It’s a decent song, but I can’t watch the video. JB just looks so goofy in it, especially in that orange suit lol

Probably be his biggest solo hit since Love Yourself/Sorry? but this features two other artists, lol. But the answer to the question is yes. Lol I forgot about Giveon and the other guy, but yeah as a lead I meant (then again he's lead on IDC and Despacito?, alright this is confusing haha) it probably will be his biggest hit since the Purpose era.

Yep, it's funny how hard he tried to get Yummy to number one and this here wasn't even supposed to be the next pop single, although he was prepared having this decent video ready. I actually don't mind Peaches video, he should do more theatrical and different character thing not to do this Holy and decent guy thing, which is kinda boring. Next video please some real bad boy imago!

It's impossible for Peaches to be as big as WDYM, Sorry or Love Yourself. Those were released when pop was the dominant genre.
Sales is down and pop songs in general can't compete in streaming especially on applemusic. Yummy, Intentions and Peaches did better on applemusic (peaked #2, #4 and #1 respectively) because they are not pure pop like Lonely, Anyone and Hold On.

You can’t use metrics to determine which song is bigger. The industry changes all the time. What you can use, however, is your feelings, and everyone else’s collective feelings. If everyone feels like Peaches is bigger than WDYM? then it is! Simple as that. You can’t use sales from back then and you can’t use streaming from right now. Two different climates.

I’m not sure I can pin point what Bieber’s signature song is? Obviously the 3 #1s from his “Purpose” era was when he was at his peak. But those 3 singles were straight up pop tracks and had minimal crossover appeal. “Peaches” seems to check off more boxes and may have more longevity. I guess time will tell.

"Blinding Lights" is a pop song and became one of the most popular of all time. I've thought of "Sorry" as his signature if he has one but I'd argue he's more famous/bigger than any of his individual songs. "Peaches" will likely join the three Purpose hits at the top of his singles discography. And "Baby." I'm sure Bieber and Scooter wanted more from the four previous Justice singles but I also wonder really how much of an accident "Peaches" is. Maybe it's on purpose that the album's big single is being released with the album to maximize hype. The earlier singles weren't huge but they kept him on the radio/in the general conversation for months leading up to its release. But who knows, maybe I'm giving them more credit than deserved .

It would still be HUGE if he had released it instead of yummy though. But he couldn't really go from Yummy and intentions to peaches. Build up radio play, pre album singles to keep spss up, and building up some goodwill with the public before the peaches drop with the album was a good idea, probably an accident though.

Why does it matter if sales are down if "Peaches" is num.1 in streaming and doing huge numbers at radio and sales are down everywhere? Did "What Do You Mean" have huge sales at the time? I think it may have but still. Because "Peaches" has great streams right now which is kind of similar to great sales given the times. (i hate it) "Peaches" did come out at num.2 at sales unless you include BTS. Then num.3 then. Not bad??

I bet if you asked my mother "what does Justin Bieber sing"? She would probably sing "Baby Baby Baby Oh".... lol

"Baby" is memorable for all the wrong reasons but I'd say "Sorry" has surpassed it in terms of popularity and impact.

Yeah, this must have had a separate radio deal during the album release week. Still massive numbers though.

This song is such a nice groove. I think there are better songs on the album (i.e. the ones that have been released as singles/promo and Off My Face, Somebody, Love You Different, and Loved By You), but I'm happy for its success because it's a vibe. I think the chorus is goofy as hell though, but it works.

"Love You Different" was another one no one ever mentions and that's another big favorite of mine off there along with "Hold On and Loved By You". I'm also getting into one of the more RnB/hip hop influenced bonus tracks.
