One of my favorites from the album, the instrumentals are beautiful and kind of remind me of "Safe & Sound". I think this might be slightly better suited for radio play than "cardigan" (the chorus is catchier but the verses are less so than "cardigan" imo) but not expecting that much on that front.

I love this honestly 😍 Reminds me of Invisible String, and I hope this does better on radio than Cardigan. The music video is amazing 😻 Her best since Look What You Made Me Do. I love seeing her being a witch and she looks absolutely stunning as a bride.

Definitely one of my favorites in the album. The video is beautiful - magnificent visuals. I like that it has more beat than cardigan also.

Great video and a good song. Cardigan grew on me so much, while I like this, I hope it does the same.

Best case scenario on radio is another "cardigan" run I think.
I kinda expected a poppier lead this time, but it's ok.

I actually think this is way more poppy than ‘cardigan’.

I actually think this is way more poppy than ‘cardigan’. I actually thought the opposite. Cardigan, while much more folkier than anything on the radio in years, still had a fairly pop-leaning melody as a slower song, while this one instantly reminded me of roaming minstrel music, which I think matches the aesthetic of the music video in the woods. Maybe I need to give a few more listens for it to set in. It didn’t strike me as much as cardigan did though.

I wasn't expecting to love this record but it has such a gorgeous melody that I found it impossible not to. Guitar on top of guitar and that piano riff coupled with her layered vocals. It's pure ear candy.

It's decent. I prefer "cardigan" though.

This is nice. "No body, No crime" would've been my choice as the lead. So juicy.

I think this is poppier than “cardigan” as well, and while the latter is the better “song” this is more catchy, so there is probably a small chance it can get to the teens here.
It’s great in any case! Love the chorus.

The video made me wish she made a video for "I Know Places"
Love this song, it's on par with Cardigan and was the right choice for lead single.

I’m not surprised this is discounted already. I mean, BTS recently released a Dynamite “Holiday” remix and it’s discounted as well. Considering how rapid their fans are, Taylor (and her team) probably wanted to secure their chances of charting well.

To be honest evermore does not have a lot of songs with pop radio potential, the only song I could truly see do something on pop is "long story short". "willow" has one of the poppiest choruses on the album and it was the first track which means highest streams, which is probably why this was the lead. Think that the best it could do is a "Lover" like run, but probably it will perform like "cardigan".

The song and video are really pretty. That 90's trend line is horrific in context of the song though, lol.

I do like this, not one of my favourites on my first few listens like Cardigan was on folklore though.

This really needed harder percussion.

This really needed harder percussion. I agree. If it was gonna be the radio release it needed some production elements to pick up a bit. As it is I like the lyrics for the most part but it doesn't feel like something I'm gonna hear nonstop on the radio, specially since "cardigan" wasn't able to do much better than top 20. Radio is not the focus for this project though.

This really needed harder percussion. Radio is not the focus for this project though. Very true! Kudos to her tapping into the success that 'folklore' enjoyed. Most artists sell singles, some sell albums. The ones that know how to push albums tend to do well for themselves.
