8/26/2006 this week for CT40, and at the rate that it's going, if they choose to air a year-end countdown I could see that happening by November where I believe they would do 50 hits of the entire year (which would be 2006).

9/2/2006 is this week's show for CT40 on WSM-AM, by this time Country Aircheck's issues have Mediabase 24/7's country charts (which the first issue came out on August 21). KFYZ this past Wednesday showed 7/12/1986 for their ACC reruns, in which they haven't done a 4-hour show since May of this year.

They're playing 9/9/2006 this week, and they started that one about 10 minutes early before 10 am local time.

Wow, I didn't expect KFYZ to play a Don Bowman show this past Wednesday, but they did featuring 7/26/1975. I guess their library now is 1973 through the 90s though it seems that the 70s/80s 3-hour shows of the Kingsley era seem to air more often.
Meanwhile for CT40 on WSM-AM, it's 9/16/2006 this week, in which they have gone in chronological order in the CT40 series with a few skips, and airing guest hosts when necessary.

A four hour show this week on KFYZ. August 1, 1987 playing.

It's always cool to see 4 hour shows on KFYZ, especially in the 80s when ACC was still vinyl. They played 7/12/1986 a few weeks ago.
Now on to CT40 at hand on WSM-AM and they're playing the hits from the week ending chart of 9/30/2006 (they skipped 9/23).
Edit: Looks like the stream on WSM-AM has changed the way they behave themselves, after a while it stops. Might be a new thing... but on the other hand maybe next week they'll fix the issue

KFYZ by the way cuts out Bob's billboard sponsor as of late when it comes to shows where it's featured like the one from 8/12/1989 that has the 1989 jingle package, where as WSM-AM for the CT40 shows like the one from 10/7/2006 this week (hopefully the online stream doesn't stop this time) keep it in (the cue sheet for the latter also has it at the beginning and the end).

Going with TuneIn on this week's CT40 show from 10/14/2006, as the WSM-AM online stream stops after a while. That's also the case when KFYZ shows an ACC program from the past on Wednesdays, which this past Wednesday was from 8/13/1988 (the same time when Shadoe started doing AT40, though ACC had staying power).

KFYZ went back to the 3-hour shows and chose one from 8/20/1983 this past Wednesday (they were still scoped ad free unlike AT40). I expect a special show this coming Wednesday given Labor Day weekend is coming.
In the meantime WSM-AM is going back to 10/21/2006 this week, at this rate they'll probably get to 2007 come November of this year (which would have to have the voiceover switch from 2006 to 2007 once it comes).

I think it's the first time KFYZ has played a show from 1994. 9/3/94 is playing tonight.

This 1994 show that KFYZ played also ended up being part of ACC Rewind, however the good thing is on this occasion is the first hour is included as well as keeping the jingle bumpers intact, plus it's also in CD quality as opposed to vinyl, making the songs sound better.
WSM-AM like KFYZ is also presenting a regular show, this one this week is a CT40 show from 10/28/2006.

I think Bob started doing teasers about a song/artist coming when going to a commercial break once the show went to 4 hours on 1/11/86, as 3-hour shows so far have no teaser as of yet.
Meanwhile, WSM-AM started the CT40 show about 5 minutes late, though they are featuring the chart from 11/11/2006 (skipping 11/4/2006). Not surprising, since 9/11 and Veterans Day go hand in hand as to when the show aired.

Today, WSM-AM is going with 11/18/2006, this past Wednesday KFYZ went with 9/13/1980, the latter featured certain songs that crossed over to pop radio and made AT40 during that time. Some others did have a minor crossover hit on pop radio, making the Hot 100 or bubbling under it but missing the Top 40.

Can someone tell me if there’s anywhere you can find the ACC year end charts? As far back as I remember Bob used the Billboard charts. I know there was a period where he didn’t but it was like in the late 2000’s until late 2017 when they went back to using Billboard country Airplay chart. The reason I ask is I read somewhere that Ricky Van Shelton’s “I’ll Leave This World Loving You” topped the 1987 ACC year end chart. It was never a year end #1 on Billboard at all. Did he use a different year end chart then?

Between 1990-93 Kingsley used the Billboard chart for rankings. From '78-'89 and from '94-'04 are ACC staff's rankings. From '05-'08 and '17-present are Billboard rankings again. From '09-'16 were Mediabase rankings.

I still had no clue how he got the rankings on some of the year end charts until now.

For the 2nd week in a row, WSM is doing a rerun. Today they're replaying the show from 10/7/06. I think WSM will do reruns until December where they got so far ahead earlier in the year so they can play the December shows in December.

KFYZ is airing 12/2/1978 tonight and this is around the time when promos for year-end countdowns kick in. By this year the year-end show expands to 7 hours, while 1977 was only a 6-hour show (although still in the span of over 2 weeks). It remains unknown if KFYZ will air any year-end ACC shows on Wednesday at the regular time, whether if it's a 1 or 2 week period, or if they will air them at special times. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/12-02-78.pdfI expect we could get new content on WSM by next weekend, though I don't know if they'll air a new CT40 show on Christmas since it falls on a Saturday (although they could do Christmas in America that day)...

One more week of CT40 reruns on WSM with 12/2/06 being the last new show before they went back to be more in line with the calendar date or the date closely aligned with Mediabase 24/7 which should mean a new show next week if all goes well. Not sure if they'll air a regular CT40 show on Christmas Day... they might play all Christmas music by then or feature the a CT40 Christmas In America special as an option.
KFYZ this past Wednesday went with 12/12/1981 and there were promos for the year-end countdown, so if a new CT40 show comes about I expect we'll see the promos kick in during the show.

I'm not sure what's going on but it appears that WSM is going to hold off new shows until maybe the new year, or they might have a limited amount of shows in the can that they just might play 2006 over again next year. I don't know why they can't go past 12/2/2006 at this time... maybe they're thinking about dropping the show or moving it to a new time.
However it's possible that sometimes a segment or segments don't load properly and therefore they have to replace it with an older show of that particular segment like they have done before.
KFYZ however did play 12/17/1983 this past Wednesday, still featuring the 1982 theme/jingle package. That would change by 1984.

It's been a long time since WSM-AM has aired new CT40 shows but they are this week, from 1/13/2007. Hopefully they don't get too far this time around where they skipped a few weeks early in the previous year... charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0113.pdfETA: The WSM-AM announcer still says this week's countdown from 2006... oops

Today WSM is featuring a guest host on CT40, this time with Cody Alan (who recently departed from CMT's After Midnite show), from 1/20/2007. charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/CT40%202007-0120.pdfMeanwhile KFYZ this past Wednesday featured a show from 1/7/1984, which if given the year-end show from 1983 had the 1982 jingle package, this was the first week to feature the new 1984 jingle package at the time and persisted through the very early 4-hour shows. It's possible this coming Wednesday they may feature the very first 4-hour show from 1/11/1986.
