1. What is going to be #1/#12? #1. “Carolina” | #12. Dance 2. What is the most/least polarizing? MOST: “Musta Had a Good Time” | LEAST: “Carolina” 3. Would you rank their second album "27861" as well? (I haven't fully checked it, so haven't decided myself) I have never listened to it but I would participate if you did a rankdown for it! 4. Any other thoughts? This album was OK. Some of the stuff I won’t revisit but there were a couple new discoveries that I’ll go back to every now and then.

Ready?🌺CountryLineDancer HeyHeyHey Kanenrá:ke dgarcia3377 castleoblivion26 tim ClevelandRox bboat11 Kris Kringle LBTrocksManaged to get 10 participants. Same number of participants as Dickerson RD, and hoping to get more for next male series, as I'm starting the artist series that were popular on the poll. Opening Thought:Feels Like Carolina is Parmalee's debut album with 4 singles, released in 2013. I do enjoy Parmalee's music style, and glad see they are back on mainstream with Just The Way, even though it was not exactly the same music style as this era. This album is definitely good, if not awesome. I have 5 songs from the album in my regular playlist, with 2 of them being my absolute favorite. I also found 3 songs from the album not enjoyable. #12 has 4 perfect rankers!

#12 Move
The last spot of this RD is "Move". 4 participants got the perfect ranking here. This song has been a #12 contender from the earlier stage of the submission period. This is the only song with 100+ points CLD's ThoughtWhile I find the lyrics of this song are kinda fun, this is not the type of melody I enjoy. ClevelandRox shared a fun fact about this song with me; Move is the same song as Cruise by Keith Anderson with "cruise" being changed to "move"!! Here's the move of Move!

#11 Dance
Another song with 1-word-title is leaving. LBTrocks ClevelandRox , and HeyHeyHey lost their last spots, while dgarcia3377 and Kris Kringle lost their top 5s. Considering this song is 17 points ahead of #12, "Move" was definitely a strong last-spot-song in this RD. CLD's ThoughtThis song is not too bad. It is quite plain melodically and lyrically, and thus forgettable, but the mood of the song is pleasant enough. A little surprised that this was on the polarizing side of this RD (4th most polarizing).

"Move" is a jam and I'm stunned that "Musta Had A Good Time" managed to escape the bottom 2.

Oh, I see tim decided to do this lol. Did you hate the album like you thought you would?! Overall I think this is a really solid record tbh. They've kinda lost me with their newer music but I did really enjoy this album back in the day.

#10 Day Drinkin'
Another song with no top 5 rankers is leaving. 2 points ahead of Dance is Day Drinkin'. This one is one of the least polarizing songs in this RD, CLD's ThoughtThis song is another song that is not too bad, but not awesome. This song has very pleasant mood, but sounds very safe. I prefer other songs with similar title over this one, including Day Drinking by LBT, Day Drunk by Morgan Evans, and Day Drinking by Triston Marez.

Yay PR! Yeah, "Day Drinkin'" isn't one of the best on this record. LBT's song >>>>
Also don't like "Dance" at all so I'm glad that left early, too lol.

#9 I'll Bring The Music
2nd most polarizing song is leaving! ClevelandRox lost his #1 while castleoblivion26 got rid of his #12. This song was written and released by Keith Anderson in 2014 as well. CLD's ThoughtWhile I'm not a huge fan of this melody, I enjoyed this version more than Keith Anderson version. This one definitely has a solid instrumental production, which well suits their brand as a country rock band.

Ouch. "I'll Bring The Music" kicks ass, but I'm not that surprised to see it perform poorly here due to Pulse's disdain for country/rock music and this band in general, lol.

#8 Musta Had A Good Time
Last reveal of the night! First single to lose is Musta Had A Good Time. castleoblivion26 becomes the second one to lose top 3, while tim and Kanenrá:ke got rid of their #12s. This was the most polarizing song, which HeyHeyHey correctly predicted while LBTrocks guessed the complete opposite. CLD's ThoughtThis song is interesting. This was very weak debut for Parmalee, and when I heard this first, I would have never known that these guys would ever had a #1 hit and I would ever be hosting a RD for these guys. Since then, I thought this was a terrible song, but when I tried this for this RD, I really enjoyed the lyrics while melody isn't still my thing. And even after I submitted my own list, I started enjoying this more, so I kinda underranked this jam (even considered adding this into my playlist for a bit lol). Again, not the best single choice, but a type of song that I would like to sing along at their concert (which I would like to go, and they were supposed to come to Vancouver!!) Edit: Yeah, I can enjoy this when I'm in a right mood. I'm tipsy right now after a few beers, and this sounds like a jam lol.

Thanks for sharing the Keith Anderson version castleoblivion26!! I was very interested in this since ClevelandRox mentioned it, and interestingly enough, I definitely prefer Keith's version! It's kidna funny as for I'll Bring The Music, I like Parmalee's version more.

Oh good all the awful songs left in the first half!
One more song left to go that I consider awful and the remaining would've actually made a decent ep.

"Musta Had A Good Time' is AMAZING, especially if you like the heavily rock-influenced country style (which I do) and I think the melody and vocals slay as well. Glad to see this make it all the way to 8 lol that is quite the accomplishment for this song when it comes to Pulse lol.
As much as I love it tho, 5 was as high as I could rank it based on the whole album and @ one point I was even questioning if it was gonna make my top 5 at all, but it did manage to secure a spot in there!

Even Luke Bryan's "Move" is better than this "Move"......which is something I never imagined I would hear myself say about that song or 90% of Luke Bryan's other output... "Dance" was a bit annoyingly repetitive, but I still found something a little bit charming about it that boosted it up a few positions higher on my list than I initially would have put it based on first impression. "Day Drinkin'" was very average. And yes, LBT's song is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better, lmao. But I did like this a little bit. "I'll Bring the Music" was god-awful. And look, the #1 ranker is the same person who stans for "Truck Yeah" and "Looking For That Girl" Although the Keith Anderson connection makes that #1 rank make sense... "Musta Had A Good Time" would have been an easy last place on most albums, but on this album......welcome to my top 10!!! Those lyrics are sooooo cringey. This sounds like an FGL reject.

This sounds like an FGL reject. lmao FGL hasn't done anything remotely like "Musta Had A Good Time" sonically speaking since their Anything Like Me EP from 2010, which was pre-"Cruise." I can understand drawing a comparison lyrically speaking, but musically they haven't done anything remotely in this style since breaking thru with "Cruise" IMO. I can concur that the lyrics are stupid, but on the other hand you must not have went to a lot of house parties in your day cuz they can get CRAZY so these lyrics might not be quite as absurd as you think, although I agree, this is not a song you listen to for its wonderful lyrical content :kii:

I'm not gonna lie I'm not a fan of this album and I don't really see myself ever revisiting 95% of this album. "Musta Had A Good Time" being a guilty pleasure made it easy to put near the top for me and I don't regret it. The lyrics are not good but the song is fun and I can enjoy it for what it is. Now if this was against non-Parmalee songs than yean this song would be rather low most likely.
"Carolina" is the only option for #1, the rest of the album blends together and I'm not sure I even remember any of the other songs at this point tbh

Oh, I see tim decided to do this lol. Did you hate the album like you thought you would? I was wondering when you were going to notice that I sent in a list! I wasn't planning on submitting for this album as Parmalee's style just isn't my cup of tea, but in the end I always try and give my support to all of the country rankdowns lol. "Musta Had a Good Time" was easily by least favorite song, so it should come as no surprise then that LBTrocks thinks it's a jam . One of the first things I listen for in a song are the lyrics and therefore I just couldn't get past how atrocious those were here...hard pass! I am relieved to see that I wasn't alone in putting this in last place though. For an album that I had never listened to before, I feel pretty good about the fact that my top 7 songs are still intact!

#7 My Montgomery
Kicking off the second reveal day with My Montgomery. The two participants tim and Kanenrá:ke who were doing good yesterday lost their top 3. CLD's ThoughtThis song stayed longer than I thought. I found the chorus of this song to be just too flat. Not bad as a song, but sounded a little boring to me.

Yea, I kind of had a feeling I might have one of the highest ranks for "My Montgomery" so I'm not at all surprised to see that be the case. I really enjoyed this song and it was one of the few that I felt a desire to come back around and listen to a few more times.

"My Montgomery" was definitely in the upper half of this album, but the lower-half of the upper-half, so it makes complete sense for it to leave now I liked it and would revisit it, but it was towards the bottom of the songs that I would revisit.

#6 Back In The Day
Another song with 70 points with smaller Std Dev is leaving here. Back In The Day was a top 5 contender until the two last submissions by LBTrocks and Kris Kringle . One of the co-writers is Chris Janson. CLD's ThoughtThis song has a solid melody and production. Not in my playlist, but would not mind revisiting this from time to time.

#5 Think You Oughta Know That
The first song in the top 5 is Think You Oughta Know That, leaving only 1 album track left; Another Day Gone. This one had bad start (bottom 2), but managed to climbed up into the top 5! CLD's ThoughtI really like this one and happy that this is in the top 5!! The great instrumental production and the well constructed verse creates a perfect mood for the strong chorus melody, and this is lyrically appealing as well. Also, the first 2 seconds of the intro kinda reminds me of "The Good Ones" by Gabby Barrett.

Glad to see "Think You Oughta Know That" make the top 5! This was actually the song that persuaded me to do this rankdown and another that I revisited a handful of times, so it was all but a given that it would then land in my top 2.
