Iβm getting major Lana Doinβ Time vibes from the opening! Something about this reminds me of Lana Del Rey's cover of "Doin Time." Especially the instrumental during the verses. This is okay, I actually really like the verses/pre-chorus/bridge. The chorus sucks though. YES! THANK YOU! I was trying to figure out why the verses were extremely familiar to me. Been trying to get into this, it kinda grew a little on me, but I definitely HATE that sample.

The chorus is a disaster. This is Dua's first misstep for me since "IDGAF"

Growing on me with every listen. Still wish they went with 'If it ain't me' or even 'That kind of woman'.

I honestly thought more people would have issues with the verses rather than the chorus.

Totally on board with this now, the hook takes a few listens but the rhythm of it is super catchy

Dua's cadence on the back half of the verses reminds me at times of LoveFool by The Cardigans.
This isn't as strong as most of her (original) album, but I do find it cute and hope it does well.

I guess we know how the inspiration of the music video came from now.

Look at the girls coming around to this. Within a week they will be singing its praises and ranking it in their top 5 favorite Dua songs. The impact she has. π₯²

This song has been stuck in my head. Part of it sounds a little familiar to another song, but I canβt quite but my finger on what it is. The only issue I have is this doesnβt really fit thematically and sonically with the original album. It sounds like a stand alone single or something off another project.

It honestly is a good change of pace sonically for her and I really enjoy this one more with each listen so I am perfectly fine with it being the single I still am clamoring for Love Again to be a single at some point

As already mentioned the album is quite old now so..."That Kind of Woman" works for me too.

Cool definitely is always a potential summertime pick but my love for Cool dwindled down a bit since album release That Kind of Woman I feel like might struggle since the verses are a little slow, it takes a moment for the song to go off (though once that first chorus is reached the song is gold).

I have very recently started liking Dua Lipa's music. Today I heard this on my way back home and I love it. "We're Good" and "Levitating(featuring DaBaby)" are great current records.

In case you haven't heard her first album, check out "Be The One", "Hotter than Hell", "New Love" and "Begging" if you can :) it's a good album though, you can't go wrong with anything on the deluxe edition.

Video is perfect for this bop, another great visual from Dua. They way I felt for that lobster though... π¦π’ What the hell did I just watched? Lol I did not see that twist coming at the end. Omg Side note: I donβt know why but I donβt like watching lobsters/crabs or any animal being dumped into a pot. And the way the camera would focus on their faces makes it worst. Makes me sad. EDIT: I guess we know how the inspiration of the music video came from now. OMG π such a random thing.
