Not surprised, their fanbase will send anything new to #1 on iTunes. I’m more concerned about the website sales, if those are happening for this song. I see they also have the most viewed video on YouTube, but I don't see it on either Spotify nor Apple Music. It’s a Japanese single for an upcoming movie so it’s only being promoted there. The Japanese/ the rest of the fanbases are pretty split up so they usually leave the Japanese singles alone.

Coi Leray is currently the only female artist with two songs in the Top 40 on Apple Music US (#21 'BIG PURR, #33 'No More Parties'). Go queen. Would be nice to see her on the XXL freshman cover this year.

Not surprised, their fanbase will send anything new to #1 on iTunes. I’m more concerned about the website sales, if those are happening for this song. As of now it's not available on the webstore. Since that's not an option Armys are buying on iTunes, Amazon and Qobuz. There is a wildcard in the mix with this song that should not be ignored, though. In addition to BTS Army there are "solo stans" who don't usually take part in vigorous support of songs by the entire group. Instead they buy the solo songs or mix tapes of the member they like. Film Out was written and produced by Jungkook, the youngest member. He also happens to be the most popular person on Tik Tok (something like 41 billion views) despite not even having an account, lol. His solo stans were actually outselling Life Goes On with the song from the BE album that he wrote until they were finally convinced to stop it. These solo stans are not really part of Army and depending on how crazy they get in buying the song, it's really anyone's guess what might happen.

Something really interesting about the Hot 100 points breakdown for year end 2021 on that website is that Dynamite is the only song that had a somewhat even balance across all 3 metrics. It has 32% sales, 39% streaming and 29% airplay. Even though Dynamite did get decent airplay, in comparison to other songs that did less in streaming and far less in sales got 30% more in airplay than Dynamite did. The site looks nice but it loads kind of slow.

Kworb does have the advantage of allowing you to see even more songs with at least 5M AI that haven’t made the overall top 100 yet.

That's probably true, but just as it's a dying metric for most artists it's actually the norm for BTS to sell very well.

Silk Sonic just released a lyric video for "Leave The Door Open". With this and the live audio available on streaming, it seems like they're hoping to potentially hit #1 this week. "MONTERO" and "Peaches" are still too strong, though.

The top 2 is gonna be stable for a few more weeks yet, especially with LTDO seeing slower radio gains recently.

Today BTS has 3 songs on Spotify Global. One in korean, one in english and one in japanese. Did this ever happened before? I don't think so.

Kworb does have the advantage of allowing you to see even more songs with at least 5M AI that haven’t made the overall top 100 yet. You can search up any artist or song that's charting on their search function and you'll get the song. Searching up Taylor Swift, for instance, will show all of her songs that are charting on at least one format, including recurrents. It's a pretty cool tool you should try out. Kworb's advantage would be showing specific songs below the top 100. I'm not sure how useful knowing where specific songs stand are immediately when you could search it yourself....

Yeah, I'm just realizing that function now. Maybe it just wasn't working for me at the time I posted that (I was on mobile).

Lyric video's do next to nothing for a song, I'm not sure why they are always released in hope it will secure a #1.

I’m thinking Levitating is going to have really good streaming longevity in the summer.
