I think there’s still a slight chance but once it peaks on radio then it’s over. And it’s climbing radio vert fast. I think it has about a month to get to that point also bare in mind that drake my drop within that time.

Anyone else feels like LTDO moment has passed? Like it might not get to #1 at all. These new releases are smashing, and I was surprised that Cardi managed to beat it this past week too. It's rising steadily on radio, but it seems to be losing momentum on streaming, so its best chance at #1 is if Bruno and Anderson plan to release the album as soon as the song reaches its radio peak. However, I don't think it would be much of an issue if the song doesn't take the crown - it's still pretty consistent across the board, after all. |

Yeah, it's increases on radio have also slowed down a bit. I'd like to say if it remains stable enough, it could reach #1 in a few months but by then, I'm guessing many other major mainstream artists would have music out that would probably prevent that from happening. All in all, if it can remain stable in the top 10 for several months, that'll be enough. Life Is Good, Don't Start Now, Intentions, Whats Poppin, Laugh Now Cry Later, I Hope & Holy from last year all failed to peak at #1 but managed to be bigger hits than 8 of the 20 #1's last year. |

I don't think Bruno has ever had a song that peaked at #2, at least (possibly) until now.
For a while, he and Cardi B were the two active artists who could never get a song to peak at #2 - it was always either #1 or not in the top 2 at all.

Newcomer Lainey Wilson has a song that debuted at #16 on the Bubbling Under last week, and it's currently only at #28 on the Mediabase country chart. I have a feeling it's gonna debut pretty soon while it's still rather early on its radio run, which is great, because the song is excellent and deserves the attention. |

Bruno/his team are strong chart watchers, so I wouldn't be surprised if they conjured up some tricks during a specific week and snatched #1.
Back in the day, "When I Was Your Man" was one of the very few songs at the height of digital sales that was discounted at 69cents to peak #1. "That's What I Like" had very big promotional pushes that week it went #1 from my memory too (discount, remix, a challenge was uploaded, etc).
And actually, they already are selling pre-orders of a CD single for LTDO for next week, so they clearly are going to try to go #1 next week anyways.

I’m looking at the 5/1 and 5/8 weeks because that’s when Nothin on You went #1 in 2010, so maybe they’d try to match the anniversary. |

I barely listen to top 40 music anymore but Justin’s new song Peaches is a jam. Perfect for the summer. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t have an extended stay at #1.

It’s already been 2 months and it already essentially killed the singles for this era. That's for individual (black) people to decide. Personally, I'm still pretty uncomfortable listening to them - I've tried, maybe I'll be able to enjoy their music again one day (because I used to love it), but right now all I can think of is that. I'd assume the same is true for individual radio hosts - I really doubt their audiences would be up in arms if they reinstated their music, so I assume that this is a decision based on principles and their uncomfortableness wrt the actions of that individual. |

Especially when it would be Cardi B, of all people, to have kept it from #1 (though I guess the fact that it debuted the same week as Drake's album bomb didn't help matters, either). I also want Anderson .Paak to get his time to shine at the top. It still upsets me that "Tints" hardly saw any commercial success. |

I mentioned this in the MH&MH thread in the CHR/Pop subforum, but All Around The World is in the top 10 of the lowest net-positive callouts ever published on Pop since 1999. So it appears the song that MH&MH samples has not seen its reputation improve over 2 decades later, which may explain why Ava's callouts are not good.
FWIW, it seems to be faring a little better on Hot AC right now. Then again, that format might be a bit kinder to Ava, especially as K&Q topped their callouts just today.

I find it funny how "Mood" has been in the top ten for 30 weeks now, which had only happened once three times before 2017, yet that feels like nothing due to "Blinding Lights" having been in the top ten for so much longer. It's crazy, if you think about it...

lol "34+35" is seriously about to fall below "Positions" in overall radio I'm late I know but I think it's important noting Positions was only released a week before 34+35. So it falling below Positions isn't that crazy as they both ascended the charts around the same time. |
