Glad Need You Now made it to top 2! Torn is a decent song, and while my ranking is kinda low, I think it deserves the spot. But surprised that MGMT made it to #6 in this list...
I mean I don't listen to this type of music at all, but yeah, I don't really get the appeal to this song. Also, the music video is just terribly gross. I regret watching it while having my lunch. I'm just in complete disbelief that my list is the ONLY time this song was not in the top 5.... Literally the only song in this entire rankdown that I listened to and thought "Oh good, there's at least one obvious bottom 5 contender in this awesome list of songs..."

"Kids" is both one of the most streamed songs of the 2000s and one of the most critically acclaimed. This is not a surprising finish at all

Looks like I pulled it out of top 3, and you pulled it out of top 5! I'm gonna stop here though, or I would be putting my name in the bad book of 13 posters who put this in their top 10. (or I may have already)

And for what it's worth, I didn't HATE "Kids" or anything, it was just not a standout to me in comparison to a relatively strong list of all-time classics. If I was to rank it in a year-end rd or something, I could totally see it being closer to the middle of my list :)

{ONE LAST WORD WALL}#10: Technically one of my lowest remaining, but I'm glad it made the top ten, anyway. Ritt Momney, what kind of name is that, anyway #9: Once gates mentioned wanting to get "Chasing Cars" out, it finally hit me that maybe this was the highest SD after all. This has grown off of me in a big way in recent years. I still love "Run", though. #8: Imagine ranking this bottom five. #7: not gates top two going out back to back (and this has grown on me from when it showed up in RDs previously, too) #6: Well, I was right about it having a high SD, anyway. #5: I was so torn between my top two here, I genuinely wish I could have made it a tie. In the end, I resolved to myself, "'The Fear' probably needs the help more", and I was at least right about it being lower. I've had a scant few "safety blanket" songs, and this one wormed its way into being one of them. #4: At this point, I thought this or "Torn" was winning, and this is out, soooooo... #3: Nobody said it was easy... Well, I have a feeling I know how this is about to go, and I have a hunch that, even if I had ranked the probable winner lower, I doubt it would have mattered. #2: I'm amazed that this just continues to do really well in almost every rankdown it's in, even with everything surrounding them in recent times. Even with that in mind, this song remains untouchable. #1: I've never gotten the hype with this song, really. It's fine, probably good, but it's a bit mid, and I'd argue that Natalie has better songs that weren't big hits. Oh well, I'll just continue being an outlier. It's not like anything has changed. This didn't end exactly how I wanted it to end, but "Chasing Cars" didn't win, so I'd say that this was a successful RD no matter what. Great job hosting, @greento.
