So I was looking through the year end charts and realized the hot dance/electronic songs page still isn’t working. Do they just not do year end charts for that chart anymore?

So I was looking through the year end charts and realized the hot dance/electronic songs page still isn’t working. Do they just not do year end charts for that chart anymore? it makes no sense, every other list in that genre is working and the songs one is by far the most important one there america has never had a sweet relationship with dance music but i think this is the final nail in the coffin for it

Probably the best thing overall is seeing The Bones in the top 10 of the Hot 100 Year-End while I Hope miss being in it. Second to that, having folklore at #5 in the Year-End Billboard 200 in spite of its relatively late release.

Is the Artist chart still based on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100?

No Global 200 and Global 200 excl. US year-end charts. But, there is a Top Album Sales one even though it only has 10 positions.

^Also, Nicki isn't credited for Say So either but Charlie Puth is for I Hope. Billboard logic It makes sense to me. They use the same rule as on the weekly chart: if there are different versions, the one that got the majority of points is credited. The Bey and Nicki mixes were big for a short while but the original mixes got the most points overall. Similarly the Puth mix really took off on radio and was responsible for the track’s longevity.

Has anyone determined the cutoff date used? Nov 14 or 21? Never mind. I found it.
Billboard’s year-end music recaps represent aggregated metrics for each artist, title, label and music contributor on the weekly charts dated Nov. 23, 2019, through Nov. 14, 2020.

Has anyone determined the cutoff date used? Nov 14 or 21? Pretty sure it was November 23, 2019 - November 14, 2020. The predictions using those dates check out.

How is Post Malone Number 1 Year end artist??? He would’ve been top 3 regardless of any formula, but I saw they decided to include touring in this year also (which really makes no sense). He was able to do dozens of touring dates before the pandemic, even if Weeknd/Roddy were close with Hot 100+Billboard 200 combined performance they weren’t able to tour. Kinda weird to include a metric that was only available for less than half the year but eh. I’m more surprised BTS is only #18. They had a fast selling album released in the tracking year (Map of the Soul 7) and a #1 single (Dynamite). In previous years like 2018 I believe they were less successful with their music but slipped into the top 10 artists due to Social 50 chart. I guess they downweighed that chart this year.

How is Post Malone Number 1 Year end artist??? I also don't feel Post Malone as the number 1 year end artist. We all know his 2019 release (Circles & HB) was the reason while his newer stuffs are just featured songs that never made an impact. I think Rody Ricch or The Weeknd (he was robbed again) deserved the spot.

Plus, hits by Roddy Ricch, Post Malone & BTS reign in year-end streams, radio airplay & sales.
The Weeknd's record-shattering single "Blinding Lights" finishes 2020 as the year's top Billboard Hot 100 song.
Billboard’s year-end music recaps represent aggregated metrics for each artist, title, label and music contributor on the weekly charts dated Nov. 23, 2019, through Nov. 14, 2020. The rankings for Nielsen Music/MRC Data-based year-end recaps reflect equivalent album units, airplay, sales or streaming during the weeks that the titles appeared on a respective chart during the tracking year. Any activity registered before or after a title’s chart run isn’t considered in these rankings. That methodology detail, and the November-November time period, account for some of the difference between these lists and the calendar-year recaps that are independently compiled by Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
SHINING 'LIGHTS'
"Blinding Lights" leads the 2020 Hot 100 Songs recap after it spent four weeks at No. 1, becoming The Weeknd's fifth and most recent leader, on the weekly Hot 100 in April and May. The song has since broken records for the most weeks spent in the top five and the top 10 among all titles in the chart's 62-year history.
The song's '80s vibe is a favorite of The Weeknd's, as he told Billboard in April, "I've always had an admiration for the era before I was born. You can hear as far back as my first mixtape [2011's House of Balloons] that the '80s -- Siouxsie & the Banshees, Cocteau Twins -- play such a huge role in my sound. Sometimes it helps me create a new sound and sometimes it's just obvious. I'm just glad the world's into it now."
The Weeknd boasts his first No. 1 on a year-end Hot 100 Songs survey. He previously ranked in the region in 2015, when his "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" and "The Hills" wrapped at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.
Following on the 2020 Hot 100 Songs recap, Post Malone's "Circles" is the year's No. 2 hit, while Roddy Ricch's "The Box" finishes at No. 3. Rounding out the top five are Dua Lipa's "Don't Start Now" and DaBaby's "Rockstar," featuring Roddy Ricch, at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Harry Styles' "Adore You" ranks at No. 6 on the 2020 Hot 100 Songs list, while Future's "Life Is Good," featuring Drake, is No. 7. Elsewhere in the top 10, Maroon 5's "Memories," Maren Morris' "The Bones" and Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Loved" place at Nos. 8, 9 and 10, respectively.
Notably, Morris' country crossover smash "The Bones" ranks in the Hot 100's year-end top 10 after having not made the weekly top 10, as it peaked at No. 12 in April. The song's longevity benefits it on the year-end recap, as it charted in the top 40 each week from mid-January through September. "The Bones" is the first song to place in the year-end top 10 after falling shy of the weekly top 10 since Paula Cole's "I Don't Want to Wait," which finished at No. 10 for all of 1998; it peaked at No. 11 that January (and, similar to Morris' hit, logged eight consecutive months in the weekly top 40).
RODDY RICCH, POST MALONE & BTS ALSO RULE YEAR-END CHARTS
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, and the year-end Streaming Songs, Radio Songs and Digital Song Sales song recaps each sport distinct 2020 year-end No. 1s.
Roddy Ricch's "The Box" tops the year-end Streaming Songs chart, Post Malone's' "Circles" crowns the Radio Songs recap and BTS' "Dynamite" leads the Digital Song Sales chart.
Each act earns its first year-end No. 1 on each respective ranking. "The Box" led the weekly Streaming Songs chart for 10 weeks, "Circles" topped Radio Songs for 11 weeks and "Dynamite" ruled Digital Song Sales for 10 frames. The tracks paced the Hot 100 for 11, three and three weeks, respectively.
THE WEEKND'S BIG YEAR
The Weeknd additionally dominates the 2020 year-end Hot 100 Artists chart. He achieves his second No. 1 rank, following his win in 2015.
The Weeknd is one of a dozen acts with multiple first-place finishes in the 50 years that Billboard has compiled the year-end Hot 100 Artists recap (dating to the first in 1971). Michael Jackson leads with three titles, in 1972, 1980 and 1983, followed by two each for Gladys Knight & the Pips (1973-74), Madonna (1985, 1987), Janet Jackson (1986, 1990), Mariah Carey (1991, 1996), TLC (1995, 1999), Usher (1998, 2004), Destiny's Child (2000-01), 50 Cent (2003, 2005), Katy Perry (2011, 2014) and Drake (2016, 2018).
Roddy Ricch follows at No. 2 on the 2020 Hot 100 Artists chart, with DaBaby (No. 3), Lil Baby (No. 4) and Dua Lipa (No. 5) rounding out the top five. All four acts earn their highest placements on the annual survey, after landing their highest-charting hits on the weekly Hot 100 during 2020: Roddy Ricch ruled with "The Box" and as featured on DaBaby's seven-week No. 1 "Rockstar," also the latter's highest-peaking hit; Lil Baby reached No. 3 with "The Bigger Picture"; and Dua Lipa rose to No. 2 with "Don't Start Now."

Plus: Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” is the lone album by a woman in the top 10, while Luke Combs waves the flag for country.
Post Malone’s No. 1 smash Hollywood’s Bleeding closes out 2020 as the year’s top album on the year-end Top Billboard 200 Albums chart.
Hollywood’s Bleeding debuted on at No. 1 on the weekly Billboard 200 chart dated Sept. 21, 2019, and spent five weeks at No. 1 during the 2019 chart year. When the 2020 chart year began with the Nov. 23, 2019-dated rankings, Bleeding was still riding high in the top 10 on the weekly Billboard 200 and would continue to rank in the weekly top 15 for the rest of the 52-week 2020 tracking period (through the Nov. 14, 2020-dated chart).
Hollywood’s Bleeding’s sustained chart success over the course of the entire 2020 chart year gave it a distinct advantage over other albums that were released during the 2020 year -- even if they had multiple weeks at No. 1 or lengthy runs in the top 10.
2020 is the fourth consecutive year that Post Malone has placed at least one album among the top 10 on the year-end Billboard 200 Albums chart. In 2019, Beerbongs & Bentleys was No. 5, while Bleeding was No. 9. In 2018, Beerbongs & Bentleys was No. 3 and Stoney was No. 8. And in 2017, Stoney placed at No. 7.
In 2020, Beerbongs & Bentleys finishes at No. 23 on the year-end Billboard 200, while Stoney ranks at No. 45.
Trailing Hollywood’s Bleeding on the year-end Billboard 200 Albums list is Lil Baby’s My Turn at No. 2 and Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial (No. 3). My Turn debuted at No. 1 on the March 14, 2020-dated chart and spent a total of five nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 during the 2020 chart year. Please Excuse Me bowed at No. 1 on the Dec. 21, 2019, chart and notched four nonconsecutive weeks in the penthouse.
With Hollywood’s Bleeding, My Turn and Please Excuse Me at Nos. 1-3, it’s the first time since 2017 that the top three albums on the year-end Billboard 200 chart also charted on the weekly Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Harry Styles’ Fine Line and Taylor Swift’s Folklore round out the top five of the year-end Billboard 200 Albums recap. 2020 marks the third straight year that Swift has landed an album in the year-end top 10.
The Nos. 6-10 titles on the 2020 year-end Billboard 200 Albums chart are, in order, Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake, Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon, The Weeknd’s After Hours, Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die and Luke Combs’ What You See Is What You Get. What You See is the first album to have appeared on Billboard's weekly Top Country Albums chart to rank in the Billboard 200 Albums year-end top 10 since 2016, when Chris Stapleton’s Traveller was No. 7.
With Swift the lone woman among the top 10 year-end Billboard 200 Albums, it’s the first time the top 10 has been so male-driven since 2017, when not a single album credited to a woman (or female-fronted group) was among the top 10.

Fleetwood Mac in three separate charts with work from the 70's. Just speaks to how unpredictable the music scene can get, no matter how formulaic people make it out to be. Amazing.
God, it's fun to be a chart watcher.

Plus: Taylor Swift is top female artist, BTS is top duo/group and Roddy Ricch is top new artist.
For the second year in a row, Post Malone is No. 1 on Billboard’s year-end Top Artists chart -- the first time an act has gone back-to-back as the year’s top artist since Adele in 2011 and 2012. Post Malone is also the first male artist to lead the list in consecutive years since Garth Brooks in 1992 and 1993.
The singer-songwriter-rapper, 25, finishes 2020 as the top artist thanks heavily to the sustained success of his third album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, on the Billboard 200 chart (and the continued chart runs of his two earlier albums, Beerbongs & Bentleys and Stoney), along with eight hits on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart during the 2020 tracking period, including the record-breaking No. 1 hit “Circles.”
The Top Artists and Top New Artists recaps ranks the best-performing overall acts, and new acts, of the year based on activity on the Billboard 200 albums tally, the Billboard Hot 100 songs list, as well as Billboard Boxscore (touring) and the Social 50 chart for the 2020 tracking period.
Post Malone is also the year’s top male artist, while Taylor Swift is the top female artist (No. 9 on the overall Top Artists tally) and BTS is the top duo/group (No. 18 on the overall ranking). Rapper Roddy Ricch (No. 3 overall) leads the 2020 Top New Artists chart.
This is Swift’s fifth go-round as the year’s top female artist (she was also tops in 2018, 2015, 2013 and 2009), while BTS is top duo/group for the first time. The former collected her seventh No. 1 album on the weekly Billboard 200 in 2020 with Folklore and notched her sixth Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with “Cardigan.” Meanwhile, during the 2020 chart year (again, Nov. 23, 2019-Nov. 14, 2020), Korean pop group BTS scored its fourth No. 1 album with Map of the Soul: 7 and claimed its first two No. 1s on the Hot 100 with “Dynamite” and its turn on Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo’s “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat).” BTS is the first non-U.S. act to be the year’s top duo/group since British/Irish boy band One Direction led in both 2015 and 2014.
Post Malone also has the No. 1 album on the year-end Billboard 200 Albums chart, as Hollywood’s Bleeding finishes in first place. He is the first artist since Adele in 2016 to have the top album and also be the top artist of the year. (She managed the feat with her 25 album.)
Hollywood’s Bleeding debuted on at No. 1 on the weekly Billboard 200 chart dated Sept. 21, 2019, and spent five weeks at No. 1 during the 2019 chart year. When the 2020 chart year began with the Nov. 23, 2019-dated rankings, Bleeding was still in the top 10 on the weekly Billboard 200, and would continue to rank in the weekly top 15 for the rest of the 52-week 2020 tracking period (through the Nov. 14, 2020-dated chart). 2020 is the fourth consecutive year that Post Malone has placed at least one album among the top 10 on year-end Billboard 200 Albums chart.
3). It’s the first time since 2017 that the top three albums on the year-end Billboard 200 also charted on the weekly Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Harry Styles’ Fine Line and Taylor Swift’s Folklore round out the top five of the year-end Billboard 200 recap.
Post Malone’s striking success in 2020 was not limited to the Billboard 200, as he also claims the No. 2 title on the year-end Hot 100 Songs chart with “Circles.” Like its parent album Bleeding, “Circles” began its chart life on the Hot 100 late in the 2019 chart year, on the Sept. 14, 2019-dated chart (at No. 7). It then spent the next 38 weeks in a row in the top 10 (including three weeks at No. 1), with 28 of those in the 2020 chart year. For good measure, it added one final week in the top 10 on July 4, 2020, bringing its total top 10 weeks to 39.
Amid this epic top 10 run, “Circles” broke Post Malone’s own then-record for the most weeks in the top 10 when it hit its 34th week in the region. It beat the 33 weeks racked up by “Sunflower,” his co-billed collaboration with Swae Lee.
Ahead of “Circles” on the year-end Hot 100 Songs recap is another record-breaking phenomenon, as The Weeknd lands his first year-end No. 1 with “Blinding Lights.” The track spent four nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 during the 2020 tracking period and logged 38 weeks in the top 10 during the 2020 chart year. (It has since surpassed the top 10 record of “Circles” and is currently at 41 weeks in the region, through the Dec. 5-dated chart.)
The year’s top new artist Roddy Ricch scores the year-end No. 3 title on the Hot 100 Songs chart with “The Box,” while he also places at No. 5 as the featured artist on DaBaby’s “Rockstar.”
Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” is the No. 4 year-end Hot 100 song and also the highest-ranking tune by a female artist. Harry Styles' “Adore You” is No. 6, followed by Future’s “Life Is Good,” featuring Drake, at No. 7; Maroon 5’s “Memories” at No. 8 (the highest-ranked song by a duo/group); Maren Morris’ “The Bones” at No. 9; and Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” at No. 10.
