Heard a brief interview with Thomas Rhett this afternoon. "Country Again Side B" was done but he found 6 more songs he's going in to record soon.

We knew Side B was coming, but after hearing Side A, it’s hard to believe we may not get another single from Side A. “More Time Fishin’” and “Where We Grew Up” are smashes waiting to happen. I still think “Growing Up” is too. Excited to hear Side B because I think Side A is his most solid work yet. “Put It On Ice” is the only thing I don’t love and it sounds out of place as a bro-country song on an otherwise more traditional sounding album for Thomas’s standards. I hope the 6 new songs means we get a longer Side B. I feel like even with 11 songs, Side A feels really short. |

^ Very happy to see Gary finally getting to release his next album. I've missed him and I was hoping that this trend of releasing album without a big emphasis on promotion and chart success would allow him to put out a record.

I’m sure Carly and Lori will be incredible like usual, and hey! Maybe Track 6 will actually have tolerable lyrics, seeing as how Lori co-wrote it. I hope she gave him songwriting lessons during the session. Hopefully in those lessons he found his pants. |
