Let's go! Hyped that my one last non-90's rankdown produced such a favourable result for the winner. And glad that "Teenage Dream" finally got to win a big rankdown! Thanks for hosting, Red, fearlessarrow, and wrip. It was a lot of fun going back to this year's charts; biggest nostalgia trip I had had in a while!

Thank god the mistakes that were made in this RD were minor in comparison to the previous re-do. I would have lost my mind if there had been a bigger mistake.
As always, I would like to thank everyone that helped to continue the successful re-do train, which includes those of you who submitted, followed along, or even made just one or two posts in-thread. I would have stopped hosting rankdowns long ago if it wasn't for all of you. I especially want to thank both wrip and fearlessarrow for carrying my ass being some of the best co-hosts a person could ask for. I don't know what the future holds, as far as us co-hosting another RD is concerned, but I certainly wouldn't mind running it back with one or both of you all over again.
Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room. Originally, I had planned on doing just a three re-do RD trilogy: 2016, 2014, and 2011. Those were the three rankdowns that I felt were most in need of a re-do...and, admittedly, they were also the only three RDs for year-end charts this millennium that I didn't previously do, so I wanted to do them, for completionist's sake. I don't have as much of a reason, theoetically, to do any other re-dos, because I have already submitted for every year-end Hot 100 chart since those OG RDs...or, at least, I thought I didn't have as much of a reason.
As I started doing these re-dos, it hit me that, even though I originally wanted to do the rankdowns in no small part because I didn't participate the first time, I started being more interested in seeing how songs would fare after years had passed, like we were doing a four/five year referendum on the rankdowns. It's because of this interest in seeing how things would change over time that, after I take a bit of a break from doing these re-dos to recharge and regroup, we will be doing more re-do rankdowns in the future. Particularly, I was looking at two more early Pulse rankdowns: 2013 and 2010. I'm also looking at the possibility of doing some 2000's re-dos, though 2013 and 2010 are front and center.
In the meantime, I'm going to take a break from hosting RDs for a bit. I'll see you guys soon.

Never got the appeal of Teenage Dream (pretty sure I ranked it low in its album ranking too). At least I didn't rank it #100 because that would've been sad LOL but ah well. Happy Katy got a chance to win even if with one of her tracks I don't care for.

Teenage Dream about to predictably win (Yes I know I ranked it WAY above RITD but considering Edge of Glory was my last shred of hope in this RD, I want RITD to win) You must not remember much rankdown history if you're expecting RITD to lose lol The only real question is how many hundreds of points did it win by You were saying?

Hey, I never said I disliked the song. I'd actually give it a light 6/10. It should click more with me, and maybe it'll be a bit higher once we re-do 2010, but it just doesn't hit me as hard as it should (no double entendre intended).

Geez, not even Taylor can escape the anti-country brigade.
Sorry, deep breath willapted33 , Leaf , @trilogy , Mylo13 💜 , and @gabingston ...but, of course, none moreso than the guy with a Taylor album in his name.
fearlessarrow is judging you all. #7 Taylor Swift - Back to December @gabingston - 1
I think this is the highest that one of my #1s has ever been in a Year-End Rankdown, surpassing Beautiful Day and I Took A Pill In Ibiza, which finished #10 and #9 in their respective rankdowns (2001 and 2016). While Taylor has put out great songs in both Country (Our Song, Love Story etc.) and Pop (Style, Wildest Dreams, Cruel Summer etc.), I don't think she's ever topped this, at least when it comes to her singles. This is one of the best written and most mature hit songs that I've ever heard in my life, and shows just how great of an artist Taylor Swift can be.

lol, the co-hosts literally lost their #1s back to back to back. I'm so proud of this song's performance, though. The fact that this song didn't even crack the top 40 last time is criminal, so it's nice to see history change its course here.
Sorry, Mayman , matteeeb , BB🌕 , aerodynamite , Golden Bluebird , and dremolus - solarpunk . #5 Kanye West f/ Rihanna - All of the Lights @gabingston - 2
This might be the best Hip-Hop hit of the 2010s. I am blown away by this song. Kanye may be an... interesting figure, but when he is on HE IS ON.

#2 Adele - Rolling in the Deep @gabingston - 5
#1 Katy Perry - Teenage Dream @gabingston - 25
This is a very worthy Top 2. Rolling In The Deep has already cemented itself as a classic of the 2010s, and deserves all of the acclaim it has recieved. When it comes to Teenage Dream, it hasn't fully clicked with me like it should, but it is a very good pop song nonetheless. Congratulations, Katy Perry, you've finally gotten that Year-End Rankdown #1. As for you, Adele, you did win the original RD, so I'm hoping that you're OK with #2 this time around. I'll see you guys in whatever Year-End Rankdown y'all are redoing next, whether that be 2010, 2013 or 2017.

Which years from the 2000s do you think would be targets for re-do's? Obviously not 2001 or 2002, since they were done last year.

I was at work so I didn't get to say this sooner, but might as well now. First of all I'm so happy that Teenage Dream won! Honestly one of my favorite pop songs of the 2010s so I'm really happy Pulse treated it right.
Second, I'd just like to thank everyone for participating in this rankdown, and for making this a lot of fun! It's been such a fun time hosting this, and I'd especially like to thank Red and fearlessarrow for being amazing co-hosts! I'm so happy to have been able to co-host both this and 2014, so thank you Red for the opportunity! Hopefully I'll co-host again with you guys in the future :)

Last catch up! - #9 Super Bass, darn so close to perfect ranking (#8)! I miss Nicki around this time. Super Bass is her second best after Fly. - Only Girl is fine, 53 doesn't mean I didn't like it! - Back To December is great. I mean I can consider this as a country for sure, so yay, country in top 10! - All of the Lights was yeah, I guess not bad for Kanye, but I don't enjoy his music, except for Love Lockdown/Heartless. - A little surprised that Someone Like You is below Rolling In The Deep. Both are solid. - Teenage Dream is very great. As I said, Katy around this era was amazing. And hell yeah, least closest ranker That was fun! I'm looking forward to the next series, and thanks all the hosts for great work!

These results were so good! "Teenage Dream" is a very deserving winner. Most of my favorite songs made the top 10! I think that out of the pop girl hits at the top, "The Edge Of Glory" has become the one I care about the least. "Someone Like You" has slowly but surely grown to be one of my favorite songs of all time. The only word I can use to describe it is "brilliant". Also shoutout to "We Found Love", a smash to remember. Thank you for hosting bbs! What a great group of hosts! Kisses to wrip, fearlessarrow and Red

Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate "Rolling In The Deep", but the relentless praise and overplay has made it one of the most overrated songs in my eyes, so I'm beyond grateful "Teenage Dream" was able to beat it here. Katy Perry's best era deserves all the love.
The whole top 10 was excellent, though, and I would have been happy with any of them winning.
I wasn't able to participate in this rankdown due to a busy schedule, but I'm looking forward to joining the next re-do.
