I'd also figure I'd cram in one last ballot update. Starring: Doc Indie Party Rock Beno SHOOTER maine BB🌕 fearlessarrow * The #1 has once remained constant throughout the updates. * We have a new #2. A song has also jumped into the top 10 for the first time. The #100 has remained the same. * Each of the top 20 has at least 1700 points. * Anything below #87 has less than 800 points. * The highest SD has also changed. * After a song got sunk into the bottom 10, it managed to climb out of it again. * 5/20 of the highest SDs are in the top 20, including the top 2 highest SDs. * The bottom 4 SDs are all in the bottom 10. * Ties are located at #2, #13, #49 and #69.

I'm gonna try to send this today I hate to break it to you but you have been blocked from submitting from this RD because of your misogynism. It has shown in many RDs and coming after the alternative rankdown where your bottom 10 had only one song with male vocals, and seeing you generally rank females in the bottom half of various rankdowns, I've had enough of this. It's not funny. I absolutely refuse to believe one can allocate as much females in the bottom 25 of rankdowns, and as such, made this decision. Face the music.

Ok, so I've been informed that at least one poster needs a little more time to submit for this rankdown. Therefore, I will be extending the grace period to Monday (February 1), 5PM Eastern, also because I will not be revealing on Sunday night due to it being Mediabase chart update time, which takes up some time. I will hopefully start reveals on Monday evening. It is preferred you submit as soon as possible, but be as sure as possible with your list before submitting. Tags:

1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? 2. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? This is a cool rankdown that no songs are in bottom 10!

this was really hard to do, some of my low ranks feel wrong lol
1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? there's so many songs that could be guessed here, i guess i'll just go with some i know are well liked - caution, exile, will we talk?, can't fight, kyoto, my own soul's warning, bad decisions, shameika, possibly something like expectations or hero could be more a dark horse entry, mariners or lost in yesterday to repeat are also fair shouts, hopefully circle the drain but i haven't seen as much love for that one around here preferably there'd be less alt repeats but i kinda doubt it
2. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? (i'm going to assume this question is meant to be asking about the bottom 10 lol) honestly i'm guessing some of the alt entries that did a bit better there have a chance to slip down into the bottom ten here lay your head on me, beck, green day, don't let me down, michael franti seem like they'd end up around here
3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)? fiona i imagine will have a fairly hefty sd
4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? not really sure about this, maybe sam fender or something
5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? probably my 10? i could see it going out at around 35-31
6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? pretty sure this will be my 92, i don't expect it to go too far though, maybe in the 80s to 70s
7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Hell n Back, Lost in Yesterday, And It's Still Alright, Bad Decisions, Don't Let Me Down, Honeybee, July, Orphans, Fire, Love You for a Long Time bad decisions lost in yesterday (these top 2 are pretty interchangeable) hell n back fire orphans love you for a long time july (although i'd like to see it a bit higher) honeybee and it's still alright don't let me down
8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: "Tell the Truth" or "Victory" - Black Pumas: "Colors" or "Fire" - Devon Gilfillian: "The Good Life" or "Unchained" - Illiterate Light: "Better Than I Used To" or "Sometimes Love Takes so Long" - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" or "Dreamsicle" - Leon Bridges: "July" or "Texas Sun" - The Lone Bellow: "Count on Me" or "Good Times" - The Lumineers: "Life in the City" or "Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: "One Day She's Here" or "The Well" - Michael Kiwanuka: "Hero" or "Rolling" - Nathaniel Rateliff: "And It's Still Alright" or "Time Stands" - Pearl Jam: "Dance of the Clairvoyants" or "Retrograde" - Pretenders: "The Buzz" or "Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" - Sylvan Esso: "Dark Days", "Ferris Wheel" or "Paper Cup" - Tame Impala: "Lost in Yesterday" or "Is It True" 9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones?
10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? wouldn't be surprised to see the killers not do quite as well here but still probably double up in the top 10, i think in general most of the alt songs will be degraded due to the quality of this list compared to that one
11. Any other predictions or comments? my top 2 better make the top 10

1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? Strong list. Safe shots are probably Kyoto and Shameika. Shangri-La dark horse maybe? 2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10? Hometown Heroes, Oh Yeah!, Lay Your Head On Me, I Got You, Don’t Let Me Down 3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)? Ferris Wheel seems like a song people either like or don’t like. 4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? Kyoto doesn’t seem like a song many people would hate. 5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? My #8 will probably go out in the 30s. 6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? My #91 could probably skid into the 60s under the right conditions. 7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: I don’t really feel like doing the whole thing but Bad Decisions will most likely perform the best and the Major Lazer/Marcus Mumford thing will perform the worst. 8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: "Victory" - Black Pumas: "Colors" - Devon Gilfillian: "Unchained" - Illiterate Light: "Better Than I Used To" - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" - Leon Bridges: "Texas Sun" - The Lone Bellow: "Count on Me" - The Lumineers: "Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: "The Well" - Michael Kiwanuka: "Hero" - Nathaniel Rateliff: "Time Stands" - Pearl Jam: "Dance of the Clairvoyants" - Pretenders: "Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" - Sylvan Esso: "Paper Cup" - Tame Impala: "Lost in Yesterday" 9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Pretenders 10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? I can see most of them doing worse simply because this list is higher quality than 2020.

1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? Shameika (should win), Mariners Apartment Complex, Colors, Caution (please don't though), Lost In Yesterday, Fire, Love You for a Long Time, Circle the Drain, Kyoto (probably will win since it won STM), Exile
2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10? I Got You (should be last), Don't Let Me Down, Lay Your Head on Me, Oh Yeah!, Hometown Heroes, Hollywood (hope don't though), Time Stands, July, Giants
3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)? Sunflower
4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? Black Madonna?
5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? My #8 at top 60. I love this artist so much but I feel Pulse isn't too keen on her.
6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? My #91 at Top 70. It's just a boring song rather than bad but this list has so many songs better than it.
7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Best: Lost in Yesterday Worst: Don't Let Me Down
8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: "Tell the Truth" or "Victory" Uh oh. - Black Pumas: "Colors" or "Fire" - Devon Gilfillian: "The Good Life" or "Unchained" Should be close. - Illiterate Light: "Better Than I Used To" or "Sometimes Love Takes so Long" Should be close. *2 - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" or "Dreamsicle" Oh no. - Leon Bridges: "July" or "Texas Sun" Please. - The Lone Bellow: "Count on Me" or "Good Times" Should also be close but oh no (again) - The Lumineers: "Life in the City" or "Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: "One Day She's Here" or "The Well" Could go either way. - Michael Kiwanuka: "Hero" or "Rolling" - Nathaniel Rateliff: "And It's Still Alright" or "Time Stands" Could go either way. *2 - Pearl Jam: "Dance of the Clairvoyants" or "Retrograde" Not the result I wanted - Pretenders: "The Buzz" or "Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" - Sylvan Esso: "Dark Days", "Ferris Wheel" or "Paper Cup" Huh - Tame Impala: "Lost in Yesterday" or "Is It True" The only correct way
9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones? Bruce Springsteen definitely will get some tankers. Feel like The Rolling Stones will be least tanked but probably in lower range of rankings. Therefore Pretenders I guess?
10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? The only song that could be upgraded is MAC but it doesn't have a strong chance.
11. Any other predictions or comments? I am really going for bottom closeness after reading the predictions lol

(mostly copied from wrip's survey lol) 1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? - I think that Can't Fight, Caution, Circle The Drain, Shameika, Will We Talk? seem like safe bets for top ten, and Kyoto seems like a very likely contender for #1. I think the competition is a bit tough here especially compared to Alt, so the rest is a bit uncertain. I'm guessing some other options for the top ten will consist of some grouping of Bad Decisions, Colors, Dreamsicle, Exile, Feel You, Lost In Yesterday, Mariners Apartment Complex, My Own Soul's Warning, Running Up That Hill, and just a dark horse guess with Expectations.2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10? - Go Easy, I Got You, Lay Your Head On Me, Oh Yeah! I'd say are locks, not really sure what else though.3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)? - Not sure why but July kind of sounds like it would have a high SD. It's a bit of a different group of rankers the time around but still could see Mariners being high.4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? - Kyoto seems like the safest bet to me.5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? - My #8, probably in the 40s maybe.6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? - #95, not sure when.7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Best: Lost in Yesterday, Worst: Don't Let Me Down8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: " Tell the Truth" or "Victory" - Black Pumas: " Colors" or "Fire" - Devon Gilfillian: "The Good Life" or " Unchained" - Illiterate Light: " Better Than I Used To" or "Sometimes Love Takes so Long" - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" or " Dreamsicle" - Leon Bridges: "July" or " Texas Sun" - The Lone Bellow: " Count on Me" or "Good Times" - The Lumineers: "Life in the City" or " Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: " One Day She's Here" or "The Well" - Michael Kiwanuka: " Hero" or "Rolling" - Nathaniel Rateliff: " And It's Still Alright" or "Time Stands" - Pearl Jam: " Dance of the Clairvoyants" or "Retrograde" - Pretenders: "The Buzz" or " Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" - Sylvan Esso: " Dark Days", "Ferris Wheel" or "Paper Cup" - Tame Impala: " Lost in Yesterday" or "Is It True" 9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones? 10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? - I feel like most of them will end a bit lower than they ended in alt, I wouldn't even be surprised if Bad Decisions missed the top 10 due to that.11. Any other predictions or comments? - Just excited for results

Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones? 10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? No idea at this point but I like the consensus that with such a strong list, alt songs might have trouble outperforming the other RD 11. Any other predictions or comments? It's my first official rankdown and I'm sure I'm going to have some unpopular opinions. But this will be fun.

Quick thoughts on the extras: Persona Non Grata - Not as strong as Mariana Trench, but a solid song. Happy Birthday, Baby - I really like Hiss Golden Messenger, and this one is no exception. Nice groove and melody. I think the new single, "Sanctuary," is stronger, though. Trouble Found Me - It's ok, but kind of forgettable. Mind Eraser - Not sure how I missed this one. Really good song. Worry - I really liked this one. If Mongolian metal can break into the mainstream charts, Mali-based blues rock should be able to make some movement. They'd fit in right alongside Black Keys, IMO Video Game - I'm the opposite of you on this one. I think this is one of his best pure pop songs yet. I also really dig the lyrics on this one. Running Red Lights - I'm digging Interstellar Love more, but this is a solid song. Lonely Heather - Decent retro-rock, but didn't wow me. Cyr - LONG time Smashing Pumpkins fan (had Siamese Dream on cassette tape ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) ), but this one took a while to grow on me. I've typically liked their rock-sound more than their electronica sounds, but the groove has a habit of worming its way into my head. Now it's one of my favorite post-MACHINA songs.

1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? I want to see "Kyoto" and especially "Love You For A Long Time" in this area please and thank you.
2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10? I assume those songs such as "Oh Yeah!" will find their way here.
4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? Certainly "Kyoto" and perhaps "Caution"
5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? I remember "Life In the City" didn't make it nearly as far as I thought or hoped it would in 2020 Alt so I sadly expect that to go first, perhaps around the same area?
6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? Honestly don't know, any one of them could go anywhere I feel like
7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Worst in Red, Best in Green Hell n Back, Lost in Yesterday, And It's Still Alright, Bad Decisions, Don't Let Me Down, Honeybee, July, Orphans, Fire, Love You for a Long Time
8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: "Tell the Truth" or "Victory" - Black Pumas: "Colors" or "Fire" - Devon Gilfillian: "The Good Life" or "Unchained" - Illiterate Light: "Better Than I Used To" or "Sometimes Love Takes so Long" - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" or "Dreamsicle" - Leon Bridges: "July" or "Texas Sun" - The Lone Bellow: "Count on Me" or "Good Times" - The Lumineers: "Life in the City" or "Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: "One Day She's Here" or "The Well" - Michael Kiwanuka: "Hero" or "Rolling" - Nathaniel Rateliff: "And It's Still Alright" or "Time Stands" - Pearl Jam: "Dance of the Clairvoyants" or "Retrograde" - Pretenders: "The Buzz" or "Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" - Sylvan Esso: "Dark Days", "Ferris Wheel" or "Paper Cup" - Tame Impala: "Lost in Yesterday" or "Is It True"
9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones?
10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? I have no clue to be honest lol
11. Any other predictions or comments? What an incredible list this was! I'm not exaggerating when I say that I think this list was so strong that I either like, strongly like, or love quite literally everything, even my #100. I imagine though that my rankings will be a mess compared to everyone else so I'm excited to see how things play out!

I mean I don't know what Pulse thinks of these songs! I usually stick around the tractor field lol You joined alternative RD and saw many low ranks for some of those songs there and you still chose that song (and it's from a band that rock forum loves lol) Edit: I looked into that thread again then I know why lol. Still make no sense though.

just sent so I may as well answer most of the survey now
1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10?
most of my guesses have been said already, I think this is "kyoto"'s to lose but after the boring ass 2019 aaa results it wouldn't surprise me to see "caution" win or some shit
2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10?
I'm pretty sure literally every current year aaa rankdown we've done has had the bottom ten mostly consist of the alt crossovers that did the worst on alt, for exclusives I think "I got you" is the only true lock, but "hometown heroes" could have a good chance too
3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)?
probably "hell n back" again for whatever reason it was a high sd last time
5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when?
my top ten is once again Super Basic™ but I could see my #10 go out around the 40s or 30s
6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land?
my 91 or 92, idk how they'll do but I could see either of them going out in the 70s or 60s (although I still didn't really mind them that much so I'm not that invested in seeing them go out super early)
7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Hell n Back, Lost in Yesterday, And It's Still Alright, Bad Decisions, Don't Let Me Down, Honeybee, July, Orphans, Fire, Love You for a Long Time
best - lost in yesterday worst - don't let me down
8. Which song will perform better for these artists with multiple songs: (for simplicity, those pairings already on alt are removed) - The Avett Brothers: "Tell the Truth" or "Victory" - Black Pumas: "Colors" or "Fire" (could go either way) - Devon Gilfillian: "The Good Life" or "Unchained" (could go either way) - Illiterate Light: "Better Than I Used To" or "Sometimes Love Takes so Long" - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: "Be Afraid" or "Dreamsicle" - Leon Bridges: "July" or "Texas Sun" - The Lone Bellow: "Count on Me" or "Good Times" - The Lumineers: "Life in the City" or "Salt and the Sea" - Marcus King: "One Day She's Here" or "The Well" (could go either way) - Michael Kiwanuka: "Hero" or "Rolling" - Nathaniel Rateliff: "And It's Still Alright" or "Time Stands" - Pearl Jam: "Dance of the Clairvoyants" or "Retrograde" - Pretenders: "The Buzz" or "Didn't Want to Be This Lonely" (could go either way) - Sylvan Esso: "Dark Days", "Ferris Wheel" or "Paper Cup" (the other two could go either way) - Tame Impala: "Lost in Yesterday" or "Is It True"
9. Which artist from the 80s RDs will perform the best: Bruce Springsteen, Pretenders or The Rolling Stones?

1. What songs do you expect to be in the top 10? - Caution, Shameika, Lost In Yesterday, Bad Decisions, My Own Soul's Warning, and Kyoto all seem like strong contenders. I'd love to see Hero or Expectations as possible dark horses.
2. What songs do you expect to be in the bottom 10? - Lay Your Head On Me, Go Easy, I Got You, and Oh Yeah are really the only ones that come to mind. I don't see anything else as all that obvious.
3. Which song(s) did people disagree on the most (aka highest standard deviation)? - I honestly have no idea. Hell N Back could be kind of high.
4. Which song(s) were more universally agreed upon (aka lowest standard deviation)? - Probably Caution, Lost In Yesterday, or Kyoto. Not entirely sure but I feel like it'll be a song that's pretty loved.
5. Which song in your top ten do you expect to lose first, and when? - I'm guessing either my #6 or #9, but I think they'll both make the Top 40 at least.
6. Which song in your bottom ten do you expect to go the furthest, and where do you predict it to land? - Idk, my #95? Not sure what the general consensus is on that one.
7. Which songs from the year end top do you expect to do best and worst: Hell n Back, Lost in Yesterday, And It's Still Alright, Bad Decisions, Don't Let Me Down, Honeybee, July, Orphans, Fire, Love You for a Long Time - Best: Lost In Yesterday or Bad Decisions, could go either way - Worst: Don't Let Me Down
- Pretenders? Not entirely sure.
10. What songs will get degraded/upgraded from the alt RDs? - I imagine the songs that performed the worst on alt will do even worse here.
11. Any other predictions or comments? - This is quite a strong list and was very hard to rank. So I already know some of these reveals are gonna hurt.
