When is the last time 5 female songs were top 10? Without an album bomb causing it. Probably like 2014-2015.

I believe there were a few weeks in a row in 2014 on the Hot 100 when the entire top 7 in fact were by females, when Shake It Off, All About That Bass, Anaconda, and Bang, Bang, etc. were reigning supreme.

I have to say, I love how different these females are from each other style wise. It's not like they're all R&B and trap beats, Ariana, Doja, SZA, Olivia and Dua all with very different songs. love love love to see it!

The biggest crime here is letting Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On" peak so low in the first place.

Because it very frequently isn't the songs at the top of the charts that get remembered the most.

To think Coldplay's "The Scientist" didn't even chart on the Hot 100 back then (since they only blew up in the US with the next single "Clocks"), and now it's widely known as one of their signature songs.

Gives me hope for current singles that happen to underperform.

I'm looking at the AC chart now, and every song in the top 10 has been on the chart for at least 28 weeks. The average time spent on the chart of these 10 songs is over 43 weeks.
