Oh my goodness! "Save Your Tears" is already up to #48 on Spotify despite Morgan Wallen's album bomb! ❤ Speaking of whom, what a great day for country music. It seems like the transition to crossover into streaming has finally been concluded. It looks like A: Save Your Tears is going to become a legit hit, and B: Country won't go the way of Rock in the streaming era. Two very good things in my book. |

Very interesting to finally see another actress from Disney/Nickelodeon finally gain some musical footing/fanbase. It's been like 5+ years since the last one at this point right?
Olivia would've reached #1 on Apple Music without the Morgan Wallen album bomb, she still might be able to though. Interesting 2021's first 3 #1's on Apple Music may be from an R&B female (SZA), Country male (Morgan), and Pop female (Olivia).

Fun fact: Olivia is actually the 2nd star from Bizaardvark that get a Hot 100 hit. The first one? JAKE. FRICKING. PAUL. |

when was the last time someone’s debut single did this well all across the board in its first day? this is insanely impressive, and even though there was hype, I don’t think ANYONE expected it to be doing any numbers quite like this.

The last time I remember someone's debut single doing great was Look Alive by Blocboy JB but we all know the only reason it did that good was because of Drake so before that, I don't have the slightest idea. |

And the fanbase seems to like the concept that there's a new generation of young musicians and songwriters inspired by Taylor, that's why they give her the buzz there. |

To be fair, I prefer Billie and Olivia as the pop scene's resident Lorde ripoffs to some of the wannabes that blew up in the mid-2010s like Daya, Kiiara, and pre-2020 Halsey. (I'd include Alessia Cara too, but she was generally agreed to be good during her prime, if occasionally a bit bland.) |

We were talking about young artists in the Discord given the rise of The Kid LAROI, Tate McRae, Olivia Rodrigo, as well as other artists born this millennium like Billie Eilish, 24kGoldn, and others.
It actually blew my mind to find out Gabby Barrett is only 20, I legit thought she was in her mid-20s already.

I love how these 2000s born acts are getting hits easier than 90s born acts 10 years. Like in 2010, the only 90s acts I can think of that were relevant were Souljs Boy, Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber but in 2020 we have Billie Eilish, 24KGoldn, Gabby Barrett, Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, Jawsh 685 and we even had Lil Pump for a couple of hits.
