looks like we've gotta leave the door open for leave the door open to debut at #1? I think Drake's got the #1 on lock, but my gut tells me his songs are going to fizzle out like Toosie Slide, while Leave the Door Open will climb its way to #1 and have better longevity. Don’t forget he’s in album mode now. Going into Views and Scorpion, his singles were a lot more stable and ready to dominate the charts

Okay but Leave the Door Open is a jam. When I heard the first ten seconds I was so happy he made a 70s soul song.

Going into Views and Scorpion, his singles were a lot more stable and ready to dominate the charts To be honest, even if What's Next manages to debut at #1, I don't see it spending a long time at #1, if only because I don't know that radio will pick up the record. It's a rough, rap cut. It's not very melodic. You're right, though, when he's in album mode, his #1 hits are a lot more stable: God's Plan: 11 weeks at #1 One Dance: 10 weeks at #1 In My Feelings: 10 weeks at #1 Work: 9 weeks at #1 Nice for What: 8 weeks at #1

God's Plan: 11 weeks at #1 In My Feelings: 10 weeks at #1 Work: 9 weeks at #1 Nice for What: 8 weeks at #1 38 weeks at #1 in 2018 Work was 2016, so he spent 29 weeks at #1 in 2018. 30 if you count Sicko Mode. He broke the record for most weeks at #1 in a calendar year that was previously held by Usher in 2004 (28).

If you include SICKO MODE, Drake had 30 weeks at 1 in 2018.

Drake will probably debut number one, and plummet, but I could see it hang around the top 20 like Money in the grave.
I think Bruno debuts number 2 but hangs around the top 10 a long time.

Not Around should have been one of the songs on Scary Hours 2. It would have easily been No. 1 this week. But Most artist got strict policies for leaks and singles.

Awful songs from Drake as usual. Hotline Bling or One Dance were the only songs of him i enjoyed. He'll slay though.

From what I can tell nobody really cares about anything Post does feature wise, his fanbase really just waits for him to release his own music. I swear he's even more successful when it's just him on a track (no features).

I swear he's even more successful when it's just him on a track (no features). I disagree on him being more successful on his solo songs. Congratulations, Sunflower and Rockstar are 3 of his biggest hits and they aren't solo. Circles is his only huge hit as a solo artist.

^You forgot about Rockstar and Psycho. In addition to Circles, his other major solo hits have been Better Now and Wow. Based on that, he has been most successful on songs with him as the lead artist with a featured artist.

Based on that, he has been most successful on songs with him as the lead artist with a featured artist. Rockstar is a part of the songs I mentioned but I missed Psycho. Better Now, Wow and Circles are also hits but you're right, he generally does well when he features another artist on his song. Only 3 of his 9 top 10 hits are solo. Post Malone's top 10 hits and weeks spent in the top 10, updated through the July 4, 2020 chart. 39 Circles 33 Sunflower (Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse) 25 Rockstar 24 Wow 21 Psycho 19 Better Now 12 Goodbyes 6 Congratulations 1 Take What You Want

Bruno/Anderson .Paak are up to #15 (woohoo!!!) on Apple Music while Justin is up to #53. I really love both songs. I'd love to see them debut in the top 10.

at It Wasn't Me being higher than Bieber's Hold On on iTunes and Wilson Phillips' Hold On only couple of places behind it. (Yes I know iTunes is irrelevant in general)

Since we're talking about Post's hits, a reminder that this song is bigger than a lot of #1 hits.
