Another two #1 loss is here, by nathanalbright and LBTrocks. Being the second most polarizing song, Fire and taylor got rid of their bottom 3 rankings. Overall, this song was favoured in this RD with six top 5 rankings, compared with the early exit of this song in the YE RD.
CLD's Thought I started really liking this song after it was released as a single. This is a total jam with super powerful chorus and strong Gabby's vocal. I was quite surprised at its early exit in the YE RD, even though I knew some posters were pointing out the Gabby's unclear diction, which might be the case, but I found that to be rather trifle regardless, like it never prevented me from enjoying the song. We can always check a lyric video and memorize it just so that you can enjoy the song even with some unclear lyrical delivery.
“Footprints On the Moon” is still easily my fav Gabby song, the melody is absolutely gorgeous and I don’t know what everyone is talking about with not being able to understand her in the chorus cuz to my ears it’s clear as day what she’s singing.
Wow “Thank God” made it top 3. Love it but wasn’t expecting that. The top 5 of the rank down are the top 5 on the album, so that’s satisfying, I personally have a different ordering for them though.
The first single to leave in the top 5 has two "1 rankings from bboat11 and .indulgecountry . Also, three participants scored perfect rankings. This song was hanging around #2 until all of the last three lists placed this at #11.
Wow, this rankdown would have been so much better if you'd proceeded without waiting for people who didn't bother to do it on time!
It's always a strange phenomenon when so many people in a row are so far off from the consensus. Shame it always seems to happen to the underrated dark horse songs.
By 1 point, the best performing album track beat Footprints to sneak into the top 3! This received three #1 rankings, and only one bottom 5 ranking from bboat11.
CLD's Thought This was my favourite album track back when the album was released. The chorus melody is really strong, and I was wishing it would be released as a single. I got a little burnt out on this song, and rediscovery of other songs made this song fall to my #7, but I still like this song and listen to it sometimes. Glad it lasted long, but also pretty surprised.
Thank God should've been single #3 and I'm really happy it made Top 3, it will probably be one of my favorite songs from Gabby ever. It was clear from the beginning, that I Hope and The Good Ones will be Top 2.
This is it! The battle between two big hits was concluded here! Cross-genre hit I Hope received one #1 five top 3 rankings and one bottom 5 ranking. The Good Ones received four #1, nine top 3, and two bottom 5 rankings!
I'm happy for this result!! I recall I Hope was a grower, I was rooting for Gabby back in American Idol, but I was not too excited for I Hope as much as i wanted to be at first. The more listens I gave, however, I started liking it more and more. No comment on Charlie's remix, I still appreciate its existence only because it helped her career. The Good Ones is beautiful, amazing melody and delivery, I fell in love with it instantly. Music video is pretty nice as well. I'm hoping it will make it to say top 20 in the YE RD, as it definitely deserves it.

Closing Thought: Thank you everyone for participating in this RD and being engaging during the reveal! When I tried this album for the first time, I recall I was not that impressed, even though I was a fan of hers from American Idol, only two singles at that time, and Thank God were in my playlist. Now, after the release of the Deluxe edition and giving more listens, 8 out of 15 songs are in my playlist, realizing the awesomeness of her debut! While she, unfortunately, lost the momentum with the flop of Footprint, Pick Me Up is looking promising. Even though she is polarizing in many different aspects, (I think she is overheated in general), I would say she is going to stick around for a longer period of time with her strong materials which showcase how unique personality, and can't wait to see what she has for her sophomore album. Don't forget to leave more comments, as I am not opening the next RD (Ryan Hurd) yet.
Final Result: 1."The Good Ones" (55) 2."I Hope" (68) 3."Thank God" (75) 4."Footprints on the Moon" (76) 5."Pick Me Up" (79) 6."Write It on My Heart" (90) 7."Hall of Fame" (94) 8."Never Get It Back" (97) 9."Strong" (112) 10."Got Me(featuring Shane & Shane)" (125) 11."You're the Only Reason" (131) 12."Jesus & My Mama" (131) 13."Goldmine" (138) 14."I Will Always Love You" (143) 15."Rose Needs a Jack" (146)
“The Good Ones” wore on me negatively over time. I do still love the vocal arrangement but after a while I was like we get it, you got a good man. Repeating it to death in the song got pretty annoying after a while. I did hear this on the radio and did enjoy it tho, maybe I just needed some time away from it lol. Anyway, if we had done this closer to the album’s release, this would have easily made my top 5.
“I Hope” did the opposite, I actually didn’t like the song or Gabby’s voice initially then it clicked and I adored both lol

Thanks for inviting me to this one; I must admit that it was a good discovery for me and some of the songs (like Footprints On The Moon) are ones I will definitely return to.

Ryan Hurd EPs Part 2
Deadline: April 26
List of Songs
1. Her Name Was Summer 2. Half Hoping 3. Platonic 4. Florida with a Girl 5. Wish for the World 6. Every Other Memory 7. Heartless 8. False God 9. Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset 10. Payback ft. The Cadillac Three 11. What If I Never Get Over You
Okay, so this is actually the first time I'm doing the part 2 in this series, even thought I have been intending to do so for other artists. Anyways, Ryan Hurd RD is back, and this time, y'all are ranking songs from two of his EPs and one single release Her Name Was A Summer. To A T is cut off, as you've ranked it in the first one (you're welcome .indulgecountry and ClevelandRox ). One unique thing is that there are some songs that he wrote for other artists, like Heartless, What If I Never, and Sunrise Sunburn, and also a cover song False God. I know Luke Bryan or Morgan Wallen would not be favoured by all and What If I was the winner of 2019 RD, but don't forget to rank them based on the Ryan's versions!
This RD had a decent turnout last time, so I'm half hoping to get a good number again!

FINAL LAST CALL + PRE-REVEAL QUESTIONS Sorry about the delay. Now is the last chance to let me know that you're willing to participate! Otherwise, once LBTrocks's list was received, I am closing this.
Pre-reveal questions* 1. What is going to be in the top/bottom 3? 2. Which song is going to be the most/least polarizing? 3. Which cover is going to do the best/worst? (False God, What If I Never Get Over You, Sunrise Sunburn Sunset, and Heartless). 4. Every Other Memory was the only radio single in the list. Was it the right choice? 5. Any other thoughts?
I was at work today and "Chasing After You" came on the radio and I realized I.... never did this 🌺CountryLineDancer I can knock this out tonight if you're still waiting for me, if not I can just follow along!
