I like the odds of a woman winning this, lol. Really I'd be fine with any of them winning, except Kristin. I "like" all the posts here as a host, but this one was a hard one to do so lol. Shame Kristin ended up being one of a few female singers that you don't like in the entire country music scene (not sure you have any other tbh), as I'm a huge supporter of her music, and I know the awesomeness of her vocal performance at concerts. I kinda understand Double Take wasn't popular because of a bit of screaming, and hoping Karma would do different.

Output is a bit different but I get Drake White vibes from Andrew Hyatt.

Interesting to note Josh Gracin and a Andrew Hyatt both recorded On Me and Me And A Girl And A Radio. Curious if anyone has any thought/preferences on their deliveries.

Didn't know that Josh Gracin also recorded those songs. Interestingly, I prefer Andrew's On Me, but Josh's MGR. As much as I enjoyed Josh Gracin, and I liked him from American Idol Season 3, Andrew's voice is more distinct. For MGR, however, Josh's version has a better production.

Any surprise, guesses, comments on the top 10 and the reveal so far? Umm, yes in fact there is a big surprise... - LBTrocks is the only one with top 5 intact For real tho lol! I'm sure my #2 will be the first of my top 5 to go, likely in part due to .indulgecountry 's befuddling dislike of a certain artist/song he ranked even lower than Tenille Arts.

@lbtrocks I’m surprised you like Karma considering your comments regarding some of the other songs and their pop music leanings! Love Karma so much! Kristin Carter is 2 for 2 so far with me, "Double Take" was my favorite discovery in the other Canadian RD 🌺CountryLineDancer did and I ADORE "Karma" just as much, maybe even more! She's seems to lean towards singing a style of country that I *love*. It's darker and edgy, a bit pop-leaning but also undeniably country IMO. I need to check more out from her. Also, I don't inherently hate all pop leaning country. It depends on the song and artist, for sure. I actually like quite a bit of it tbh. Some stuff loses me... if it's too 'trendy' sounding, I'm out, and snap-clap beats in country music is the QUICKEST way to lose me. Leave that crap in mainstream pop music lol. ETA: Before someone is like, 'but "Karma" has a snap-clap style beat in the verse tooooo' I can handle it if it's not too profound, or if there is a lot more to the instrumentation/melody than just that. Think "Meant To Be" by FGL/Bebe Rexha to get what I mean when I say that I hate snap-clap beats in country...

#10 Eric Ethridge - If You Met Me First
If You Met Me First managed to sneak into the top 10 by 2 points, and this is how LBTrocks cleared all of his bottom half songs!! Leaving Chad Brownlee the only remaining male artist. This lost the top 10 spot with bboat11 's list, but the last list from toomuchboy revived this! Also, I recall countryboy made a comparison between this and Michael Ray, which I found accurate, particularly for this song, considering the mood of the song, but LBTrocks would not agree on that, based on his ranking. He is the husband of a Canadian country singer Kalsey Kulyk. Also, I thought this was a minor hit, but this song has 9M views on YouTube. Makes me wonder if any of y'all know this song? CLD's ThoughtThis is by far the best material by Eric, while I don't really care for his other songs I know. Really strong melody and, man, I love love this sad lyrics! Definitely one of the best lyrics, besides Jersey On The Wall. This somehow reminds me of "Would Have Loved Her" by Chris Bandi. Glad it did well here!

#9 MacKenzie Porter - Seeing Other People
So this song is tying with #8, and per usual, the one with a higher Std is leaving first. The first 4 lists received contained the highest and lowest rankings to this song, interestingly. MacKenzie made it to the top 10 two years in a row!! Also, note that it was counter-chronological to put this song in 2019 and put These Days in 2020 CLD's ThoughtThis song is in my playlist, but I don't love this as much as These Days, which is definitely MacKenzie's best material. I have to be in the right mood to enjoy this, as I found the production/melody of the song have very negative mood. That said, I wish this was promoted in the US, or at least, MacKenzie will try another song in the US, after the collaboration with Dustin Lynch peaks.

Look at us coming into the top 10 with only 2 men, and then losing one of them immediately

Next, losing one of the #1 contenders, and two people will lose their #1s! I know my reveal is going slow as the Mississippi, but will continue tomorrow, unless somebody really wants it now lol
Intermission: Aaron Goodvin - Bars & Churches Peak on the Chart (CAN): #15 Peak on the Chart (Indicator): #45
Intermission: Aaron Pritchett - Good Thing Peak on the Chart (CAN): #33
ccarter1023 ClevelandRox toomuchboy James ;bboat11 🌺CountryLineDancer castleoblivion26 zaclord 🌈 .indulgecountry tim LBTrocks Just sharing two Aarons. Aaron Goodvin's song was promoted in the small market in the US, and I could see this doing not bad here, but considering that he did poorly with the other song + I didn't love this as much, it was replaced by Ryan Langdon. (and he just sent Lonely Drum to the main market and got 1 add ) On the other hand, I love this Aaron Pritchett's jam. It's super catchy and fun, but I just didn't see this doing well here, so it didn't make it to the list.

As for Tenille, I always like her materials, but agree that "Somebody Like That" and "Back Then, Right Now" are much stronger, and I doubt she would have had successful start in the US if she'd tried with Mad Crazy Love Oh, I definitely agree "Mad Crazy Love" is more bland than other material she has. I still liked it more than a lot here though... I figured "Karma," "I Don't Love You," and "Maybe It's Me" would go far though, but one's out already and now I suspect one of the others won't make top 5. Oh, well.

I suspect either Lindsay or Kristin will be out next, and regardless of which one the loss will be devastating to me lol 🤣 Well, the reveal turned out to be devastating, but not to you, to me! #8 Chad Brownlee - Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere
Okay, back to reveal, and losing the last male. ClevelandRox and I lost our #1s here, while .indulgecountry cleared his bottom 5. FGSS is Chad's first and only #1. His RD performance improved by a lot, from Money On You being #27 in the 2018 RD. This song was holding the #1 spot for the first 5 lists. CLD's ThoughtThis song did better than I thought, and happy that ClevelandRox joined me and ranked this as his #1. I love Chad Brownlee in general, but this song is definitely one of my favourite country songs from the late '10s. The chorus melody is just powerful and infectious, and love the short guitar solo following the chorus. I like that there are so many ups and downs within the song. Also, the music video was filmed in my favourite beautiful place Sunshine Coast BC, like 1 hour away from Vancouver by ferry.

Oh! Lol sorry to the host for his loss but I am happy to see this out now lol.
It’s not really a bad song at all! However, and I say this all the time about Chad Brownlee, he has yet to come close to the amazing-ness that is “I Hate You For It” for me lol

#7 Tenille Townes - Jersey On The Wall (I'm Just Asking)
Tenille Townes YE RD History #6 (2020) Come As You Are The most polarizing song is leaving here, and ClevelandRox and I cleared our bottom 5, while castleoblivion26 , .indulgecountry , and zaclord 🌈 lost their top 3 song. This had a slow start, opposite of Chad, this got the low rankings first, and climbed up its way to this position. This is the first top 5 loss for LBTrocks . This would have been easily in the top 5, if it were not for us tankers lol. CLD's ThoughtSetting the karma joke aside, I do like this song a lot. Pretty sure my feeling to this song with #30 ranking is more positive than some other posters' #20 rankings to certain songs. It has the best lyrics of all the song here, if not the best melody. I enjoy Tenille Townes in general, and looking forward to seeing her for the first time when she opens for Brothers Osborne this Oct in Vancouver.

"Jersey" sounds like Ingrid Andress and Cam had a love child and I'm here for it.

Oh wow, seeing Tenille Townes miss the top 5 is a little surprising 'cause I know this is probably her most beloved song! Her voice has yet to wow me, but this song is definitely her best that I have heard so far! I agree that the lyrics packing a huge punch is the main draw of this song.

"Jersey on the Wall" is a pretty exceptionally written song and her voice does sound quite a bit better on it than it does on other songs, so I'm glad that even LBTrocks found a soft spot for it! I think her brand new single, "Girl Who Didn't Care," is actually her best effort yet, too, so I'm excited to see how that does for her!!

#6 Emily Reid - Wine
tim becomes the fourth person to lose #1 here, and James and ccarter1023 cleared their bottom 5. This song got played a lot in my local station, as Emily was originally born in Vancouver Island, but not enough to be on the chart. This performance is a huge improvement from her California King in my Global Country RD. CLD's ThoughtThis is a bop and glad that tim agreed on that! Emily Reid is kinda hit or miss, and so far on Pulse, 1 hit 1 miss. I have 1 more song for the 2018 RD, so looking forward to seeing how she does (my guess: it'll be a hit!). I'm more a beer person than a wine person, but this song is still very enjoyable with fun lyrics and catchy melody. I was worried about this getting tanked, and thus, did not include in the 2020 RD, but LBTrocks pointed out the potential of this song being popular when I posted this on Global Country RD, and he proved to be right.
