63. Mindreader A Day to Remember
My friends disagree with me, but this sounds exactly like something blink-182 would record. Whether I’m right or wrong, this is a jam, and the lyrics are a lot of fun.

62. Christmas Tree Farm Taylor Swift
This is the second best Christmas song of the decade, and this is a hill I will die on. Taylor captures the holiday spirit perfectly with just the right amount of festive cheesiness and manages to make the song both personal and universal. I will sit here patiently every year until it becomes the classic it deserves to be. “OH BABY BABY, MEEEERRY CHRISTMAS!”
...and yes, of course “Underneath the Tree” is the best Christmas song of the decade, what else?

61. Feel Me Selena Gomez
I don’t think this song is quite as good as it was hyped up to be for years, but that certainly doesn’t mean it isn’t great. It’s pretty generic in terms of lyrics and production, but this has one of the best choruses Selena has ever recorded. Definitely could’ve been a single.

60. A Grave Mistake Ice Nine Kills
This one is based on The Crow (also not really a horror movie, but again, whatever). It was the first single on the album, which was a smart move, because it’s definitely the most accessible. Excellent chorus and vocals.

59. Write It on My Heart Gabby Barrett
Another Gabby album track that gives me major Swift vibes. I don’t think the melody is quite as strong as “Thank God”, but I prefer the vocals and lyrics here. This album is just loaded with potential singles.

58. Drowning Chris Young
I’m a sucker for both remembrance songs and Chris Young’s voice, so this was always gonna be a hit for me. I know a few too many people that passed away in 2020, and this became one of my favorite songs to turn to. It’s way to overproduced, but the song at its core is just gorgeous.

57. Supalonely Benee f/Gus Dapperton
Hands down the best song to blow up from TikTok this year. I love her “Upbeat Eilish” style, the lyrics are a lot of fun, and the song is catchy throughout, even the rap. So glad this became a hit, and I really hope she doesn’t end up a one hit wonder in America.

56. Past Life Trevor Daniel & Selena Gomez
This is soooo much better than “Falling”. The lyrics aren’t awful, the vocals aren’t nearly as cringy, and the chorus is less obnoxious. This isn’t Selena’s best vocal performance, but she’s a nice addition.

55. Killing Me Slowly Bad Wolves
I’ve had trouble finding comments for these Bad Wolves songs, and that holds true here. It’s another jam. That’s all.

54. The Bigger Picture Lil Baby
WOW. Lil Baby embraced his inner Kendrick for this simply masterful take on the racial issues plaguing this country. His perspective is deep, insightful, open-minded, and personal. I’m floored. Everyone should listen to this closely if they haven’t already.

53. Invisible String Taylor Swift
One of the most gorgeous songs Taylor has ever recorded. The simple production works perfectly, her vocals are excellent, and the lyrics are just so goddamn adorable. You can’t help but smile and hope you have your own invisible string.

52. Lady Brett Young
Brett Young continues to knock it out of the park. I love his ability to mix quality lyrics with radio-ready melodies, and this is one of his strongest yet. A beautiful ode to his wife and daughter.

51. We Paid Lil Baby & 42 Dugg
This may not have a fraction of the insight “The Bigger Picture” has, but it retains every bit of masterful flow. From both artists I should add. I don’t usually like “flex” songs, but this is extremely well executed, and that hook is just undeniable. That said, remind me to never get in a car with Lil Baby (2:09 in the video).

49. Footprints on the Moon Gabby Barrett
This is the kind of perseverance song we’ve heard 20,000 times before, but when it works, it works. This is another killer chorus for Gabby and one of her best vocal performances.

48. A Sweeter Place Selena Gomez f/Kid Cudi
This is my favorite song on Rare. I love the lyrics, the chorus, and the production, and it’s a perfect fit for Selena’s vocals. Kid Cudi is always a nice addition as well.

47. I Hope Gabby Barrett
I’ve been hearing this for over a year now and it still sounds great. I know there are some who don’t like her vocals, but I’m not one of them. The chorus is great and the lyrics are memorable. I’m so glad this crossed over in such a big way, but we don’t use the Charlie Puth version.

Okay that’s enough of the Selena-Gabby volley. 46. Comeback JoJo f/Tory Lanez & 30 Roc
So Tory Lanez is a piece of shit, but I can’t retroactively pretend I didn’t like his part here. JoJo remains the most underrated singer in the industry. I love a nice ballad, but when she dives head first into a sex jam, it’s unmatched.

45. Wrong Direction Hailee Steinfeld
What can’t she do? We’ve heard the jams, we’ve seen the award winning performances, and now she sings her heart out in the most soul-crushing ballad I’ve heard all year (and it was also the first, respect for that January 1 release date). Gorgeous vocals and lyrics on top of a nice piano piece. Also, this is totally about Niall, yikes.

44. Nobody But You Blake Shelton f/Gwen Stefani
This is extremely cheesy and the lyrics might be a little bit unhealthy, but dammit it’s cute. Their vocals work so well together, so I don’t mind the constant collaboration. The chorus melody is simply perfect.

43. Lie to Me Tate McRae & Ali Gatie
I really enjoyed “You Broke Me First”, but this made me a fan. She is such a talented singer and dancer, and both are on full display here. Ali Gatie sounds horrendous on his solo chorus, but works as a nice complement to Tate on the final chorus, and his verse is solid. Lyrics and melody are both top notch, and I’d love to see this get a radio release.

42. Mood Ring (By Demand) Britney Spears
So Glory bonus tracks were the absolute last thing I expected to see pop up in 2020, but I’m sure glad they did, because this is fantastic. The drop and the pre-chorus are both excellent, and Britney sounds great.

41. Breaking Me Topic & A7S
This is such a jam. The “ladadada” parts burned quickly, but the melodies of the verses, pre-chorus, and post-chorus are simply infectious.

40. Be Kind Marshmello & Halsey
This is cute. The lyrics are sweet. Halsey sounds good. It’s catchy. The production is generic, but inoffensive. It’s cute. That’s all. And yet it managed to stay in my playlist for half a year, so clearly it worked.

39. Go Crazy Chris Brown & Young Thug
I don’t like that Chris Brown is still a thing, but I’d be lying if I said he doesn’t know how to create a jam. This song is the closest we’ve heard to the late 2000s Chris Brown since probably “New Flame”, and it’s also his best since then. I’ve enjoyed it more and more with each listen for quite a while now. The chorus is just so easy to sing along to, and he sounds great on it.

38. Man JoJo
I could complain about how this should’ve been bigger, but honestly CHR took it further than I expected it to. JoJo continues to impress lyrically on everything she does. That said, this is just a little too melodically similar to Kiana Lede’s “Ex”.

37. Merry Axe-Mas Ice Nine Kills
They’re not done on this list yet. This one is based on Silent Night, Deadly Night. It’s hilarious in a twisted way, and the chorus is extremely catchy. Somehow “Christmas Tree Farm” isn’t the highest Christmas song on this list.

36. Got Me Gabby Barrett f/Shane & Shane
I’m not a religious person, so the lyrics don’t do anything for me, but the song itself is a masterpiece. There’s an intensity to the production that gorgeously climaxes in the bridge, Gabby gives her best vocal performance on the album, and Shane & Shane add a gorgeous touch of harmony. This never got old for me.
