Tbh expected those. If Morgan Wallen did not have that scandal he will definitely be included. The Marfa Tapes also made in mid-year best album lists from Time and Vulture. |

So is the Lady A project considered an album or an EP? Considering it's only seven songs I would say an EP but that article makes it sound otherwise. These short projects have got to stop. Also not a fan of chapters because there is no guarantee there will be another chapter.

About damn time! I was beginning to wonder what the deal was with him not getting a new album out there, especially with him finally getting another bonafide smash hit. He used to be one of my top 3 males in the genre, but those days are sadly over. Still love his voice though and he's usually good for at least a few quality songs here and there, and "Famous Friends" has been a winner for me. I'm not surprised they're capitalizing on its success and naming the album after it, but I do have to say that I don't think it really sounds like a great album title. I do, however, think it would be a killer name for a duet record, like if the entire rest of the tracklist were made up of duets like the title track is, but I know that won't be the case here. Looking forward to hearing what else he's got in store, nonetheless. |

I will say as someone who doesn't buy albums and only listens to music via Spotify/YouTube, I don't mind these shorter EPs/Albums Trend, since I just listen to the project once and then whatever songs stick with me I keep listening too online.

Parker McCollum tweeted his album cover the other day then deleted it after people on Twitter told him he was "selling out" because apparently he doesn't look country here? They were "worried" that he is leaving his Texas sound for Nashville. Album due in July.

Even though I am not really excited about upcoming Dierks Bentley album, his being released in August means album news is coming soon, right? He just announced the Seven Peaks lineup this week, and every interview given recently indicates the album isn't done yet. I don't think August is set in stone, but we'll probably have some idea within the next month. |

Really bummed to see that they didn't include "If That Ain't God." I really have enjoyed that song. Nevertheless, I have higher hopes for this album over his last few.
