There's a new header banner on their social media, which could imply that new music from them will be announced soon.

God, we have had banger after banger drop in the last 24 hours and now this happens. 2021 is going to be an insane year for Rock/Alt.

Their upcoming sixth album is called Scaled and Icy, which will be out on May 21. As a consequence, the release of the lead single is imminent.

Looks like this will come out tomorrow. They've posted billboards in cities around the world again like they did the day before Jumpsuit came out.
Check the Reddit for more updates if you're interested!

Pure audio bliss. This is going to smash like TOP always does and deservedly so. I could see this tearing up AAA, Hot AC, and pop too.

I like it. It's not as instant as "Jumpsuit" was for me, but I see this growing on me.

Is it possible for an artist to have Alt SOTYs in back to back years? We've had Foo Fighters, Incubus and Imagine Dragons have 2 BB year end songs.. but not back to back.
This will hit #1. That's obvious, but what about this songs longevity.. LOC had the "covid theme" to keep it relevant, this is just them being them, let's hope it works!

Hmm idk how I feel about this after just one listen. The production is quite good, very nice energy to the track, but I think the chorus is just a total flop honestly. Not all that catchy or memorable, the verses build up to it and then it kinda just...happens. Song feels kinda aimless. Maybe it'll end up growing on me, there are elements here I like, but I can't say my first impression here is particularly strong

If it’s as good as “My Blood” and “The Hype” then I’m gonna love it I’m sure!

For any CanCon fans, this kinda reminds me of "Come To Light" by Arkells.. at least the drum part.

They keep getting better, everything they put out I like more and more. This song is awesome and very poppy, maybe they could slip this onto Pop radio

Their hooks are becoming generic. Nothing near the hooks of “Ride” or “Stressed Out”.

This is great! I disliked pretty much everything that came out of Blurryface (especially Ride) but I've liked most of what they've done since!
Hope this does well.

Not their strongest hook, but I’ll go a little on a limb and say it hits #1 on AAA along with ALT. I could see it struggling at CHR, and peaking in the 20’s on HAC. If they truly have star power, it’ll do much better, but they’re competing for the same space with AJR’s Way Less Sad.

I'm getting "Leave Me Alone" vibes from this, which is a good thing in my books. A step up from LOC, which I got tired of quick.

I like this alot, we all know it's going to be an alt hit, I hope it can crossover and be a big pop hit for them.

This guy is sporting more hairdoos Than Matt Healy. Anyway, yeah, this is Indiepop fire. The most important aspect her is that if this goes to #1 and indeed it will then more music like this will start POPing up on the charts.

Big new wave type vibe going off of LOC but maybe a hair better? I think this will at least have a little bit more longevity than Jumpsuit (and outdo LOC on AAA possibly) since it doesn’t have anything too confounding or polarizing for radio. I like it.

While I think Twenty One Pilots are overrated overall, I can completely understand why they have a massively huge fanbase. They make music that is usually very original and distinct in terms of sound. I just can never get past Tyler's vocals in most of their songs. There are a few in their discography that I really love, but mostly I can do without.
This song to me, while doesn't sound original as it follows the newish new wave trend on Alt, totally works for me. I really liked it from the start. Probably because the vocals aren't whiny at all, but it just flows very well and is super catchy. If their new album sounds like this, sign me up to listen to it after I didn't care much for "Trench."

I feel like Phoenix could cover this song (or did Twenty One Pilots cover Phoenix?) Just kidding.
This is solid. I echo AI's sentiment that it doesn't hit you over the top with whiny vocals. I wish these huge bands would incorporate more guitars (even occasional screaming vocals) into *some* of their songs...just for my own personal taste, mostly (and the necessary versatility of sound).
