This should be an album rankdown where the songs from deluxe version will perform better than a lot of songs from main version.

1. Which songs are going to be in the top 3 and #1? "Fillin' My Cup," "Dream, Girl," and "Heartland." 2. Which songs are going to be in the bottom 3 and #17? "Janice at the Hotel Bar," "Loose Strings," "The Days." I'll go with "Janice..." at #17. 3. recordyear predicted that many songs from the Deluxe album would outperform the songs from the original album. Which song from the Deluxe album (song #13 to #17) would perform the best/worst? Best: "Fillin' My Cup." Worst: "How to Break a Heart" 4. There was no mainstream radio single from this album, while "Heartland" and "How Far Can It Go" were sent to the secondary market. What songs would you have chosen as three radio singles (including her debut single), had she attempted to find mainstream success with the songs from this album? Interesting question. "Heartland" is the reason I bought her album, so I'll keep that as one of the three. So I'd go with: 1. "The Ride," 2. "Heartland," 3. "Fill My Cup." "Happy People" would also have been a good choice, imo, it gives me the same vibe as some of Maren's early sassy singles. "Dream, Girl" and "Red Wine & Blue" are the only other ones I could see as having single potential. 5. Which song is going to be the most/least polarizing? Least: Probably "Fillin' My Cup." Most: "Dream, Girl" or "How Far Can It Go?"

Eh to the above prediction because that ain't it (at least I hoped so)
1. Which songs are going to be in the top 3 and #1? #1: Fillin' My Cup Other top 3: How Far Can It Go?, Heartland 2. Which songs are going to be in the bottom 3 and #17? #17: Loose Strings Other bottom 3: Red Wine & Blue, The Faker 3. recordyear predicted that many songs from the Deluxe album would outperform the songs from the original album. Which song from the Deluxe album (song #13 to #17) would perform the best/worst? Best: Fillin' My Cup Worst: Glad To Be Here 4. There was no mainstream radio single from this album, while "Heartland" and "How Far Can It Go" were sent to the secondary market. What songs would you have chosen as three radio singles (including her debut single), had she attempted to find mainstream success with the songs from this album? The Days -> Heartland -> Fillin' My Cup I remembered sreaming services pushing The Days back in the days? 5. Which song is going to be the most/least polarizing? Most polarizing: Janice At The Hotel Bar Least polarizing: Fillin' My Cup

#17 "The Faker"
Total: 173 Average: 14.42 Std Dev: 2.91 (3rd Lowest)
CLD's ThoughtAs much as I love Hailey, there are several songs in this album that are completely miss for me. This is unfortunately one of them, while I still would not place this at the bottom. The melody is just so repetitive with no ups and downs. I could at least enjoy some of her vocals due to rather quiet production, and I don't mind this as a background track, but I wouldn't look for this tune.

#16 "Red Wine & Blue"
Total: 167 Average: 13.92 Std Dev: 3.55
CLD's ThoughtWhile toomuchboy mentioned that this could be a radio single, I must say this would be very adventurous choice, given how polarizing it could be. I really dislike how Hailey starts this song, her vocal sounds so lazy and kinda off-key. Because of the start, the entire song has very lazy mood, and I just don't dig the vibe of this tune. Almost opposite vibe of Everything She Ain't...lol

#15 "Loose Strings"
Total: 161 Average: 13.42 Std Dev: 3.23
CLD's ThoughtThis song has a decent verse, but good god, the chorus melody is just terrible to me. That melody of "Staggered Home Alone," part, like it's going down, is such a depressing sound, almost grating. And her vocal doesn't sound good to my ears either. I love Hailey, so sad that I have been making negative comments, but the next one is the last time I would do that in this RD.

#14 "The Devil Always Made Me Think Twice"
Total: 152 Average: 12.67 Std Dev: 4.66 (Highest!)
CLD's ThoughtThis song has solid southern rock production, even though i'm not a big fan of that kind. I also find the lyrics to be not bad. However, after hearing Stapleton's version, I think he did a better job delivering this tune. His voice was more suited to this song/production, and Hailey's vocal was kinda rough here. This one also sounded kinda lazy, like these bottom 4 songs. I cleared 4 songs I did not like from this album with the first 4 reveal, so I'm happy with how things are going. All those 4 songs, I felt like her vocal was kinda lazy and off, almost like Zach Bryan, whom I don't love.

#13 "Happy People"
Total: 143 Average: 11.92 Std Dev: 4.25
CLD's ThoughtI prefer the LBT version of this song, especially the production. This song itself is not bad to me, and I do listen to LBT version here and there. Still, I think this version is a little too poppy, or "fluffy", if that makes sense.

#12 "Glad To Be Here ft. Brent Cobb"
Total: 139 Average: 11.58 Std Dev: 2.6 (2nd Lowest)
CLD's ThoughtThis song is fine, but definitely sounds far less interesting, compared with other fantastic tracks included in the deluxe album. Not keen on Brent Cobb's vocal, either. She could have collaborated with a stronger vocalist, but still, the melody of the track is weaker than the other collab songs.

Damn, look at me killing it on this rankdown with all these perfect ranks! 🥳 I prefer the LBT version of this song, especially the production. This song itself is not bad to me, and I do listen to LBT version here and there. Still, I think this version is a little too poppy, or "fluffy", if that makes sense. Agree with you here. I know it was an unpopular single choice from them and it totally bombed, so in hindsight it was not the right move to make (especially since their momentum hasn't been the same since), but I still love LBT's "Happy People."

#11 "How To Break A Heart" ft. Lori McKenna & Hillary Lindsey
Total: 110 Average: 9.17 Std Dev: 4.43 (2ne Highest)
CLD's ThoughtI'm surprised that this missed the top 10, by 1 point... The lyrics/storytelling is creative, and the unison at the bridge and harmony at the chorus are well-done. I also like nanana part at the end, adding some catchy essence to the song. I'm pausing here tonight, and it's been pretty quiet, so don't forget to throw in more comments/predictions!

Decent start for me as I lost four of my bottom five songs. Of those, both "The Faker" and "Red, Wine & Blue" were instant passes of which I just don't ever revisit. While I did rank "Glad to Be Here" in my bottom 3, it was one of those that I ended up coming back around to more than I thought, so given that I'm not entirely surprised it ended up doing a tad bit better than I expected. On a side note, Hailey Whitters recently opened up for the Josh Abbott Band here in Austin...but, it happened to be the same night as Reba and Terri Clark and y'all know where my allegiance lies given those circumstances . Still hoping to see her live at some point!

The rankdown bottom 5 is my bottom 5 so it is quite nice.
Those bottom 5 songs are mostly ruined by her off-tune vocals. Some of the music styles such as waltz for Red Wine & Blue are inherently boring as well.
Losing my #2 just outside top 10 sucks though. Lori McKenna is such a reliable songwriter.

#10 "Living the Dream"
Total: 107 Average: 8.92 Std Dev: 3.18
CLD's ThoughtWhile I don't love Hailey's vocal on this song, this still has a solid production and melody. I would consider this to be a "good album track song," as I don't think this would be suited as a radio single.

#9 "All the Cool Girls"
Total: 100 Average: 8.33 Std Dev: 4.19
CLD's ThoughtThis song has a nice slight echo production on Hailey's vocal, and I also like a little edgy rock production on chorus, almost something like Madeline Edwards or Lainey Wilson would do. I was not big on the melody though, and hence my #10 ranking.

#8 "The Ride ft. Jordan Davis"
Total: 96 Average: 8 Std Dev: 4.35
CLD's ThoughtThis song is fantastic, and sad that it is missing the top 5. I fell in love with this song back when it was released in January 2021, and it was on repeat for a while. It was almost going to be my #1, but ended up settling at #2 spot. I kinda felt like Jordan Davis joins the vocal at the weird timing, but I got used to it after several listens. The production and melody is ear candy to me, while lyrics are understandably not the strongest, compared with her other materials.

#7 "Dream, Girl"
Total: 87 Average: 7.25 Std Dev: 3.93
CLD's ThoughtI really like the verse melody of this song. The chorus could be a little bit stronger, but I enjoy the overall catchy vibe. I also tried the live version, but I definitely prefer the poppy production in the studio version. Again, I would not have chosen this as a radio single, but it is a pleasant album track.
