Ugh I literally just bought this album three weeks ago. Granted I only paid 5 bucks but still I'm getting really tired of these deluxe albums coming out later instead of dropping them on release day like they used to.

Glad Chase is finally releasing an album. Is this on a different label than he was on before? I know he was in a dark place in his life after his back to back top 10 hits “Take It On Back” and “Little Bit Of You”. I ask because I see they’re not on the album.

Yeah this is a different label. He had not so great things to say about BBR label group recently. Judging by the copyright on iTunes he’s on Green Iris which is also home to Rachel Reinert who was the lead singer of Gloriana.

Odd that he would include "Happy Anywhere" but not "Nobody But You". I kinda expected him to just leave off both and treat "Minimum Wage" like the lead single. I guess maybe NBY just doesn't fit sonically with what he's trying to go for with this album. "Happy Anywhere" and "Minimum Wage" are definitely under a similar sonic umbrella that is totally different from NBY.

Oh okay! I remembered "God's Country" and "Hell Right" were on that one, but thought "Nobody But You" was a little newer. That's probably the best explanation! Glad it's not the one single to go completely album-less :)

He stated in an interview late last year that “Happy Anywhere” was the lead single from his upcoming album. Fully Loaded: God’s Country was released as a greatest hits with the 5 new songs. “Nobody But You” I knew wouldn’t have made this album.

I'm glad Blake is deciding to release albums again. I know it's more unpopular nowadays but I will always be an album's person over just singles.

Body Language just doesn't sound like a title I'd expect from a Blake Shelton album.

Also can that cover artwork be any lazier? I know he usually has pretty mediocre covers, but that one's definitely one of his weakest yet.

I actually think it's a better picture then his Texoma Shore album cover  

I'm glad Jessie Alexander has a few cuts, and there are some writers whose names I don't see over and over again (although of course the usual suspects also have a number of cuts)

And both are better than the If I'm Honest artwork.

Another thing I find odd is he's got such a nice smile that you can see on his debut album but from then on it's never a full smile again, more often it's just a resting face.

Many male mainstream cover artworks are just tragically mediocre. It's yet another department where the women just totally demolish the fellas. Like if you put Blake's or Jason Aldean's set of covers up against someone like Miranda Lambert or Martina McBride or Reba McEntire, it's just no comparison at all.

Not bothered, but covers are a piece of art and some are lazy. None of his are out right bad but they're all blah.

Country tends to have mostly boring album art, with plenty following Blake's lead of just "glamour" shots. Makes me appreciate those who take the time to make good ones.

Look at one of his contemporaries who overall had much more interesting artwork.

Some of the criticism that goes on here is over the top for no reason and that criticism is reserved only for certain artists. I don't think anybody was hating on Blake really, being critical of his output isn't hating on. I do think the bigger the artist the more likely they are going to be critiqued too so this is why someone like Blake, Luke and Jason have had a lot of people picking at their output, they're just more recognizable. Just my two cents.

I mostly lurk here because the Country section of Pulse is legit one of the most toxic there is. And here you are proving my point. And funny you don’t share the way you continued to come at me even after I apologized to you. I don’t keep tabs on you so don’t flatter yourself. I recognized you when you replied to my comment.
