Pretty good Post grunge vibe. Not the most exciting song around, but it stays hard from start to finish.

Hey, I mean, if Chevelle can still make the top 40 on Alternative in this day and age (and hang around for 5 going on 6 weeks) why not this? I figure KPNT, WBUZ, KIWR, and a couple others will jump on - this being submitted to Alt CNM gives them a great excuse to pick up a banger without it being a ding to their Alt status. I am with Doc - definitely not the most exciting song on Active, though it's definitely one of the most lively songs on Alternative by default. The vocals are pleasant and clean, and I love how the bass is positioned in the mix, prominent and crunchy but not overwhelming the guitars. The double guitar solos (culminating in the lead and rhythm guitarists shredding together) are a NICE touch to this as well, that's not something you see a lot even on the Active format anymore. Considering how much pure ass Active has to put up with and that Alternative is starting to get lively again with the pop-punk revival, a competent song that hovers on the boundary between post-grunge and alt-metal is a welcome addition in my book. Definitely higher ceiling on Active than Alternative though.

Because this is one of the pure ass songs on active imo. It is extremely generic radio rock filler. Just my thoughts.

A Killer's Confession, Any Given Sin, and Foundry are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse about this, but that's just me. The fact that these guys can shred elevates them up a notch or two in my book.

(Finally)
To add on to my comment, one good guitar solo/shredding whatever is not an excuse for saving a song. When you want to add a little chocolate ice cream to a plate of leftover waffles from a month ago would I still eat them? No. Just look at Five Finger Death Punch. Also doesn't help that the lyrics (which you did not point out in your comment) are typical active wangst. Lyrics have never been great for this format but here they only make this stand out less.
Also mac, surprised you don't care about Any Given Sin considering they sound like Shinedown imo. (And I would argue they do their style better than them now)
