundits where shocked like, where are these audience? But unlike the biggest groups from last ~2 decades, Nsync, Backstreet boys, 1D whose music is still played & is relevant among general audience (even though you aren't a stan of em) i don't see 5yrs or even 2 yrs from now someone asking "Hey, put that Bts record on". I always see people here talking about vpn when talking about BTS but it's something that's very frowned upon on the fandom because with BTS everything they do and achiev is put under magnifying glass (like BB did for BTS No.1 or you guys are doing) so we don't like to give people reason to discredit them. Also, we know the charts really well and we know that vpn streams and sales are filtered so why would we do it? Amyways, I get what you guys are coming from about the sales thing but we need to compensate the lack of industry suport the only way we can, because radio isn't playing them and they are not getting playlist either... Also the situation with SuperM has nothing to do with BTS.

Super legit guys, not a problem with this at all lol. Number one song in the country is barely top 40 in the way a vast majority of people consume music.
Perfect system 👍
Edit - Like I swear I have no problem with sales having weight on the chart, considering people still buy (for some reason) but when a small group of maybe 50k people can just clearly manipulate the charts like this, it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth and billboard is GAGGING for it because they'll never get as many clicks as they do when BTS does literally anything ever.

11 NE Forget You - Glee Cast feat. Gwyneth Paltrow 18 NE Singing In The Rain / Umbrella - Glee Cast feat. Gwyneth Paltrow Feel bad for Gwyneth. From a really prolific actress, to basically a glorified snake oil salesperson. But I still enjoy her Forget You cover.

If you aren't aware, every major media outlets & TV programmers, hell even TIMES, UNO are milking them as fkn stan bait. They're getting promos & airtime like none other artist & they're #12 on radio airplay (that's huge for an artist who's basically non-eng & lacks general audience) & yet you've the audacity to say like they're being blackballed 😂😂

Literally lol. You'd think that that news channels were making anti BTS propaganda pieces on the daily when EVERYONE knows how much the stans live for any mention of them.
It's literally the lack of radio support and that's not even a BTS exclusive thing. It's an "It's not english so we're not gonna play it" thing. And then.... Their english song is actually doing well on radio sooooo

their Korean song which was "officially" promoted by Columbia did great too despite in korean language and not much sales/streaming at the time. they're literally more played than Beyonce since 2016. so..
this is typical cult thing. they gotta create this "we're against "big villain" and face the huge oppression" BS then they get more obsessive and stick together to fight(?). it always works.
