^Just my opinion, but in line with some of the 2nd Dark Era releases (2000-2005). If torn between Hercules and Mulan making top 5, the results turned out correct.

Knowing what the general populace liked, no surprises, not even Mulan--a princess film. Except for what I *hope* is #1, the other 4 are a little over-rated in my Disney scale.

I feel like this one is a bit tough to not like, with the songs and all, but again, it feels like another case of the usual Disney tropes used for a more interesting source material

So the top 5 was exactly what I expected, with Mulan joining the big four films. I was only wrong about Hunchback escaping the bottom five, but it only lasted one rank past it. With all the hate for Hercules posted, I thought it might go out earlier. Glad to be wrong about that. :)

Yeah even though I’ll admit it does not top Aladdin, it still has perhaps my definitive Disney “princess” herself, Fa Mulan. She just has, in my opinion, the best of the princess stories, for its simply who doesn’t seem love or other big riches, but rather someone trying to prove her worth.

with that we are down to the Final Three! All 3 movies have spent time at #1 so anything is possible

Yay @ Mulan at least making it to #4! I knew she wouldn't get any further than that, so I'd call it a win. I'm gonna need an explanation from bboat11 for that last place ranking for Aladdin tho.....

Great top 2. I'm rooting for The Lion King, but either movie would be deserving of the #1!

The Lion King happens to be my favorite movie of all time so to see it come out on top makes me very happy. I really didn't think it would make it for a while there and it wasn't until bboat11 bumped it back to #1 that I thought it might be the #1. It was so close though with each list. I was shocked to see The Little Mermaid do so well, while I love that movie I definitely do not have it in my top favorites. Thank you to everyone for participating in this rankdown! Look for the Experimental Era to come soon!

The Lion King has more depth and the stunning "Circle of Life" opening, but song for song I prefer The Little Mermaid and am also more entertained by it.

All of the top 4 were deserving. Personally, I'm happy Mulan made it higher than Aladdin. Aladdin is great though.
I wish B&tB or TLM had won, but TLK is very deserving, too.

Mulan is just ok to me, but love the rest of the top 5! Great rankdown. Looking forward to the next era.

We all knew who was going to win... LOL @ Mulan and Aladdin getting higher than Queen Pocahontas and King Hercules.

The Lion King winning was so obvious, lol. 😂
I love it, but I love most of this list. This was such a strong lineup. 😍

A movie with 3 non-talking animals MUCH better IMHO than a film with many talking animals. At least Timon and Pumbaa were OK. Film's overrated, that's all. Thanks for this rankdownm, castleoblivion26. Can't wait for the next rankdown!

We all knew who was going to win... The Lion King winning was so obvious, lol. 😂 I'm not entirely sure how the scoring worked, but it looks like it nearly came down to bboat's vote? He had TLK at #1 and TLM at #10. If those are switched, is the end result different?

So if bboat11 had swapped those 2 The Lion King would have had 51 points and The Little Mermaid would have 42 and therefore TLM would have been #1.

More so, there are probably a few participants who, with just a few positions changed for each song, could have ended in a different result. That's a pretty close result IMO.

I guess I could say I'm a little surprised it was close, but The Lion King is the most popular Disney film ever made so it was definitely not surprising to me that it won.

Castle, my rankdowns were ALL OVER THE PLACE wrong for these lol almost every single one way off. Not sure if it'd change any of the results.
I think most of my predictions were spot on when it came to Black Cauldron and The Lion King!
