The lack of releases make my feel nostalgic for 2016, yeah the charts sucked but it felt like we were getting releases left and right like some from 2015 taking off like Adele, Coldplay and Justin Bieber and releases from Rihanna, Drake, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Chance the Rapper, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Maren Morris, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Sia, ScHoolboy Q, Sturgill Simpson, Kehlani, David Bowie, Travis Scott, Little Mix, etc, too bad the charts didn't reflect how iconic 2016 was for music.

Young Thug doesn't have the star power to credit him as the reason for the success of Go Crazy. Clearly a lot of people don't care about Mr Brown's reputation. |

With no new releases from even B-listers in the near future, we should be getting used to hits like My Head & My Heart and (god help us) Lifestyle being solely driven by payote I'd say the upcoming M*roon F*ve song will probably undercut Lifestyle's momentum because both have Adam Levine on them, but Moves Like Jagger and Stereo Hearts managed to become hits around the same time in 2011, so that defeats my point. |

The current R&B mainstream revival going on honestly is probably the best thing on the charts rn imo
I'm hoping Kali Uchis's "telepatΓa" stays having the current success its having on streaming so that it, Streets, and Good Days can continue the trend for other R&B songs
Even Jazmine Sullivan being on the Hot 100 at #88 with Pick Up Your Feelings is a win for R&B since its more often then not R&B music is paid dust by the mainstream scene aside from one occasional R&B hit over the past few years
