So, with Peaches gonna hit no.1, when was the last time, a non 1st single/non 2nd single, topped the chart the same week the parent album also debuted at no.1? Hard to call a song a βnon singleβ when it had a music video, placed at the top of new music playlists, and an add date at Rythmic radio. The reach.

They were saying it wasn't the first or second single (that'd be Holy or Lonely). Peaches is the fifth single!

Why do artists have to be so demonic nowadays? It turns me away from them. Itβs also why I donβt like Billie Eilish, itβs too edgy for me as a Christian. The best music is the music that can be played in front of everybody that everyone will enjoy (children, elderly). Just my opinion

bad guy was like that, it was the fifth single off of WWAFAWDWG and dethroned OTR but it didn't debut there.

When the song coincides with the album release, it doesn't matter if it's the 1st, 2nd or 8th single, if it clicks with the public. It's always a new song.
In Bieber's case, it's a bit bizarre that Peaches wasn't released beforehand instead on Hold On though - his 1st week streams for the album could've been better as a whole with bigger hype.

Anyone feel like 2019 is like 2009 with new artists coming in and taking over the charts? 2009 had Lady Gaga, Drake, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, Jeremih, Justin Bieber, Kid Cudi, etc. and 2019 had Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, DaBaby, Megan thee Stallion, Ava Max, Lil Tjay, etc.

Is there a way to know if UGC streams have decreased or increased from early 2020 to early 2021?

I don't think Nas X is gonna debut that high, probably Top 40 and maybe Top 20. But Top 10 seems like a lot, I guess we'll see.

All activities really. But... then how would those kids be made in the first place Sally?

Do you know what it means to be demonic? It's neither this or Billie Eilish. And children are enjoying it just fine. I'm sure the elderly aren't, but that's not really a demographic a popular musician worries about. We aren't talking about Madonna here.

I didnβt think βdrivers licenseβ would even chart initially, let alone hit #1. I had no idea there was so much demand for βCalling My Phoneβ. Nothing is predictable anymore.

The new Lil Nas X is definitely a tune. It's much better than whatever Holiday was. Still left to be seen if it'll take off, though. A lot of new music tonight.

Truee, nowadays I should expect anything to happen. Plus the charts are so weak right now that even if Nas X doesn't have a huge opening he could still get a lofty debut.

Wait, why are people expecting something from Lil Nas X? He hasn't had a huge hit post-"Old Town Road" so why would this one be huge?

Being a famous singer doesn't make them immune to anything that everyone else goes through, especially when it is Demi Lovato. Her personal struggles have been known publicly for a long time and making an album like this allows her to relieve the stress and burdens she deals with, just like any singer. There's nothing demonic about it at all tho, so I don't know what you're getting at with this...

Call Me By Your Name bangs pretty hard but goddamn it's short AF! Can we get some longer tracks?
This leaves a bit of room for a remix I guess, time to bring Billy Ray back.

I guess it's a common pattern at the end of a decade, and it represents a new generation of artists taking over. **Disclaimer: I know their debut albums came earlier, but I'm basing this off their first Year-End appearance.
