"Lipstick" was such a great introduction to this group!!! It has such an infectious energy to it. Yet another one of those songs that is perfect for driving around on summer evenings with the windows down It was a shame that this ended up being left off of the final tracklist of the album. It and "Wild West" would have both been such wonderful additions to the album...

BTW, “Head Over Heels” should’ve easily been a runway hit for this group (no pun intended). I’m still disappointed that it wasn’t.

YAS! I just as easily could’ve put “Head Over Heels” as my #1.

Thanks for hosting 🌺CountryLineDancer ! My top two could’ve gone either way, but “Trouble with This Town” has remained one of my favorite songs by the group for quite some time as it has such a strong melody. “Head Over Heels” was an incredibly close second though and would’ve tied me with my nemesis castleoblivion26 , but it really was just a flip of a coin as to either one.

"Wild West" didn't do much for me at first and took a few listens to grow on me when it was first released, but once it did there was pretty much no chance of anything else being my #1 here. The traditional production was a delightful throwback sound that I was a little disappointed to see them veer away from a little bit for the actual album. (They're still easily one of the more traditional groups out there, but their album is definitely a little less so than they had started out trying to sell themselves as). The fiddles and steel, the harmonies, the imagery of the music video, it was all just completely on point for this song! I love it so much!
"Head Over Heels" is also amazing. If I could rank again, it would be my #3 and I would bump "Blue Roses" down to #4, so it could have been even one point higher. The hook of this chorus is just so delightful! Should have been much bigger on radio than it was...
I am really excited to see what is next from them! I'm sure they're itching to move on to new music now that they have a new member of the trio. Hopefully the next era can help push them to consistent hitmaker status! I have hope for their future despite their spotty success, considering how much better the country industry is for women right now than it was even a year ago. The hype of a lead single could be exactly what they need.

Thank you all for joining! I enjoyed hosting RD for the first time. For this thread, the plan for next RDs are (coming up in monthly basis) "Yours" by Russell Dickerson --> "Frame by Frame" by Cassadee Pope --> Male --> Female .... I will open "Yours" tomorrow for 1 month!I know Dickerson may not sound less exciting, but hope many of you join! (if I receive so many requests to move on to Pope, I will consider it tho) Meanwhile, I am going to set a new deadline for Canadian Country RD soon, so don't miss it!

Meh. The cold opening of Lipstick and western feeling of Wild West are much cooler than Head Over Heels (also namedropping John Wayne as his granddaughter! Not everyone can do it.) Thanks for hosting 🌺CountryLineDancer )

Thanks for hosting 🌺CountryLineDancer and while I'm not a fan of Russell Dickerson I do look forward to ranking his album just to see if there is anything there beyond the singles that I might enjoy. Definitely excited for Cassadee Pope though!

Yayyy! "Head Over Heels" should have been a huge hit. The clever play on words and infectious melody is unmatched by anything on this album! This is such a stellar album though. "Good, Bad & Ugly" and "Fast as You" are the only two that I don't enjoy. Very much looking forward to whatever comes next once they give up on trying to make "We Were Rich" a hit.

I like that pattern of boy-girl-boy-girl with these albums; that should be real interesting

Oui, it’s going to take some liquid courage for me to get through this one. The thought of spinning this album never even crossed my mind lol.

Yassss "Heels" is the correct winner! Hands down the group's best song to date and as obvious a smash hit if I've heard one. Country radio absolutely let that one get away and it's a damn shame. It should've been another big one for them, easily. The hook is infectious and so clever, and the melody is AMAZING. Definitely their best jam.

So Blue Roses is my most played album of all time now haha
I absolutely adored the album and spun it to death! I literally would've been happy with any winner other than "Good, Bad, & Ugly" which is still a good song just easily my least favorite.

Dear God... Thank goodness I never checked out this album before now. For someone who hasn't disliked a single of his yet, most of these album tracks were excruciating.
