It is difficult to say which song out of “Carolina”, “Close Your Eyes”, and “Already Callin’ You Mine” is going to win this. I am personally rooting for “Carolina” but I do really enjoy all three.
“Another Day Gone” is a really nice song and even though I think it will land at #4 - it is a well deserved ‘highest album track’ honor.

#4 Another Day Gone
The last album track to leave is "Another Day Gone". This is the first song without bottom three rankers. Also, this is the last track of the album. CLD's ThoughtThis is my favourite album track for sure, and one of the highlights of the album. I adore the melody of this song and the last part of the song is very good as well. While this was on the polarizing side of this RD, glad this ends up becoming the highest album track. This should have been a single, instead of "Good Time".

#3 Already Callin' You Mine
The first hit single to leave is Already Callin' You Mine. LBTrocks becomes the second person to lose #1 and with ClevelandRox losing his #10, all the bottom 3 rankings are gone. CLD's ThoughtWhile I prefer their 2 other hit singles to this one, this is a solid song. It's lyrically not too distinct, but the chorus melody and the instrumental production is very strong. Also, #2 song is 5 points ahead of this song, but there is only one top 2 ranker for that one, while this one has four! The graph below is almost showing that I'm responsible for this ending up at #3 and missing the top 2, but that was ClevelandRox's #10 ranking :kii:

#1 Carolina
Two of the most successful singles finish this RD!! And we did it again, look at this average of 1.2 and low Std Dev of 0.42!!!! This is even lower than two of my RD winners with low avg/std; Wasting All These Tears (1.29, 0.82) and Criminal (1.27, 0.65). And Carolina only has top 2 rankings, which explains how strong this song is!! CLD's ThoughtClose Your Eyes is actually the first song by Parmalee I added into my playlist. Such a strong follow-up single to Carolina, and should have hit #1! Carolina has a perfect melody and production, and definitely it is (and will be) Parmalee's best song. It was known as a zombie song, as this was sent to recurrent in the middle of the chart run, and came back to hit #1. I usually don't like this sort of chart movings, but this one 100% deserved to become #1 hit. Even Carolina could not hit #1 in Canada, so Just The Way was their first #1 hit in Canada.

While definitely not my cup of tea, I’ll gladly take another notch on the belt for a perfect #1 ranking (although I’m most certainly falling behind castleoblivion26 and even bboat11 by now lol)! I wish I could say I had more to add as far as each individual song goes, but this was honestly a first-time (one and only that is) listen for me and so considering I’m not an avid fan there’s not much I feel as though I could add to the conversation. That said, I do try and keep an open mind in regards to music and likely wouldn’t have listened to this album otherwise...so thanks 🌺CountryLineDancer for hosting this! |

While definitely not my cup of tea, I’ll gladly take another notch on the belt for a perfect #1 ranking ( although I’m most certainly falling behind castleoblivion26 and even bboat11 by now lol)! I wish I could say I had more to add as far as each individual song goes, but this was honestly a first-time (one and only that is) listen for me and so considering I’m not an avid fan there’s not much I feel as though I could add to the conversation. That said, I do try and keep an open mind in regards to music and likely wouldn’t have listened to this album otherwise...so thanks 🌺CountryLineDancer for hosting this! This month is a female month (yes the more poplar one), and let's try Jana Kramer (she's been having hard days recently, it seems  ). It's a self-titled debut album by Jana released in 2012 with three singles. All the recent non-album singles will be included in the next RD. It's a solid one, and hoping to get around 12 participants!!

You'll see that I do 95% of all country RDs, but I do draw the line at a few artists and Parmalee is definitely one of them. Zero interest in suffering through their album on my end, lol. Jana Kramer, otoh, I absolutely LOVE. I can't wait to do her second album at some point too because it is even better than her debut effort was. She should've had a lot more success imo. She was a total package. |

I listened to this album when it came out a few times and thought it was a solid group of songs. I will definitely participate in this since I forget how some of these songs go.

I gave the album a first listen tonight!! I'll give it another spin before I send my list :) Also, does Tylerjamesnerd know about this??! It would be criminal to do this without him! Tylerjamesnerd, I know you haven't participated in rankdowns really, but you should do this! All you have to do is rank the songs on her first album from favorite to least favorite, and then send your list to 🌺CountryLineDancer in a private message. He will enter everyone's lists into a spreadsheet, and then use that data to compile basically a countdown to Pulse's collective favorite track on the album based on the data from everyone's lists! |
