Drink About Me is coming up in 2019 RD! What about the second single...? Removed Single 1. Brett Kissel - She Drives Me Crazy Peak: #12 Second single from Now or Never I don't mind this, but removed, as I could see this becoming the #30.

Before we get too much further, I wanted to swing back around to "Legends Never Die". This song was actually my introduction to Orville Peck and I honestly had no idea what to make of him at first. I gave this song a few listens at least, but even in the end I just couldn't find myself to rank it much higher than I did. Fast forward to 🌺CountryLineDancer 's Global Country Rankdown where I happen to then discover Orville's song "Summertime". That song piqued my interest enough for me to finally research just who exactly this guy is as I honestly first thought his voice/act was a bit gimmicky. I've done a complete 180 on him and now I'm HOOKED! I ended up ordering both his first album Pony and also the EP Show Pony on vinyl (which I'm listening to on my turntable as we speak!). Can't wait to see this guy in concert! Anyways...all that to say if I had a do-over I'd for sure rank "Legends Never Die" much higher on my list.

Wow that's great tim! I'm glad you're making discoveries through my RDs! :) (That's my whole goal here. I have been discovering new favs since I started participating in RDs this year, so I'm hoping y'all can find something new through my RDs!) Orville Peck is definitely a unique figure in contemporary Canadian Country music. Even though we may not see him on radio as much, he's a one that I would like to keep my eye on. Summertime is definitely my favorite.

#12 Jess Moskaluke - Country Girls
Total: 162 Average: 14.73 Std Dev: 8.08 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #1 The First Single from The Demos (my fav album of the year)Kanenrá:ke - 4 .indulgecountry - 5 LBTrocks - 5 George Strait Junkie - 12 tim - 12🌺CountryLineDancer - 15 James - 16 ClevelandRox - 19 bboat11 - 23 castleoblivion26 - 23 jamesflame - 28
Losing Saskatchewan Country Pop Queen Here. While Jess has been on the chart regularly since 2012, this is her first #1 hit!! I love her voice, and her new album The Demos is one of my fav albums of the year. She has such a strong voice, and I love most of her singles.
#11, we are losing a face that you have been seeing in Pulse for the last couple of months.

Haha, don't worry bboat11 ! <------ Losing this face
#11 Dallas Smith - Timeless
Total: 159 Average: 14.45 Std Dev: 8.12 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #1Album: 4th single from Timeless🌺CountryLineDancer - 1 tim - 5 ClevelandRox - 8 James - 9 jamesflame - 14 bboat11 - 15 George Strait Junkie - 16 castleoblivion26 - 20 LBTrocks - 21 .indulgecountry - 22 Kanenrá:ke - 28
Another A Lister is leaving! Writers of this song include Tyler Hubbard and Brett Eldredge. This is my absolute favourite due to my personal attachment and such, but overall, did better than I expected. Solid melody, while the lyrics are not so special. I really love Dallas Smith's music style, especially his voice. He was and is a vocalist of a rock band Default as well. He's one of the most successful chart hitter in Canada and recorded 10 consecutive #1s in a row (excluding the duet with Terri). Also, never missed the top 10 in the chart. I believe he was promoted in the US once with Tippin' Point.
I'm gonna take a break, but may continue this evening. Our Top 10
Alee - No One Like You Dean Brody - Canadian Summer Jade Eagleson - Close Lindsay Ell - wAnt Me Back MacKenzie Porter - These Days Sykamore - Record High Tenille Arts - Somebody Like That Tenille Townes - Come As You Are The Reklaws - Where I’m From Tyler Joe Miller - Pillow Talkin’

I have the promo CD single that was issued in the US. His discography is so good, minus that song with Hardy.

recorded 10 consecutive #1s in a row (excluding the duet with Terri). Yeah, what kind of bulls**t is this, Canadian Country Radio!!! Put some RESPECT on the name of your EIGHT TIME CCMA Fans' Choice Award winner/FOUR TIME female artist of the year!!! Can't even give Terri a hit when attached to the Canadian Luke Bryan Edit: It still went to #3 tho, so that was nice. But damn it she deserved another #1!

Jess Moskaluke's "Country Girls" was also a great discovery!! I quite like her voice and melodically this song is so good!
Dallas Smith remains awful to me. I can't think of, or remember, a single thing from him I enjoy. There might be something, but if there is, I forgot about it lol.

J•ss Moskaluk•'s "Country Girls" was also a gr•at discov•ry!! I quit• lik• h•r voic• and m•lodically this song is so good! Dallas Smith r•mains awful to m•. I can't think of, or r•m•mb•r, a singl• thing from him I •njoy. Th•r• might b• som•thing, but if th•r• is, I forgot about it lol. I remember when they tried breaking him in the US and I just couldn’t warm up to his voice. The song that finally got me into Dallas was hearing Somebody Somewhere, which I think was his debut single from 2013 or so but I only first heard it a few years ago. Dustin Lynch co-wrote it. If you haven’t checked that one out, might be worth a shot.

Okay, let's try it again lol Intermission 4: Kalsey Kulyk - Who I Was
Piano Version Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #34 Album: TBA George Strait Junkie ClevelandRox jamesflame James bboat11 🌺CountryLineDancer castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke .indulgecountry tim LBTrocks I kinda regret not including this, as I could see some of y'all liking this. Her vocal is quite stunning in the piano version, while the original version is a bit overproduced and the chorus part has a weird auto-tune sound. Kasey Kulyk is a new figure in Canadian Country Music scene, and her debut album was nominated as "Roots Album of the Year" in CCMA. She is married to Eric Ethridge.
Coming up is #10, 2 people will lose #3!

#10 Dean Brody - Canadian Summer
Total: 154 Average: 14 Std Dev: 8.16 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #1 Album: The second single from "Boys" 🌺CountryLineDancer - 3 bboat11 - 3 James - 6 tim - 11 LBTrocks - 13 .indulgecountry - 15 ClevelandRox - 16 castleoblivion26 - 16 Kanenrá:ke - 18 jamesflame - 24 George Strait Junkie - 29 Losing another A-Lister here. Dean Brody is one of the biggest names in contemporary Canadian country music scene for sure. Along side with Emerson Drive, he is another one that I am thinking of doing the album RDs if there there are interests. Many of his songs are grower for me, and I didn't like this at first, but now, I love this so much. Lyrics, melody, production, mood.... all are great! (especially "ooh howl at the moon" part ). While he had no #1 from his previous album, he has been successful with his current album "Boys." Three #1 hits in a row!!

I don’t dislike this song but I’m shocked it made it to top 10 over some of the other songs! Good for Alee but Madeline Merlo should’ve been in the top 10! 🤷 #isaidwhatisaid

Total: 149 Average: 13.54 Std Dev: 7.699 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #8 4th single from "Jade Eagleson" George Strait Junkie - 2 jamesflame - 5 tim - 6 .indulgecountry - 9 castleoblivion26 - 12 Kanenrá:ke - 14 LBTrocks - 16 ClevelandRox - 18 James - 19 🌺CountryLineDancer - 20 bboat11 - 28
Alongside with Matt Lang and TJ Miller, Jade Eagleson is another new male singer growing popular on the chart. His low-tone voice and traditional instrumental production makes his music quite unique, compared with many pop-influenced country songs that are prevalent in current Canadian country radio. I may be wrong, but I kinda feel like I have seen his name in New and Active on Billboard Country Airplay once...? He definitely has his unique brand, and I can say his career path looks promising. This song has definitely solid instrumental production with strong chorus melody, that almost nobody hated, except for bboat11 .
Side note: "Jade Eagleson" is my favourite name.

"Canadian Summer" seemed pretty generic at first, but by the end of the chorus I was in love with it. It is like perfectly designed to evoke feelings of summertime nostalgia, and Dean's vocal was really good!

#7 The Reklaws - Where I'm From
Total: 145 Average: 13.18 Std Dev: 6.997 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #2 1st single from "Sophomore Slump" tim - 4 bboat11 - 5 ClevelandRox - 7jamesflame - 10 castleoblivion26 - 11 James - 11 LBTrocks - 12 .indulgecountry - 18 George Strait Junkie - 21 🌺CountryLineDancer - 22 Kanenrá:ke - 24 I believe this is the first song without bottom 5 rank. The duo consists of Stuart and Jenna Walker, siblings(Reklaw is the backwards spelling of Walker). Since 2017, they have been one of the regular faces in the chart. One of the most popular groups in the Canadian Country Music scene. Both Jenna and Stuart have distinct voice, while their harmony is impaccable. While Where I'm From is not their best work, chorus melody is quite strong. I love everything about them except for their current single. They are the first country star that I met and greeted.

Are we going to finish this tonight?? That's the plan! #6 Tenille Townes - Come As You Are
Total: 134 Average: 12.18 Std Dev: 8.77 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #4 5th single from "The Lemonade Stand" James - 3 Kanenrá:ke - 3 .indulgecountry - 4 castleoblivion26 - 5 George Strait Junkie - 8 bboat11 - 9 tim - 13 LBTrocks - 18 jamesflame - 20 🌺CountryLineDancer - 24 ClevelandRox - 27 We are losing the first Tenille here. (both Tenille are amazing, don't call her "worse Tenille"!!) This song stayed longer than I thought, especially I know Somebody's Daughter (my best fav my Tenille) did poorly in some RD before + Tenille's voice is not for everyone. This is catchy and fun, but lyrically, not as great as Somebody's Daughter or Jersey On The Wall. I expect her to move on from the album, and hoping she is going to be promoted again in the US. She is another artist that I am thinking of doing an album RD.

I definitely am not a big fan of Tenille Townes' voice, but this song itself is soooo catchy, so I loved it anyway! Would have probably been in my top 5 with a smoother vocalist!

What a stacked top 5!!! Can't believe Sykamore did this well, but I am HERE for it! Here's hoping she can stick around a bit longer and maybe make a run at BotB/RotB! Really though this is probably Tenille Arts' to lose. I'm a little surprised to see MacKenzie Porter still in too. "These Days" wasn't a huge Pulse fave in the New Releases series, much like "Record High". They both must have grown on people through the months!

#5 Tyler Joe Miller - Pillow Talkin'
Total: 131 Average: 11.91 Std Dev: 7.08 Peak on Billboard Canada Country: #1 1st single from "Sometimes I Don't, But Sometimes I Do" ClevelandRox - 3 George Strait Junkie - 4 James - 7 jamesflame - 8 castleoblivion26 - 8 🌺CountryLineDancer - 11 Kanenrá:ke - 11 LBTrocks - 14 .indulgecountry - 19 bboat11 - 22 tim - 24
#5 is one of the newest country singers on the chart, Tyler Joe Miller. This Vancouver boy appeared on the chart from nowhere, and now has such a strong momentum. This is his debut single, and his best song by far to me. Looks like this song worked well for some posters, including ClevelandRox , who mentioned this as the favorite discovery! Great vocal, instrument, and melody, but kinda surprised that this lasted long, considering that no his name is not well-known. Did anyone actually know him before this RD...? Anyways, Tyler Joe Miller, Matt Lang, and Jade Eagleson are the three new male Canadian Country singers to keep an eye on!!!
Edit: Having dinner. Still planning to continue in an hour or so!

Hmm, I may have underranked this. Listening again, this is pretty great! However, I did enjoy most of this list quite a bit, so a #22 doesn't necessarily mean I hated it or anything. Hell, I probably liked it more ranking it at #22 than LBTrocks did ranking it at #14 Glad to see the four women in the top 4 though! I love all of these songs! MacKenzie is probably the weak link at this point, but I won't underestimate the Sykamore tankers either!
