... no. And I'm pretty sure anyone who's mind actually went "completely blank" wouldn't have four paragraphs or even anything further to comment on. Imagine being this upset over someone's completely valid critical comment of Bebe Rexha.

Imagine being so bored that you have to create a narrative that I'm upset for your own entertainment.

No, you seem to misunderstand what others mean when theyโve said โnot having an identity,โ and you are trying to call them out on that basis and it isnโt working. The statement is akin to lacking a proper brand in a marketing context and it makes perfect sense. Itโs okay to learn something new and if you donโt want to admit you were wrong or you misunderstood, you could simply not reply rather than doubling up on your responses.

First off... suggesting that I've learned something new and should only respond if I'm going to admit that I'm wrong or have misunderstood is a lot more condescending than you needed to be in this instance. My issue in my OP was with people saying she has no identity. Not having a clear and consistent brand doesn't somehow take that away from her entirely.

Not every artist can be a superstar. It's that simple.

What you still don't seem to get is that "identity" in this case is literally "no consistent or clear brand." That is the literal and only definition in this context. What you are continuously arguing about is an entirely different definition of "identity" that does not fit in this context or discussion. Of course she has an "identity" as in "an identifying quality," every single person or thing does. But she hasn't established an identity in the second context in the music industry other than "that one chick with the country song," which really isn't an identity, and that's if the person you're talking to even knows what a Bebe Rexha is. Words have multiple meanings and clearly no one is suggesting Bebe Rexha doesn't exist, so it should be painfully obvious what definition of "identity" everyone means and that you are in the wrong here to assume otherwise and any additional arguing against that fact is, in fact, you doubling down instead of just accepting that you misunderstood. Max is correct here and not condescending at all. What you're having here is a Disco moment: failure to admit to a misunderstanding and reaching critical mass tantrum over an incredibly trivial topic.

She already won and she has sultry looks. Mariah knows her.
But one sheโll always remember is the night she found out Mariah Carey was a fan.
โWith โMe, Myself & I,โ the one thing that I can never forget is I did a gala and Mariah Carey was there and I was singing โMe, Myself & Iโ and everybody else was really kind of drunk and she was the only one kind of like singing along with me,โ she tells ABC Radio.
Bebe continues, โAnd at the end she told me that she loved the record and I was like, โWhoa, thatโs Mariah Carey.โโ
