Bruno. LOVE both though. I only know both by their singles, so currently I give Bruno a slight edge. However, if The Weeknd keeps up their hot streak and Bruno stays as quiet as he has, my vote could change in the future. I'm pretty sure The Weeknd goes by he/him... Bruno, but I'm ready for him to give us a modern tea instead of the usual throwback (which is still great, but time to move on dahling). Yep. Oh, whoops - one of my blonde moments. (I know nothing about The Weeknd except for a few of his hits.) Well, I look forward to seeing what Bruno's cooking up- he'd better not wait too long.

I think The Weeknd takes more risks artistically and with his visuals. All his albums have plenty of variety. The topics he sings about is far more complex and mature. He sings about love, loss, pain, drugs, sex, etc. Like others have said when he does pop, he does borrow elements from MJ and Prince. But when he does the dark R&B stuff, such as “The Hills,” that’s a sound and vibe that only he can pull off.
Bruno on the other hand stays in his lane and hasn’t really done anything that I would say is a bold move. Most of his music is about romance, although i get that appeal. He kind of shifts back and forth between the 80s funk sound and the 90s R&B sound. His last album was amazing, but I need to see what more he can give outside of “Uptown Funk Part 2 and 3.”

Outside of the singles, I have never been able to get into The Weeknd's music so this one's pretty easy Been jamming out to a couple of Starboy deep cuts (Rockin' and False Alarm) all week so this opinion may be changing
